Ball Specs: Roto Grip Hustle RAP Cover: 1500 Polished VTC-P20™ Pearl Reactive Weight Block: Hustle™ Core (Symmetrical) Color: Royal/Aqua/Purple Review: Another hit from the Hustle line. The bang for your buck is outstanding for any of the Roto Grip Hustle bowling balls. The RAP reads tremendously, and that Hustle core really carries through the pins with force. This ball not only looks amazing but would be a great fit for the down and in style of play for the beginning bowler. The tournament players who are used to the Hustle line can expect predictability late in a block, or a trusted starter piece for those very dry conditions. The RAP would also be a good complimentary piece to the PBR, allowing to stay to the right part of the lane. Overall, we feel the RAP, along with the PBR are great pieces to the Hustle line and can really work for any budget or style of play. Out of the box, I noticed one thing, this Hustle is DIFFERENT. There are some pearl balls that are slightly smoother on the back end and they allow you to play right of the solid balls. Likewise, there are some balls that boomerrang so much downlane, they force you left of the solid balls in order to try to stabilize the reaction. The Hustle RAP is in the latter category. While filming the video, I missed the move several times because I couldn't comprehend how strong the RAP is downlane. This ball will be good for the last game of league when the track is burnt or at the end of a long tournament block. You can utilize this piece when there is a hook spot and all you want to do is throw your ball to that spot and watch the pins fly. Like the PBR, the Hustle RAP feels stronger than the Hustles in the past. It could easily fit into the HP2 line. In terms of specific players that would like this ball, I think the players with the heavy hand and heavy end over end roll will love this piece. For those players, the RAP is angular enough that it won't miss the spot downlane like some pearls can do and it will continue through the pins hard. This ball will boomerang for the heavy handed players and it goes without saying that it will boomerang for players like me who twirl it more!

The Hustle RAP is a new hybrid cover stock in the Hustle line. I drilled mine 5.5 x 5 x 3 and this ball is super clean and angular. It's about 5 boards less than the Hustle PBR. This is going to be a ball I used later in league or later in tournaments when the front part of the lane starts to hook.
