Layout: 4.5 x 70 Surface: 3000 Abralon The hyped solid brings back the hyped core with the VTC solid coverstock found on the Hustle Camo. Comparative to the Hyped Hybrid and Pearl, this one will give a lot more traction in the oil and give you the same downlane shape that the hyped series is known for. I was able to test this ball on both a typical house shot as well as a 37' Sport Pattern. 37' Sport Pattern Review On the 37' Sport Pattern, I was aiming to hit between 5 and 8 at the breakpoint. The hyped solid allowed me to be more up the lane for my style then typically solid covers let me do. This actually played more to my A game keeping the ball in front of me when the pattern was demanding. As the lanes broke down, I was able to move left with my feet and still saw the same continuation down lane. I did have to keep my ball speed soft to see the correct motion though. For longer and heavier oil patterns, I can still see this ball really good for the fresh if you can get the surface of the ball to match up correctly. I would bring the surface down closer to 1000 to see stronger overall ball motion. Typical House Short Review As I expected, the hyped solid was great when the lanes were fresh. It gave me strong but smoother motion playing around 13 to 5. It blended the lane well when I missed left or when I got the ball right early. When I had to start moving deeper on the lane, the reaction became a little too smooth giving trouble getting the 10 pin out. A change in hand position to be more on the side of the ball helped and I was able to still strike for longer. As I started getting to around 20 at the arrows with my target, the carry started to suffer a little more basically as expected. I would typically use this ball/shape for fresh medium house conditions when control is necessary. Where more oil is on the lanes, bringing the surface lower will help the ball read the lanes better. A pin up drilling would also help in using it more left to right for a right hander. Adam Chase Strom Staff

Balls Specs Hyped Solid Coverstock: 3000 VTC Solid Core: Hyped Core Color: Wine/Berry/Magenta Review: First, I want to point out the color of this ball. The colors on this ball really stand out greatly on the lanes. Secondly, I want to say that once again this ball outperforms it's price point. It has plenty of teeth to be first out of the bag when coming in for league while not being overly strong when the lanes begin to transition. This ball motion is very smooth rolling and offering a great arcing motion. This ball has already shown its versatility to me and I will continue to keep it in my bag for a long time. Make sure you grab your soon, you're going to kick yourself later if you don't! Will Tefft Roto Grip Staff Member will@parklanes.net www.rotogrip.com #SquadRG

The Hyped line from Roto Grip has been sneaky good in my opinion since they have been out. I was super impressed with the Hyped Hybrid last year, it was probably the best ball for its price point and the Hyped Pearl was pretty good was well. Now that we have the Hyped Solid we can see them handle a little more oil. I drilled mine 5.5 x 5 x 5 because I actually wanted to use this ball in league to help me later in the night when the lanes start to get a little cliffed. After throwing this ball it defiantly does what I intended it to do. Got down the lane with ease because of the pin down drilling but because of the solid cover stock didn't overreact in the dry. I can totally see if this ball was drilled pin up and a little stronger it would be a lot closer to what I saw in the Hyped Hybrid but just a little smoother. If you are looking for a ball for league or some medium to short sport pattern look no farther than the Hyped Solid !

Hyped Solid – WWRD 8/19/2022 Roto Grip's new Hyped Solid is a Solid Symmetrical piece that is good for Medium lane conditions. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Drilled it with the Pin above the Bridge and the CG kicked out 1 ½". It starts up in the mid lane with a smooth continuous backend. I compared this to the Hustle USA and this was earlier and smoother on the backend. Good piece to start a block to get the smooth motion on the backend.

The Hyped Solid features the VTC Solid coverstock at a 3000 grit finish, and the Hyped core at a 2.52 RG, and a .036 differential in 15 pounds. As it shares the same coverstock, the Hyped Solid is very reminiscent of the Hustle Camo, however the extra strength out of the core gives it a stronger roll overall. It has the same clean, but rolly and round shape throughout the lane. The Hyped Solid's most notable feature is the calm and consistent roll, it doesn't seem to really rev up at any point and take off, nor does it kind of lope down the lane. It hits the lane and has a very stable and continuous roll, but doesn't necessarily roll strong or heavily, it allows you to control the overall reaction and is constantly ready to do what you want it to. It's medium strength, not quite as strong or early as the IQ Tour Solid, but close enough to almost be a sideways compliment because it does handle angle better. It shares more in common with the Hyped Pearl than it does with the Hybrid, though the Pearl is longer and a couple boards weaker, they have a similar roll. The Hybrid is earlier and heavier rolling with more of an arc shape, but they're all of a similar strength. The Hyped Solid is not quite a full ball up from the Hustles, Burners, and Electrify Pearl, and not quite a full ball down from an IQ Tour Solid, but is a "solid" compliment to them all.

The Hyped Solid is the newest ball in the HP2 line for Roto Grip. This ball is going to be a step above the hustles and burners but a step below the idols and Wolverine dark moss. What I found with this ball is its going to be a smooth shape and be similar to an IQ Tour based on the diff. This ball is going to give me moderate length and a smooth transition off the spot. If you have a heavier hand or slower ball speed this is going to be a good ball to through on house shots and medium light patterns. This ball is a great bang for your buck whether you are somewhat new to bowling or an experienced league bowler. Alex Thomes #StormNation #StrikingWorldwide #SquadRG #Driven2Bowl

Roto Grip Hyped Solid Ball Review by Ric McCormick
The new benchmark shape from Roto Grip is the Hyped Solid! This ball features the VTC Solid Coverstock wrapped around the Hyped Core! This will give you the perfect motion throughout the whole lane! My Hyped Solid is drilled Pin Down under my bridge and gives me a smooth motion for the fresh lane conditions hard or easier to keep you in play! The Hyped Pearl and Hybrid are both great but at times maybe to much downlane where this Hyped Solid will give you that smooth motion to calm down the backend!
