I'm a new bowler with much left to learn. Got this ball at a ProShop Closeout. Loved it from the start. I may lack the skills to fully appreciate this balls full capability but the ball does everything it can to assist me. Still learning the mechanics. I roll the ball fairly straight but this ball rolls over nicely and hits the pocket like a freigh train. If you are looking to move up from a plastic ball I highly recommend the Storm Passion. I don't know enough about the game to suggest a ball based on the name. I base everything that I am saying on the fact that I could not roll any hook with other balls, the Passion turns for me practically on its own. I roll at two different houses, both wood, one medidum oil the other light. Passion turns consistently on the medium oil but not much on the light oil. As my skills improve I see the balls capability almost immediately. I hope that this review helps other novices. I'm up to a 170 avg. Walter Ray here I come. Was a 140 avg with plasti

OVER ALL, THIS BALL GRIPS THE LANE AND CARRIES CORNER PINS. ITS HOOK IS PREDICTABLE AND EASY TO CONTROL. FOR MY STYLE OF PLAY (LEFTY/STROKER) THIS IS A GREAT BALL FOR A HOUSE SHOT OR TOURNAMENT PLAY. good ball over all with tremendous hitting power. where I bowl the lanes are SOMETIMES SPOTTY AND THAT'S WHEN THIS BALL workS the best . Works better when polished than dull. I don't really know what it would be like on really dry lanes. Really, overall a good ball that will hook if you want it to but if you bowl it TOO slow it will take off like a rocket. JUST LIKE EVERY BALL IN MY BAG. <s

OVER ALL, THIS BALL GRIPS THE LANE LIKE A FRIGGEN SNOW TIRE. ITS HOOK IS PREDICTABLE AND EASY TO CONTROL. THIS BALL SMELLS GREAT, LOOKS PRETTY COOL, AND IS JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF WHAT STORM CAN DO. TELL YOU WHAT, OUT OF THE BOX, THIS BALL HOOKS LIKE A MONSTER ON THE DRY LANES. IN OIL IT JUMPS LIKE MICHAEL JORDAN AFTER IT HITS THE DRY. THIS BALL WOULD DEFINATELY BE A GREAT BALL FOR A TOURNAMENT SHOT OR USE IN THE PBA. FOR THE PRICE....WELL ITS EXPENSIVE. PERSONALLY, I LIKE MEDIUM HOOKING BALLS THAT I CAN DRIVE UP THE FIRST AND SECOND ARROW AREA. ANYTHING MORE, I CANT BE AS ACCURATE AND HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY BALL SPEED.

Well, the ball is a great ball... when it is fresh out of the box. After you use it for a month or so it dies out and wont get very snappy. It is still in my bag after 6 months or so as well as a original Paradigm ( that actually hooks more, and The Thing Lives by Dyno-thane. Its also good for short patters and of course house shots. You really cant play inside because you do need some dry for it to react. But overall its a great ball and it is my go to ball for drier lanes.

Considering the ball I bought in place of this, the Triple X Factor, it's a HUGE upgrade for me. I don't throw with much finger or hand, I just sort of let the ball go and put most of my faith in the ball. With a ball that doesn't hook much (read: Triple X), not much really happened unless the lanes were medium to dry. In oil, just no. Then on a whim I bought this ball and boy am I happy. I've been playing in a variety of shots with it, and it's a champ both in the pools of oil or not. It works best in oil, retaining a bit more energy...but just like basically every good ball Storm has made, it's incredibly versatile. My average is up an insane 30 pins (From 190 to 220+) and I fully intend to buy another one, shine it up a bit and have the perfect arsenal for any kind of lane that gets thrown at me. Two very big thumbs up for storm.<scrip

i drilled this one up at 3-3/8 from my pap with the mass bais in a strong position to the lower right of the tumb hole. Storm's max flare layout. i found the ball to be quite nice in the heavy oil if you play down the boards. At 500 grit out of box the ball bleeds energy fast and does not have anything left in the backend. The hook motion is more midlane then backend. those wanting more backend should sand the ball to 1000 grit or less or simpy polish it. If you love storm equiptment or prefer playing the inside track in oil then this is a good ball for the heavy stuff. the problem i had with this ball is the price, there was nothing specail that seperated this ball from my mid range equiptment. this ball was outhooked by a scorchin inferno, hammer black widow ( sanded to 500) and a hammer pain (sanded to 500) i did however score quite well with it. 794 out of the box so once again for all you storm mongers this is a good ball. for the people that are concerned about price versu

I threw the Paradigm Passion on medium oil from 20-8 or so. As the oil carried down I had to allow a little more room but it adjusted reasonably. The ball lined up well and made a good strong move to the pocket. It wasn't snappy on the backend but that's alright. Had a few fast eights but other than that I was glad I got it. I've got it drilled with the pin under the ring finger and a weight hole at about 5 o'clock. Overall I was very happy with the ball. bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb

I only have 3 games on this ball but so far, it's fantastic. I was using the Paradigm, but when the Passion came out, I had to have one for the oily days. I was not disappointed. I come out the back with only a little side rev, but man did this ball crush the pocket. It did start to leave an 8 pin or 4 in the third game, but that was me not reacting to the breakdown. I need to learn to adjust or put it away. Of course, I have a pinched nerve in my right shoulder at the time, so.....The ball is drilled to break earlier than my Paradigm. Another great ball by Storm!

I got this ball because I loved my paradigm so much I thought I would try the solid version. So far I would say its ok. I havent really found a good shot to use it on. I think I am going to change the cover stock or plug and redrill to experiment alittle. Didnt hook as much as I thought it would. If I do have a shot this ball does hit like a mack truck. But after about a game it just sucks up the oil. Maybe I will just try and get out some more and practice with this one, well see

I bought this to replace a Columbia EPX that I love. I wanted something that might be as powerful. Wow, it is far more than I expected. I have never swung a ball like this one on medium to heavy oil and have it scream back with authority. I'm very impressed. Only have about 15 games on it and still earning the optimum line, but have found I can easily play 15-17 out to 5-8 and it still gets back just fine. Gave it 8 pins as it is a great heavy oil ball, but as it dries out, it doesn't work nearly as well.

just get it...best storm ball since the trauma series....i shot a 300 with it in my first week in league with the ball...it hits like a monster truck....carries everything with a good fallow through. i threw 2 balls with itin practice and told my wife i was gonna bowl a 300 with it and a week later i did...like i said its a must have... if your a good bowler who can adjust..the ball will work on all lane conditions providing your not playing outside. try diffrent lines out with it.... it will hit from all angles... my low game with it is a 210... it just comes off my hand with ease... gets down the lane in a hurry and never stops hooking<scri

On a scale of 1-10, I would give this ball an 11. This was a gift from a friend of mine who bought it from a local shop last week and he asked me to try it out. I agreed and used it in my league on Wednesday. I also have the Paradigm and Shark, but only used this one and boy did it make me look like a damn genius! First game I shot a 300, second game a 226 and the third a 279. The Passion is truly an outstanding ball. This one has weasled its way into my 4 ball bag and it will stay there for a long time. I tried it out again later that night on a drier lane and it went erratic, but I still squeaked out a 201. If you can find it in a pro shop, pick it up!! It is worth the investment.

The last STORM ball I bought was the CHARGE (still have it but it gets little use). I've read some good things about the recent releases from STORM and thought I'd try one. I was very pleasantly surprised. This ball hits extremely well. I had a difficult time with it on my inital outing but I learned a lot and now have a lot of confidence in the ball. There were some shots where I knew I was too far outside but the ball came SCREAMING back. The ends pins (7-10) are NO PROBLEM with this ball .. it leaves NO PRISONERS! Those interested in the layout .. I'll do the best I can. I'm right handed .. The PIN is about 1/2 inch over the ring finger. cg is 1/2 the distance from fingers to thumb and about two inchs to the right. There is a WEIGHT HOLE. That means NOTHING to me hope it answers questions. A ball I would recommend .. it's a REAL TRUCK!

I have been bowling with this ball for about a month on various conditions. Ball is 15lb, drilled 3.5 x 5 and has the factory finish. This ball takes a little getting used to compared to the original Paradigm. The Paradigm has an outrageous skid and snap while the Passion has a more predictiable arc. That being said, I needed a ball to conquer the very heavy oil conditions that have recently been utilized during my Friday night league. Our lanes are synthetic and this only adds to the frustration. My ball of choice has been the Paradigm, and in medium to medium heavy conditions, the Paradigm will skid and then snap back into the pocket with a devastating hit that produces incredible pin action. Kinetic energy just ripping and tearing accompanied by a very large boom. Where other balls crack the rack, the Paradigm booms the rack. Shrapnel everywhere. However, when the lanes are heavily oiled, the Paradigm becomes a straight ball. It's time for the Passion. With freshly oiled lanes, I

Got mine drilled today by Mike Miller at Ten Pins and More in Rio Rancho, NM. Beore drilling ball was 15lbs. 5 oz. with 3.38 oz of TW and a 2.5" Pin. Ball was drilled 4x4 with a balance hole placed 45 degrees out from the Center of Grip and 6" out(it sits about 3-4" right of my ring finger), and the Pin is 1/2" right of ring finger. Ball is very aggressive on my typical house pattern(38" buffed to 45" synthetic)it is currently about 7 boards stronger then my Original Paradigm(4" pin above fingers and Polished) During the 1st 6 games the ball left a total of 9 solid 9 pin leaves and only a couple of 10 pins. Overall, another excellent ball from Storm, I will post another review later on after the cover tames down a bit or after some coverstock experimenting.

the ball has AMAZING backend reaction. It out hooks anything I've seen in my life. The recovery of the ball can only be discibed as amazing! there`s no way that any ball will ever have more read and more pin action than this, and if a ball ever does, it will be produced by the bowlers company once again. The RAD+ weight block has once again proved to be a very predictable and consistent core. I`ve only thrown it about 2-3 games so I will update in a couple of months. Remember, always bowl up a storm!
