The new Villain™ Scorn is just plain vicious. This asymmetric pearl turns heads and turns sideways on the back of the lane! Engineered for medium-heavy oil, it offers powerful core dynamics and the latest innovation in angular cover technology from MOTIV®. The Sinister™ weight block at the core provides the Villain™ Scorn with a higher RG to propel the angular cover down the lane and retain energy. It also features a higher differential to yield massive track flare for enhanced ball motion. And, as many have experienced with the original Villain, the asymmetric Sinister design offers great drilling versatility. Tuned with a 5000 Grit LSP finish, the pearl Villain™ Scorn features the latest Hexion™ SE Reactive cover technology. This Strength Enhanced (SE) Hexion™ shell provides great length with a fast and deliberate response to friction at the backend of the lane.

In most hero adventures, the villain of the story is always a formidable adversary and most will call for the villain's defeat. There are those select few who aren't on the hero's side, those who praise the villain. These same people, especially MOTIV, also know the truth as to what is to follow is initially defeated... or believe to have been beaten. The villain is left feeling they were made a mockery of.... Left scorned... which makes a villain that much more dangerous! A Villain Scorn is something that is not easily trifled with and MOTIV has embraced this very belief. The Villain Scorn kicks it up a notch as it builds on the newly created Villain line. The Scorn takes drilling versatility that was seen in the original Villain and introduces a new level of angularity and strong track flare. We already see impressive down lane angle and energy retention with the Sinister core, but now the Scorn pairs this core with the latest Hexion SE Reactive cover stock. This cover stock gives the Scorn enhanced length with a very fast response to friction down lane. Since the inception of the Villain and revival of the Sinister core, I have been one happy camper as this core was amount my top 3 favorites from MOTIV. To see MOTIV to continue to expand on what can be done with this core just adds to my excitement. The Villain Scorn has been well received with my initial impression of the ball. As you have seen in my previous reviews, I tend to lean more toward PIN down drillings in my equipment as I prefer the smoother, more predictable ball reactions. My Villain Scorn is no different with this approach and it is an excellent pairing. I can see angularity from the Scorn but with the pin down drilling, it manages to smooth it out with the earlier roll but there is no loss in continuation down lane. Although it has such a strong ball motion, with my drilling paired with the Scorn, I see a clean reaction from the front part all the way to the back part of the lane. This type of reaction makes the Scorn a perfect go-to when the original Villain starts reading the pattern to early and I start losing carry due to the shape I'm trying to create down lane. The clean reaction, although it reads the lane on the earlier side, it is still able to clear the front part of the lane and give me the ball motion I like. The Villain Scorn features the Sinister core found on the original Villain, and comes with the Hexion SE pearl cover. I have mine drilled with the pin above the fingers and left it at box finish (5000 Grit LSP). Review: For me, the Villain Scorn is pretty smooth. I used my VSP as a control ball and I moved about 3 and 1 in off my VSP line. The Scorn reads the lanes much sooner than the VSP, but total board coverage I have them fairly close. I compared the Scorn to my Rogue Blade as well that I have at 2000 grit. I played them right on top of each other and noticed the Scorn got the corner pins out and had more drive going through the pins. I moved another 3 and 1 in off the Scorn line and was able to carry better with the Blade. I see this ball coming into play when I need a pearl without getting too much over under. For me, it's a perfect ball down from my Rogue Blade and allows me to play a similar part of the lane. Adam Yoshii MOTIV Bowling and Vise Inserts Staff Member Just Bowling Pro Shop

The Villain Scorn comes as the perfect complement to the original Villain and a perfect fit in any bowlers arsenal. The Scorn takes the amazing Sinister Core and applies a form of the Hexion Pearl coverstock to give you an asymmetrical ball that combines length with a strong downlane angular motion. This ball fits in to the current Motiv line by falling as a ball down to your Jackal Rising and Trident Abyss for when the lanes start to transition and want to see the ball get through the middle part of the lane better. The Scorn offers more angle down lane than I have been able to see out of anything that I have thrown recently and allows me to really step left and never worry about this ball bouncing off of the dry. I would recommend this ball for any house pattern that is out there and for any of the medium length and long sport patterns that you would run in to. Pick this one up and you're sure to become the new Villain at the bracket table! Cody Shoemaker Motiv Staff Member

Villain Scorn Coverstock: Hexion Strength Enhanced Reactive Core:Sinister (Asymmetric) Surface:5000 LSP Layout:70 x 2 x 15 The Villain Scorn is the newest form of weaponry from Motiv Bowling that features the pearlized Hexion SE Reactive cover that rolls out of the box at a 5000 grit LSP finish, the asymmetrical Sinister core that was featured in the original Villain is the very engine that powers this ball to a strong and angular motion on medium to heavy oil conditions. It is meant to fit underneath your Trident Abyss and the original Villain should either of the two become too much for the desired condition, although the Villain Scorn possesses an angular motion I would like to point out that it can still handle heavy oil out of box relatively well. Using the Hydra, Venom Cobra, and Venom Shock Pearl as a comparison the Villain Scorn offers both overall hook and backend reaction, comparing the it to the original Villain Scorn's pearl coverstock doesn't make it over skid in the oil but instead provides reasonable traction like the original. Villain Scorn's skid/angularity keeps it from having as much total hook as the original Villain however I still saw plenty of it on heavier patterns, however it does provide more entry angle and overall backend motion than the original. Much like the Villain the Villain Scorn provides continuation and control at the breakpoint, the Villain allowed me to play straighter closing my angles to the pocket with no worry about continuation through the pin deck and Villain Scorn allows me to open up both the lane and my angles. In my bag it fits well underneath Trident Abyss as the middle ball in front of my Venom Shock Pearl. Hell hath no fury like a Villain Scorn. Your game will thank you for it K.C. Layout: 65 x 4 ¼ x 55, pin in ring finger Prepare to cause some mayhem with the MOTIV Villain Scorn. Marrying the new Hexion SE Reactive coverstock (5000 LSP) with the Sinister core (2.54RG, .051Diff, .018InterDiff) has further enhanced the MOTIV lineup with a ball that cuts through medium-heavy volumes while still retaining a quick response time once friction is found. I drilled mine with the intention of being able to use it on fresher conditions, especially volumes you will find in typical house shots. Leaving the finely-dull box finish, this ball gives me good traction at the beginning of my sets yet still revs quite quickly once it gets to the backend. By having a strong pearl wrapped around a longer-tumbling core, I can play more open angles out of the gate rather than keeping things closed to start; I am seeing a bit more room for forgiveness because of this. So far in my testing with it I have found my terminus, launch angle wise, to be around 30 board for my lay down crossing the arrows at 21. While the Scorn still gets back to the pocket, at this point the Rogue Blade's energy retention is better and will allow for greater carrying opportunity. For being a pearl-type reaction, the control I feel with it is more akin to a solid; it is extremely predictable even with having a quick-response backend. If you have a Villain, the Scorn perfectly complements it as a cleaner, faster transition piece to continue the feel of your line deeper onto the lane. Overall, I would say that this is a great piece if you want backend pop for the heavier conditions that usually require earlier rolling equipment. The Villain Scorn will be a staple in my bag for quite the time to come. Trent Overbey In the Zone Pro Shop MOTIV Staff www.motivbowling.com

Ball Layout - 25x4.5x40 Test Pattern – THS Bowler Specs - 16mph, 425 rev rate, low track The new Villain Scorn is a great addition to the original Villain. What I immediately saw with its reaction is the amount of recovery it has compared to the original. Not only can I open up my angles with it, the motion downlane is unlike any others in the current line. By far the Villain Scorn, is the most angular Assymetric ball I have had my hands on. When comparing to the other symmetric pearls, i.e. Primal Rage LE or the Lethal Paranoia, I am able to jump further left and project it further into the dry to create an angular shape that the others were not able to. After adding a touch of surface, the amount of area it can create improves drastically. Although it slows the response just a little, the carry percentage does not decrease with a possibility of getting even better. What I love about the Villain Scorn is that you do not have to backdown at all with it. For me, the more aggressive I attack the lanes with it, the better results will show itself. By Bryan Ramsey From Phillipsburg, NJ About Me Motiv Staff Motivs new downlane monster Motiv's new downlane monster is something that every bowler is going to want. The hexion cover wrapped around the sinister asymmetric core gives this ball so much punch downlane it's ridiculous. Personally I picked one up for my house shot on Wednesday nights which happens to be on older wood lanes. This scorn comes off the outside dry extremely harder than anything else ive seen to this point. I've had countless questions about the ball to this point. Another absolute monster make from motiv that every bowler needs to have in there hands.

This ball is the newest introduction into the Villain line of MOTIV bowling balls. The MOTIV Villain Scorn features the combination of the Hexion SE (strength enhanced) Reactive cover stock and the Sinister asymmetric core. This ball offers the versatility of the original Villain, with that extra pop down lane we're all always looking for. Most importantly, it features the continuation through the pins that MOTIV balls are becoming known for. It will be a great fit in your bag on medium oil. The Villain Scorn will become that ball you can count on when the fronts start to go and you need to open up the lane a little. The Villain Scorn will provide great length with a fast and deliberate response to the friction at the backend of the lane. This ball features enhanced motion, due to it's higher differential that yields massive track flare. My Villain Scorn is laid out pin down (below my bridge), the cg shifted to the right (no extra hole). This ball has already found a place in my bag and drives through the pins with easy from what seems like any angle. If you are looking for a ball to retain energy, will make the corner with you open up your angles, has continuation and awesome hitting power. Look no further, you've found it. MOTIV VILLIAN SCORN With the SINISTER CORE and the HEXION SE COVER at 5000lsp you CANNOT go wrong with this ball. I added a touch of polish to get a little more length from the box finish. It consistently hits the spot and turns the corner with power. And if your like me you tug 1 or 2 it will hold and still crush the pocket. This is a ball to have multiples of. Review: The Villain Scorn is the latest release from MOTIV Bowling. This medium-heavy oil asymmetric pearl well definitely turn heads with the powerful, sideways motion down lane. The Villain Scorn brings back the Sinister weight block that gives the Scorn its angular motion down lane. We paired that with the latest Hexion cover stock technology the Hexion SE Reactive that provides fast response to friction. You want something that hooks and have angular motion down lane then the Villain Scorn is the ball for you. Weight Block Sinister Cover Stock Hexion SE Reactive Finish 5000 LSP Comments: The OG Villain was my favorite ball this past season because I love the versatility it gave me on all conditions and still use still today. When the Scorn got announced, I was chopping at the bits to put some holes in it because I knew how good the OG Villain was, there was still something missing that I needed from it and I knew the Scorn will provide it. What I love about the Scorn is I love the length I get from it, especially when the lanes dried up, I feel I have the confidence that the Scorn will still come back the deeper I get. I love how much backend this ball has, that shape with my roll is always a good thing. Higher rev players will love this piece because I feel on fresh you can keep your angles straighter without starting too deep and just gradually move in as lanes transition. Medium to lower rev players will love the Scorn because I the length this piece gets when lanes start to break down around the track area. I recommend the Villain Scorn to all types of bowlers. Motiv Villain Scorn Hexion SE Pearl Reactive 5000 Grit LSP Asymmetric Sinister Core Layout 55 x 5 x 40 Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 4-3/4 Over 1/4 Up Rev Rate 250. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed off hand 18 Review: I was very happy to see another Villain released by Motiv. With the new coming balance hole rules I think I will be leaning on Asymmetric balls more and more. Motiv has put a Hexion Pearl cover on a Sinister core and finished it to 5000. The goal was to create a ball with easy length and flip on medium to heavy patterns. The look of the ball in person is much better than pictures I have seen on line. Just like the last Villain we have seen many layouts used with great success. The Villain Scorn was surprisingly clean through the front part of the lane but when it came off the pattern it married very well to the friction. I did not see a sideways move as predicted but rather a strong drive off the spot. For me this motion is better because it is more forgiving and predictable. The Villain Scorn will be replacing my Quest in the bag because I feel it gives me better carry and versatility. It is kind of hard to say where this ball fits because it has a different shape than my other balls. I would have to put it between the Rogue Blade and Original Villain. So far this ball has worked great in one of the centers where they put down a thicker house shot. The Villain Scorn can easily be scuffed to create an earlier read of the lane. For a Pearl, the Scorn is very versatile on different patterns. The Villain Scorn's carry is very good, probably due to the entry angle it creates. Light hits seem to splash around and fall quickly. I think Motiv has added a nice Asymmetric piece to the Villain line. As long as I can find a bit of friction I will see what this ball can do. Summary: The Villain Scorn adds a nice new shape to the Motiv line. This ball is smooth through the front with strong backend. The look, name and colors get the Scorn a lot of attention. If you liked the Quest I believe the Scorn is a nice upgrade. This ball is also a compliment to the original Villain. Glenn Wendel PBA Member Motiv Staff Turbo Staff www.motivbowlng.com

Motiv's newest release is here and the Villain Scorn will certainly impress as the pearl asymmetric ball you have been looking for! The Sinister core provides you with a higher RG helping the angular Hexion SE coverstock get down the lane to really turn the corner towards the pins. The Villain Scorn is engineered for medium-heavy oil and fits the big over/under house shots or when the fronts start to dry out but you still need power and a fast response on the back of the lanes. This is just one of those instant favorite in my bag, you will want to pick one of these up at your local Pro Shop today! Steve Haas, Motiv Staff https://youtu.be/QOzk09xkezs
