Nu-Line is proud to announce the Nu-Line Virus. The Virus utilizes inner shell technology to lower the Radius of Gyration resulting in more revolutions off your hand. The dual flip blocks allow the .044 differential to be utilized in all weight. The addition of Supernova to our Mica Tak coverstock increases gripping contact with the lane. All these elements in one package equals one thing - Performance!
The Virus boasts inner shell technology that lowers the radius of gyration. The result is more revs off your hand on various lane conditions. The ball's MicaTak coverstock gets an additional boost from a Supernova casing that grips the lane.

This is my first new ball and my first venture away from Brunswick. I have it drilled pattern 2 (3 3/8 x 5) and it delivers a consistent hook over the second arrow. This ball hits the pins very well and if you go brooklyn it has a good chance for strikes. I have not used this ball much since I bought it at the end of the season, but I will be using it on a regular basis when league starts in the fall. Of the dozen or so games so far, it is a very good ball.

This is a 16 pound ball that started with 3.75 ounces of top weight and a 1.75 inch pin. I had it drilled with the pin next to the ring finger and the cg kicked out an inch or so. A medium sized weight hole was placed near PAP to make the statics legal. The ball ended with .75 ounces of side and finger weight. This is about a 4 x 2.5 drilling for me. The ball gets good length and is all arc. Very easy to control and the hit is also very good. The ball has the typical polished reactive look. It skids on oil and hooks on dry. When the shot permits its use, this ball will give you a great look on the lane due to its predictable mid lane behavior and good hit. The cover is a beautiful purple sparkle, but it likes to stay polished. Don't assume you can dull it for earlier hook in oil. It will return to its polished state very quickly. I like this ball a lot, but I'm still not sure how often I can use it. I'll update this review if I end up putting a lot of games on the ball.

I love this ball i sanded it to 1000 grit and it is working real good bowled a 300 2 days ago. every strike that was on the right side was perfect i yanked a few but it still slammed the pocket. Nothing bad i can say about this ball right now. I bought it used for 30 dollars and i recommend to a beginner. you still need to be consistent with hitting your mark so i guess you need some experience. It is a good ball to have in your bag on medium to heavy oil. dry conditions do not support this ball it rolls out early on 1000 grit.

The Nu-Line Virus is simply a great bowling ball. I purchased mine at a discount, because the ball was not a tremendous seller, but after throwing it I have no idea why. The ball reacted perfectly on a variety of lane conditions that included medium oil, med. to light oil, and a reverse block. I was able to play several different lines to the pocket and have incredible pin carry with all of them. If you can find a Nu-Line Virus anywhere, buy it immediately. You will be glad you did. I have nothing else to say that is why I am writing this to get 100 words.

My overall review is that the Virus is a very good ball, and it is the first ball out the bag. The leveraged drilling allows me to play from 15 to 5 on fresh oil with clean back ends. I've been able to score well with the Virus, normally in singles tournaments or trio leagues because the oil does not carry down as quickly. However, after one to two games in five-man team competition, it has to go back in the bag for something that will finish in the carry-down oil. In my opinion, the Virus is a very good ball, but lacks the versatility of other balls. It earns an "8" out of 10 pins.<scrip
