Core: Halogen V2 Symmetric Type: Symmetric Coverstock: Turmoil™ XP Pearl Reactive Box Finish: 5500 Grit LSS Layout: 45 x 4 ½ x 70 Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltlNdiuZF7s Top Thrill (noun): 1. Developed as a dry lane complement to the Infusion™ reactive cover, the Turmoil XP shell provides as much down lane shape with less traction in the oil to allow for use on dry lanes. 2. Possesses the Halogen V2 that is uniquely suited for dry lanes, having a strong enough core to allow for more angles of play and significantly more versatility. Strengths Smooth ball motion upon encountering friction. Halogen V2 has enough muscle for steeper lane play angels. Weaknesses Although Top Thrill does have a Turmoil coverstock it is not Turmoil MFS that is on Venom Shock, Turmoil XP Pearl Reactive is not meant to combat heavier patterns. Overall Summary Top Thrill is a weapon designed for novice bowlers and tournament bowlers wanting to play small ball on drier conditions or broken transition patterns, in most cases I end up using Top Thrill in later games or if I encounter friction early. In terms of ball motion Top Thrill is different from Thrill as it doesn't hockey stick down lane, instead the shape is round and even. Considering what Top Thrill is designed for I don't typically use it on the fresh, however when I do I am right of target and Top Thrill floats until it encounters friction. The reaction is controlled and predictable and I consider that a plus for my rev rate and how I play the lanes. Top Thrill is far from overkill when you encounter high friction patterns. I promise it is worth your time. Your game will Thank you. K.C. White II Motiv Staff IAMBowling Staff

Top Thrill Ball Review - The new Top Thrills offer an amazing ball motion at an entry level price point. I've liked the past Thrills but the Top thrills take the cake. With the newer pearl cover stock wrapped around the Halogen core, the Top Thrills are great for higher friction houses or patterns. I ended up drilling both color variations with two different layouts. I used a earlier layout on one (85x4.5x75) and a cleaner on the other (65x5.5x60). The earlier layout is great for straighter angles when I need to cut down the backend motion and other pieces are just to big while the cleaner layout lets me get left and really open up the lanes with a cleaner angular motion. Check out the Top Thrills if you're looking for something great at that entry level price point! Motiv Staffer Sean Mackie

For beginner bowlers and tournament players looking for something weaker, the Motiv Top Thrill is the way to go. There is nothing entry level about the performance you get out of the Top Thrill. I have mine drilled "Rico" and hit it with a 3K pad by hand. What I wanted out of this ball was something I could use in the friction and be smooth of the spot. For me this is a perfect ball for later in the block or even game 3 of league in most centers. My center for league has a lot of friction outside and I was able to use the Top Thrill all night and it only got better throughout the night. In comparison to some other balls in the lineup, I am about 6 boards right off my Supra Enzo, and about 8 boards right off my Venom Shock. If you're looking for a ball to move right with, this is the one for you. Adam Yoshii Motiv Bowling Staff

The Top Thrill is a light oil ball that does what a light oil ball should do, get down the lane when there is lots of friction. But most light oil balls then react too violently when they find friction and really create too much of that hockey stick shape. This ball features the Halogen V2 Symmetric core with the Turmoil XP Pearl Reactive helping this ball dig in a little more and create that awesome shape through the pins we all want in a high performance ball! Make sure you you get one of these must have balls in your bag!

Layout 45 x 5 ½" x 35 Showcasing dry lane performance at a 'top' level, the new Top Thrill is an enhanced, all-new technology successor to the original Thrill. Needing a lighter-oil compliment to the Infusion technology, the new Turmoil XP coverstock (finished at 5500 LSP) was created to produce exceptional length with good response to friction to play those 'burnt' conditions. To further enhance this ball's motion, the Halogen V2 core (2.59 RG, .023 Diff) was developed to provide control and predictability for all the downlane motion. Knowing that my Fatal Venom, with a 5" pin, can go late into a block, I laid my Top Thrill out with a 5 ½" pin to create even more length for when I encounter those exceptionally scorched patterns. The motion I get out of this ball is exactly what I was looking for in a drier lane piece. Gliding down the lane looks like an effortless task for this Thrill, seemingly floating through the thinner parts of oil to get to the right and the carved-out track. Once the friction is found, the motion the ball makes towards the pocket is controlled and predictable. By having a clean but controlled ball reaction later in day, the pocket is much easier to find and those crazy 'designer' leaves become much less frequent. Given what the Top Thrill is designed for, it is not meant for fresh shots or even the first transition out-of-box for all but the most rev-dominant of players. So far I have found this rock shining its brightest when I get beyond game five in any given block, and usually even that point may be a bit early. Clean projection, predictability, and consistency; those are what the Top Thrill brings to your arsenal for those critical late games when you need a true friction buster.
