The UFO is the new HP4 solid from roto grip. It offers the MicroTrax-S20 solid cover with the E.T core. The numbers on this ball are 2.52 RG .054 DIFF and a mass bias of .016. I have mine drilled at 60 X 3.5 X 25 which allows me to move inside and throw 13 to 7. Honestly i was pleasntly surprised in how much the UFO got of the spot. The MicroTrax allows the ball to get down the lane before making a big move towards the pocket. The UFO is comparable to the Gravity Evolve in that the are both high end solid asymmetrics, but the cover of the UFO gets further down lane with a massive backend where the gravity has SPEC cover and Cataylst core which makes it early and smooth. I cant say enough good things about the UFO. if youre looking for a big solid that doesnt hook too early but retains energy this is the ball. Get to your local pro shop and pick one up.

Roto Grip UFO Ball Specs: Cover stock S20 Solid Reactive ET Core (Asymmetrical) Color Purple/Blue/Green Finish 2000 Sanded Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5" Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at cameras 15.5 Review: The Roto Grip UFO is a hook monster! I was sad that the Original Halo was discontinued but I got over it when I rolled the UFO. The UFO has more grip and hook than my Halo and hits like a truck. I strike a lot with this ball. The UFO is also very versatile with layouts and surface changes. For a big Asymmetric you can really dial in the reaction you want as long as you have oil to roll it on. The UFO is currently the strongest ball in my bag. The UFO out hooks my Prime probably because my Prime gives me a hook set reaction where the UFO goes just a bit longer than grabs and just never stops. It creates more entry angle and gets the corners out better than my Prime. The carry percent for me is outstanding. The total hook of this ball is much more than I expected. I can trust this ball to come back from almost anywhere and it is very forgiving. We already sold a good amount of the Roto Grip UFO balls and the feedback has been great. We are seeing a lot of hook and high scores. If you are looking for a strong ball for wet lanes the UFO is a great choice. I am very happy with this ball and demand has been high. Summary: The UFO is very strong and handles oil easily. The hit and carry is superb. The bowlers like the color and look of the UFO. Ball Specs: Roto Grip UFO 2000 MicroTrax-S20™ Solid Reactive Weight Block: E.T. Core = Equalizer Technology™ (Asymmetrical) Color: Deep Purple/Baby Blue/Neon Green Review: The UFO is definitely out of this world on hook potential. We feel this ball has the strongest and most continuous motion down lane we have seen from Roto Grip in some time. You could compare this ball to an earlier and overall more aggressive Storm Gravity Evolve. This ball is going to be great for a lot of different players... Those who have a lower rev rate and are looking for something that doesn't have a problem getting to the pocket and seasoned veterans and tournament bowlers who run into a long or heavy pattern or are just looking to move left and create some area. WOW! I didn't think I have ever seen so much hook in my life, than I did the first time I watched the new UFO go down the lane. The UFO flat out hooks, and it will need to see plenty of oil on the lane. But if hook is what you want, then this ball is what you have been waiting for. Similar to the Halo, the UFO is a big ball that starts up quick and doesn't stop. A very aggressive move off the friction and it just keeps going. I loved my Halo, but one of the things that I had troubles with was that while it was strong, it sometimes got lazy in the oil. What I mean is, you still had to get it to the dry boards, and it hooked plenty, but if got in the oil down the lane too far, it often wasn't quite strong enough to make the corner. This ball is at least 5 boards stronger across the lane. I was able to miss into the big puddle of oil and this ball still was strong enough to get back and go through the pins in the correct motion. This ball will be great on longer patterns or surfaces that are generally slicker than normal. Jason Hollingsworth #StormNation

UFO – Layout 5x4x1.5 PAP – 5 11/16 over and ½ up Style – Stroker Ball Speed – 14-15 mph After watching several videos on-line from multiple styles, I decided to go ahead and order a UFO. Typically, strong cover, asymmetrical balls, don't get a lot of use for me based upon my ball speed and rev rate. While I'm going to need some oil in the fronts, I see this ball being a bit more versatile than the typical heavy oil piece for me. I used the ball at an HPL house I'd been struggling with the last couple times out. My Idol Pro worked for several weeks. But the pattern started to get much tighter from inside and right of 8 showed a pronounced hook. As up the back of the ball as I am and slower ball speed, I couldn't back my hand out of it enough to play the dry. That's where the UFO comes into play. I was able to move inside of second arrow and still get the ball through the pins. Something I hadn't been able to do previously. Even better was the ball allowed me some miss room down lane (into the dry) that wasn't there. Keep in mind if I missed right early, too much ball and going through the nose. But, if I executed the game plan, it gave me a reaction and ability to play a part of the lane I previously couldn't. I can see multiple styles being able to utilize this ball. As always, the caveat is to know when to put it up. It's highly unlikely you're going to get more than 2-3 games out of it during tournament competition. That's when you pull out the cleaner symmetrical pieces and move in anyway. A real heavy house shot, you might be able to get three games out of it depending upon your style and the other bowlers around you.

I was impressed with the UFO almost immediately after throwing it for the first time. My first time throwing it was on the 45ft PBA Dragon pattern. This ball was fantastic and did not disappoint. It was very strong rolling throughout the whole body of the lane but had great continuation which you don't see as much in such strong bowling balls. It gave me a lot of area down lane at the break point which was great for a sport pattern. On the typical house shot, it is great in game 1 if you bowl in an alley that uses enough oil in league. Comparable to the Halo, the UFO is more continuous and can be used a little longer in league or a tournament.

My first impression of this ball was Jesus this ball is strong. One of the strongest balls that I have thrown. It reminds me of my Halo but more continuation through the pins. The strong predictable motion that I get out of it is something that will definitely help with longer higher volume patterns. In the past I have struggled with big asymmetrical balls on your typical house shots. They required me to get to far left to start and even though they read the mids very well once they saw the friction they didn't get through the pins as well as I would have liked. That is something that I haven't really seen with this ball. Even with getting deeper on the lane 4th-5th arrow this ball still has the hitting power to get the 10 out. The layout that I went with for this ball was 4 1/2x3 7/8x3 ¼ and this has given me the strong predictable motion that I am looking for. Here are a few shot of me throwing it on a higher volume house shot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyaXR7rwQAE

Weight: 14 lbs. Pin Length: 4" Drilling: 60x4x65 Pattern Length: 40 ft. Pattern Volume: Medium Pattern Type: House and modified house Right Handed The UFO has the new Micro Trax S20 solid reactive coverstock wrapped around the E.T.(equalizer technology) Core and comes out of the box at 2000 grit, but can be polished. The flare potential on this ball is high. It is a nice Deep Purple/Baby Blue/Neon Green color. I have used the UFO on house patterns and modified house patterns in a variety of houses in local tournaments and league. I drilled my UFO with the pin down, for a different look than my Halo Vision. This ball hooks! It retains plenty of energy coming off the patterns I used it on. It gives me a very strong, but smooth motion with the pin down drilling. Nothing skid/flippy here. This is a great starting ball on heavier oil patterns, or a great ball to go to when experiencing carry down. I also find it gives me help when i need to move in to a fresh part of the lane, when experiencing burn. If you're looking for a strong, starting ball on heavier patterns, or a carry down transitional ball, the UFO will not disappoint. I've also tried hitting it with a little polish and was able to use it on the lighter, league house pattern. Great versatility for such a strong ball! Carol Teel Roto Grip Amateur Staff Member

Talk about a big asymmetrical ball! It is here! The Roto Grip UFO. The UFO features the new E.T. Core with built in cavity to mimic the benefits of a weight hole. With an RG of 2.52, a differential of 0.054 and a PSA of 0.016 this ball will have no shortage of creating motion in the mid-lane and continuation down lane. The biggest thing I notice with this ball, is that for a strong solid, this ball surprising maintains a lot of energy for the backend. As a high track low tilt player, my ball covers a lot of surface area, therefore a lot of solids have a tendency to burn up energy too early for me. This ball has a great amount of continuation for me. When it makes its move left it is on a mission. Even when the lanes start to break down and burn up, this ball still hooks for a solid. The new MicroTrax cover stock is so workable. I have changed surfaces many times with it and it responds immediately to the changes. This is a must have strong ball and possible more than one with different drillings. Mine is currently drilled 45 x 3 3/4" x 25. Look no further if you need that strong ball in your bag!

Roto Grip's newest HP4 line ball comes with a brand new core design and cover. The E.T. Core comes with an RG of 2.52, differential of 0.054 and PSA Differential of 0.016 and the MircoTrax-S20 Solid cover stock. I drilled mine 5 x 5 x 2, and I instantly fell in love with this ball motion. Typically I don't use a lot of Asymmertical solids because they either hook too much or burn up to quickly if I'm not bowling on a longer pattern but with the higher RG in the UFO, I don't really see burn at all. It's about 3-4 longer than the Gravity Evolve with more response down lane but because of the solid cover stock, I am still able to use this ball on the fresh in some cases. This ball will be a staple in my bag on patterns greater than 41 ft as a number 1 or 2 ball in my bag and with USBC's coming up, I can see a lot of these going down the lane.

Bowler Bio Gender: Female Rev Rate: 315 Ball speed: 16.5 mph P.A.P: 4-1/2 & 1-1/8 My first impression of the UFO was simple. Wow this thing took over the strongest ball in my bag and I love it. I found it to be super controllable and continuous down lane for a strong asym. I tend to find that my big asymmetric balls roll out very easy but that's not the case with the UFO. I feel like no matter what rev rate or speed you have this ball will fit everyone's game, I haven't seen it look bad in anyone's hand yet. I compared the UFO with the Halo and found that they were similar but the UFO kept driving through the pins where the Halo came in a little weak. My move was about 4/1 left with the UFO. If you're looking for a strong asymmetric solid that doesn't quit in the back end then you're looking at it. Would be a great ball to replace that old halo with when the new weight hole rule comes into play. Take a look for yourself in my video review below!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKVdHdYyozM

This ball is SUPER STRONG! Probably the strongest ball I have ever thrown. Before this one, my Crux Prime was the top of the line as far as overall strength and hook go. The shape this ball gives is similar to the Gravity Evolve but with more continuation. With the scoop taken out of the weight block on the UFO, it allows so much more energy to be stored as it is revving up, that when it goes left (or right for leftys), it does and hard! The box cover will need a handful of shots thrown on it (just like most grittier balls) before you can see it's full potential in my opinion. Once a small amount of lane oil soaked in, the consistency and control become more evident. This ball is definitely something special! HOOK IN A BOX times a million! :)

The UFO is the newest ball coming from Roto Grip. It features a brand new core with a MicroTrax S20 cover. Out of the box the UFO is EARLY and STRONG. This will no doubt be the strongest ball in your bag. That doesn't necessarily mean its only use will be on heavy oil. Soupy house conditions will favor this ball because it has the potential to blend the wet dry. When you pull it just a little, it retains enough shape to get the weak 7 or 10 out and when you leak it to the outside of your target, it doesn't boomerang off of the friction. I anticipate this will be a great ball for the first game of league. When the lanes begin to transition, you can change to the Halo or Idol which will give you more shape downlane. Rev dominant players and low speed players should be cautious when drilling this piece. It is VERY strong. I cannot say that enough. For the tournament players, this ball will be great on heavy volume patterns and on shorter patterns. Saying that the UFO can be used on both long and short seems contradictory, but it is not. The UFO is strong enough that it will be good on the heavy volume patterns because it will pick up in the oil. At the same time, on short patterns bowling balls that are strong and slow blend out the extreme dry downlane. The UFO will burn up enough on short patterns and will allow you to control the pocket. As compared to other Storm and Roto balls, the UFO is the strongest piece we make. In my opinion It is earlier and slower than a Crux Prime. It is also earlier and slower than a Gravity Evolve. The UFO is similar in shape to an Idol but is about a zone stronger.

The newest addition to the HP4 line in the Roto Grip family the new UFO! This new piece has the MicroTrax-S20 Coverstock which is 2000 Grit Abralon wrapped around the E.T. Core which stands for Equalizer Technology! This UFO is a new monster for heavier lane conditions. My UFO that I drilled is 5 inches away from my pap which is a weaker layout for me but this ball digs through the oil more than any ball I've thrown and doesn't stop hooking. My strongest ball is my Gravity Evolve and for me this hooks about 2-3 boards more and continues more. i was a big fan of the Halo and this is now my new favorite from the Roto Grip family that hooks. Go your local pro shop and get yours for a ball that hooks.

The UFO is a ball you will use to control the fresh and/or open the lane up. Patterns used for review are HP modified. Pattern A: 42Ft, 28.56 Mls, 5:1 ratio Pattern B: 44Ft, 27 Mls, 2:1 ratio Drill: 55X5X35 PLAY The UFO out of box comes 2000 grit and able to read the front/mids and get in motion. For this review I played 3 games on a house modified pattern and a sport compliant pattern. Pattern A: As play started, I gave the ball room to right playing 15 to 5. This ball quickly revved up and read the lane. As I played the ball farther right the UFO got into a quick roll. As play continued, I had to move more inside with the UFO as the 2000 grit became a little over/under. In order to keep the UFO in play I needed to keep it inside the oil line and just inside the early friction right. Pattern B: The UFO for this particular pattern played better when the line remained tighter from the inside or more from the right. Originally, I rolled this ball right after the previous 3 games on pattern A. With the surface having some oil it played cleaned through the front with a little more motion down lane through the mids. I took the surface back to out of box and rolled another game. The UFO started motion early to mid but stayed and held line. NOTE A: The UFO is able to open up a house pattern for lower rev players and allow the stronger release players to get around the rest of the field if they chose to. NOTE B: The UFO is definitely a ball to open up a long sport pattern or stay tight early. LOW DOWN: Early read on the UFO is to keep this for a sport pattern if you're a high rev bowler needed something for the fresh early or when in need to control the inside. On house pattern it was very powerful but a bit too much surface it you are trying to rev it up and already have a strong release. For moderate releases it will be dependent on if your looking for a ball to use for 3 games or to control the fresh or bleed the breakdown. Just depends on your style and needs. I personally would use this ball on sport OB and house with compound finish just to get it down lane a little further.

Looking for the next big asymmetrical in your bag? Look no further than the Roto Grip UFO. The UFO has replaced the original Halo (Solid - Asym) in the HP4 lineup. Discernible differences between the UFO and Halo saw more defined mid-lane motion and shape with the UFO. The UFO still provides that heavy roll as seen with the Halo although with the increased mid-lane potential there is more opening up of the lane with the UFO. The UFO features the new E.T. Core with built in cavity to mimic the benefits of a weight hole. With an RG of 2.52, a differential of 0.054 and a PSA of 0.016 this ball will have no shortage of creating motion in the mid-lane and continuation down lane. Also, the UFO features a new cover (MicroTrax-S20) which is an expansion of the famous MicroTrax technology. This cover will increase traction even in the heaviest of oils. This ball will be a must have for those medium to heavier oil patterns whether there sport or house conditions. Make sure you visit your local Storm VIP Pro Shop to Drill It Up!
