From what I remember, the "PRO" version Storm balls came with a more controllable core, and a more docile, versatile coverstock. With that in mind, I had it drilled for strong midlane, with an arcing backend, which makes it smooth as silk. I fired off a respectable 640 first time out, consistent every game. However, I was playing with a bad ankle, so I lost some of my power. I don't think it hurt my game; it may in fact have helped me with this particular ball, because I don't think I can hurl this one like some of my stronger stuff and be as smooth. So I think this is gonna be my go-to on the short PBA patterns, and late in tourneys when the shot becomes a little dodgy. In the end, I think it will pay for itself. 10 out 10.

I like this ball. I shot a 298 with this ball during my summer league. I was pretty much able to throw this ball all night because it is a versitlie ball. If you are thinking i throw a straight ball i dont. I love to swing the ball. And it always seemed when i would adjust left because the ball is hooking to much that the ball would work from my new position. I tell most of all my friends who bowl to buy this ball. It really is a good ball. The only bad thing is if the heads were dry you would not be able to throw this ball.I wish that storm would put this ball back on the sales rack because it is that good of a ball.

First game with this ball, I rolled a 233 on heavy oiled wood. I was impressed. I start series using this ball depending on lane conditions. It starts getting really aggressive about mid-way through the second game. You definitely need to practice with it, to learn good control on drier lane conditions. Had to really get used to it in order to pick up 10 pins. This might be opposite for a lefty. All in all I think it's an ok ball. It's given me the most strikes in a row i've ever rolled. (nine) Gotta love the ball that does that for you!<scri

Great product. I bought this ball from a friend. This is probably one of the balls that goes best thru any kind of head condition. I polished the ball to 1500 it goes long and recovers well. I do throw around 19.5 mph And it reved up well and still turned pretty hard I do leave a few soild eights with it.Would still throw this ball more often if not for that. plus we have a very wet shot right now.Did I say very wet I mean very very wet.But considering the shot now I have to throw it to slow. <

The Great One
I have this ball also polished, w/my favorite drill layout (see profile) w/the exception of no extra hole. This ball goes longer, snaps harder, and is a great back up to the black thunder. Not sure if i have the "pro" edition or not, the pin on mine is red. Granted, the ball does absolutly nothing on today's heavy oil, when they breakdown, have a fresh backend, or a med oil shot, this ball is in its prime. Switch to mine after my other stuff starts to hook early, this ball has no problems getting threw the heads, getting out, then turning. I really wish storm would bring back the balls from this line. The pleasure has been yours. The great one

Storm, shame on you for ending this ball's life. I still use this ball today, and it's a good one for medium to heavy oil. It has always loved to snap hard at the break point, and if you're rolling the ball well, the pins are dead...so why does the company drop it? Does anyone know if Storm is still making this ball under a new name (Trauma, El Nino, etc.)? Please post if you think so. I know this ball was popular around my area when it came out. Bring this one back to life.
