Roto Grip UFO Alert Bowling Ball

Our obsession with helping players of all ages and styles conquer various lane conditions while abiding to forthcoming governing rules, led to the development and creation of the asymmetrical E.T.β„’ Core (Equalizer Technology Core) which features built in cavities in order to increase weight displacement after drilling without a balance hole to increase overall ball motion. Engineered For - Medium to Medium-Heavy Oil Conditions ET CORE E.T.β„’ Core = Equalizer Technology Core. This space aged creation was developed with built in cavities at the base of the inner block to emulate the use on an extra hole depending on how you drill it since balance holes are no longer legal in sanctioned competition. The premise of the lower RG and high differential naturally translates to more flare potential, but, add in these β€œequalizer cavities” and you have yourself built in increased dynamics after drilling.

The UFO Alert features the asymmetric ET or Equalizer Technology core wrapped in the clean and responsive eTrax hybrid coverstock. ET comes in at a 2.52 RG, .054 differential, and .016 split or intermediate differential in 15 pounds, and is quite dynamic. With a little higher RG than is quote unquote typical for asyms, a big differential, and a medium intermediate differential, it wants to get down the lane a bit further than typical asyms and help deliver a big move on the backend. The eTrax hybrid cover helps to further that intent by breezing through the fronts and responding quickly to friction. The overall package is strong enough to handle medium to heavy volumes, it's a little stronger than I expected on paper, but that puts it in prime territory to be a ball down from something like and RST X-1 or Incite, or be the first ball out of the bag for league, and is something you can chase the shot in with all night if you have a higher rev rate, or if you're lower rev rate, it's something that can help you keep your angles more closed and still look like you have more revs than you actually do. I rate the UFO Alert an 8 on hook, a 6 on length, and an 8 on backend strength.

Roto Grip UFO Alert Ball Review by PJ Haggerty The latest addition to the HP4 line at Roto Grip is the UFO Alert. After drilling the original UFO and having success with it, I was excited to see a pearl version being made in the UFO Alert. With an RG of 2.52, differential of .054, and intermediate differential of .016, the Alert is a perfect complement to the entire line. I've been able to go to it after a Proton Physix has done its job and before I need to go to a Rubicon UC2 or Trend. Also, with the new rules regarding weight holes with USBC, the masterminds at Storm and Roto Grip have developed a new core called the Equalizer Technology core. It has built in cavities to emulate the use of a weight hole. This creates more flare and increased dynamics of the ball. I've drilled one so far and love it. It's drilled at 5 ΒΌ x 5 x 70. This puts the pin above in-between my ring and middle finger and the mass bias next to my thumb. I left the surface alone too and the Alert rolls great! Overall, if you need a big cored, hybrid coverstock, asymmetrical ball that allows you to create a ton of angle down lane and put up huge scores, the UFO Alert is the next ball you should drill. It's a home run! Go drill one!

I really feel like Storm is making great high end equipment right now. In years past I threw older stuff such as Locks and Halos. Here recently though, out high end stuff has made me retire those because the new stuff is so dang good. The UFO Alert is part of the GOOD new stuff. The Original UFO was slow and early. It was good on heavy volume stuff and maybe a huge great wall. The new Alert clears the fronts much better and absolutely booms down lane. I drilled this ball with a RICO layout minus the hole and was shocked to see how sideways I could make this ball be. Honestly, you could tell me this ball was a pearl and I'd believe you. For reference, this ball will be stronger and more have more mid lane traction than the RST X2, so there really isn't much overlap. If you like the strength of your UFO but need a cleaner ball for when the UFO is too strong, the UFO Alert is for you!

Roto Grip UFO Alert Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the Roto Grip UFO Alert and In 15 pounds this ball is wrapped in the eTrax Hybrid Reactive Coverstock and comes 1500-grit polished with an RG of 2.52, Diff of .054 and PSA of .016. LOOK OUT!!! It's a UFO Alert! This ball is a sexy gem sitting on the rack but when it is time to do work the UFO Alert never lets down its fans. The E.T. core is designed with cavities in the weight block to mimic the weigh hole that is no longer allowed. I preferred the ball at the factory finish of 1500 polished. Compared to the Storm Dark Code I was able to stand a few boards right to keep the ball online and keep the break point the same. When Schlem said their idea around this ball was to create a modern day of the Hyper Cell Fused, they weren't kidding! Roto Grip is introducing their new asymmetrical hybrid, the UFO Alert! I am so excited for this ball. I was in love with the original UFO and I couldn't wait for the next one in line and this one sure does not disappoint! The same core that we loved in the original UFO wrapped around eTrax Hybrid reactive coverstock. Compared to the original, you're going to see the UFO Alert a lot cleaner and sharper off of the spot. Because it is a hybrid coverstock, it is 2 part pearl and one part solid, which gives the player that extra length and flip in the back end on a variety of patterns. For me, this ball is best on medium to heavy oil patterns when I am making the first transition from my big solid asymmetrical balls. The UFO Alert gives me plenty of length and flip moving across the lane and this ball sends pins flying! Pick up one at your local Storm VIP Pro Shop!

Don't sleep on this ball!!!! Perfect blend of core and cover. Strong but not early. Angular without being snappy. This will find it's way even almost every tournament players bag this season.

The newest addition in the HP4 Line from Roto Grip is the brand new UFO Alert! This ball features the e-Trax hybrid reactive Coverstock wrapped around the E.T. Core which was previously seen in the original UFO! This UFO Alert will take the place of the previous Nuclear Cell as the shiny ball in the HP4 line! My UFO Alert I have drilled is pin over my ring finger with the mass his right next to my thumb so it's a little more stacked than normal for me! What I really like about this ball so far throwing it how clean it is through the front part of the lane reads the body of the lane very well but with that Hybrid Coverstock it's very controllable for a shinier ball! The UFO Alert will come into play on the medium-heavier lane conditions when the lanes are hooking a little bit and the UFO or Rubicon is to early this will give you that clean strong controllable motion!! Head over to your local pro shop 6/18/21 and get yours!

Roto Grips newest release in the HP4 line featuring the ET Core, which was in the UFO, paired with the E-Trax hybrid cover. This ball is perfectly compliments the original UFO. When the UFO starts to burn up and read early, you can pull out the UFO Alert and play the same part of the lane. This ball clears the fronts so well, very strong in the miRead more about review stating Roto Grip UFO Alertd-lane, and strong on the back end. With as strong as this ball is in the mid lane, it does not lose anything on the end, making the carry fantastic. This ball is very similar for me as the Idol Pearl, but is slightly stronger in the mid-lane, with a bit smoother on the end. What was great about this ball, the further left I moved, it did not lose any hitting power. I feel this is a very versatile ball and can be used with many angles to the pocket. Drilling: Pin thru the ring finger and kicked the MB 2 inches right Dual Angle: 45 X 3 X 30 I really like the originally UFO, so I figured this ball was going to be really good as well, especially with it being a hybrid - and I was correct. I already can tell this is going to be a staple in my bag, and will be a go to ball for myself. I've been able to throw this ball on everything that I've bowled. My UFO Alert is a very strong motion. but between the cover and core, it's not too early nor is it too angular. I see it blend the pattern to perfection, and I truly believe everyone should have this piece in their bag.

UFO Alert. Asymmetrical Hybrid from Roto Grip and man this thing does not disappoint. I decided to drill it how my Hyper Cell Fused was drilled and lets just say that the UFO Alert is STRONG!! I can see myself using this piece on heavier oil patterns with some surface or when the lanes are super tight and the asymmetrical solids are not in play anymore. This ball is no joke, lots of backend and pin carry!

The UFO Alert gives you exactly what you need once your solid asymmetric balls are burning up too much energy. In my ball review, I was able to stay further right than with most shiny cover bowling balls. The Alert is smooth through the midlane and because of its controlled motion, won't force you too far left too early. When I did start to move left, the clean cover responded well to the friction and still got back to the pocket with ease. The versatility from the right and further inside is my biggest take away from throwing it my first two days. This ball can be used from multiple angles and it looked great doing so. I'm excited to throw this ball more in tournaments and while bowling league this summer. Roto Grips newest HP4 line ball features the ET Core, wrapped around the hybrid eTrax cover. I drilled mine 5 x 3 x 4.5 and after throwing this ball for a while I was quite impressed on how smooth it was. This cover is also featured on the Idol Synergy but slightly different because this is two parts pearl one part solid instead of the 50/50 blend found on the Synergy. The UFO Alert really allows me to blend the lane out when they are really wet/dry and doesn't over react when I miss towards the gutter. I will probably knock the shine slightly off mine to utilize it more as a fresh ball but I can see myself using this ball for entire blocks because of the cover/core combination.

The UFO Alert is the 2nd release in the HP4 line with the ET Core along with the E-Trax Hybrid coverstock. I drilled mine with a 55 x 5 x 45 drilling which is the same drilling I have on the RST X-1. Comparative to the two, the UFO Alert is cleaner while still maintaining the more continuous shape on the backend. The Alert also gives a little more angularity as well so it is a very good compliment to the RST X-1. Comparing the Alert with the UFO, there is a definite more defined difference in the backend. Since the two balls share the same core, the midlane roll is very similar but the two coverstocks make the biggest difference. The UFO Alert is again cleaner while still giving a smoother reaction in the midlane. The Alert is a great step down from either the UFO or the RST X-1. Compared to the Nuclear Cell, the Alert will be earlier rolling and slightly smoother in the backend due to the hybrid coverstock. Adam Chase Storm Staff

The original UFO was one of the strongest asymmetrical solids to date. The UFO Alert features the same ET core although this time matched with the E-Trax hybrid cover to prevent reading and grabbing the front part of the lane. With the pearl and polish elements the ball will get through the initial part of the lane without burning up and provide plenty of motion down lane. The hybrid nature of the ball allows it to be more controllable at the break point. This ball is a great step down off the original UFO or any stronger solids, asymmetrical or symmetrical. Also, if the lanes are hooking to early the UFO Alert would be a great ball to begin with.
