The Tank Blitz is the second entry into the MOTIV Microcell Polymer coverstock line, following the Covert Tank. The Tank Blitz is a phenomenal ball for when there's a decent amount of oil up front and you need an ultra smooth and predictable ball. It's like a super strong urethane ball, except it actually hooks a bunch on the backend and doesn't carry down the oil and destroy the oil pattern like urethanes do. Best of both worlds! It's definitely a reaction shape that you don't see on the market today, and the unique look can give you an advantage over others. Definitely check it out. This Tank Blitz is amazing. It is about an arrow stronger than the Covert Tank for me. I used my normal pin above the bridge layout that I always try on a bowling ball. It blends patterns so well that it isn't even fair to not have one in the bag. This ball reads the lane fairly early but does not quit downlane. It can be drilled to roll similar to urethane but also can be drilled to roll like a lot of reactive balls. It provides a very predictable shape, and will be the first ball out of my bag on every pattern. David Hooper Jr, Motiv Staff

The layout I used on the Tank Blitz is 60x3x40. This bowling ball is something special! The hype is REAL!! I drilled a shorter pin to PAP to enhance the smoothness of this ball. This ball will be going everywhere with me. Comparing this ball to the Covert Tank, the Blitz is overall a stronger ball. It is earlier and more continuous to its counterpart. The Tank Blitz is a very versatile piece that can be drilled to favor urethane reaction or drilled to roll just like most reactive balls. You do NOT want to miss out on this ball!

This ball is the next stage of Microcell Polymer Technology created by MOTIV. The Tank Blitz was created following the overwhelming response and competitive success on the Covert Tank. It features the new Frixion + Microcell Polymer cover stock in combination with the Gear core, made famous by the Venom Shock. To complement the intent of Frixion+ cover stock, a low RG engine was needed and the Gear core was the clear choice. With a lower differential, the Tank Blitz is capable of low flare layouts and produces a stronger, more traditional urethane shape, but with far better continuation. It will be a great fit in your bag on medium oil, but I have found it useful on both lower and higher volume patterns as well. The solid red Tank Blitz with its 2000 Grit LSS finish provides a new shape for competitive bowlers and also gives average bowlers a very early and smooth option for medium oil conditions and has great continue through the pin deck. My Tank Blitz is laid out pin up (above and slightly right of my ring finger), the cg is lined up stacked below it (no extra hole). This ball has already found a place in my bag and has given me a shape on the lanes that I have never seen before. If you are looking for that go to ball that is stronger than urethane, but has a urethane shape backend reaction, but with way more continuation and unbelievable hitting power. Look no further, you've found it. Craig Auerbach MOTIV Staff Member Florida

The Motiv Tank Blitz is the second ball to feature the Microcell Polymer cover, and comes wrapped around the Gear core that was used on the Venom Shock. Putting these two together creates what I think would be a great option for a benchmark ball. The Covert Tank was a go to when the lanes started to break down and I was looking for that urethane look, so I was really excited to drill up the Blitz. For me, the Blitz is about 5 boards stronger than both my Covert Tank and Supra. It reads the lanes sooner than both, but doesn't give up in the backend. When compared to my current benchmark ball, the Venom Recoil, the Blitz is about 2 boards weaker. This would be a great ball for leagues and tournaments when you want to stay closer to the track when your other balls are too strong. The Tank Blitz is the newest in Microcell Polymer technology, combined with Frixion coverstock and the fan favorite Gear core from the Venom Shock. I have a deep love for the Venom Shock. I have 2. My love for the Venom line includes a Venom Shock Pearl, Venom Recoil, and previously a Venom Panic which was my first Motiv ball. I am more than happy to add this to that group. The Tank Blitz has a gigantic spot to fill in my bag. Previously I had just a Tank Rampage and a Covert Tank to cover my need to get up the lane. As many know when it comes to urethane, sometimes you can't quite turn that corner and need to ball up. My ball up to the Covert Tank sometimes was just too much ball. This ball has filled that slot, and powerfully. The Tank Blitz has become my go-to on league night; it is the first ball out of the bag. I've grown to love playing up the lane and starting my night off not needing to worry about hitting up on a urethane or staying flat behind a stronger ball. This past week, I showed up a bit late to league and had to bowl fresh out of the cold with no practice. I broke out the Tank Blitz and started with 18 in a row, leading to a 825 series. The ball is just that good and trustworthy for me. It has easily earned a spot into my league night 3-ball roller along with my Venom Recoil and my Rogue Assassin. The spot it filled was previously the Covert Tank. If you want a ball that can give you that early lane read, a soft reaction, and the ability to not skid like urethane may at times... Here it is! What are you waiting for?

The Motiv Tank Blitz is easily my favorite Motiv ball of all time. The updated Frixion+ Microcell Polymer cover has an increased oil absorption rate compared to the original Covert Tank. This mixed with the addition of the Gear core makes this ball pretty unbeatable on medium lanes with crisp backends (85% of house shots anyone?). I have my Blitz and Covert drilled identical and the difference is about 5-6 boards overall, with the Blitz being about a foot sooner. These newest Tank does need considerable more oil in the front to keep it from "rolling out" or "hook set." But when you have the oil, it continues like no other ball I have come across. Do yourself a favor and try the Tank Blitz. I assure you it is well worth the mid-range price tag! Elliott Askey Motiv Staff

The all new Tank Bllitz comes with the Gear core and a newer version of the Frixion + microcell polymer. It comes with a 2,000 LSS finish. This ball reads the lanes early. I can't say anything bad about this ball. When other balls are carrying down lane a little too long and not carrying, this ball reads the lane in the right part of the lane and rolls into the pocket allowing for better carry. This ball has a quick read in the middle of the lane, but once the initial move is made, it stays very continuous and smooth the rest of the way. This ball rarely over reacts, but will if you are getting too much dry. This is one of my favorites right now in the lineup. Kye Shipley MOTIV STAFF MEMBER

I threw this ball for the first time this week and I have never been more impressed by a ball. Motiv hit a home run and they are at the top of the industry with the development of the Microcell polymer cover stock. The Tank Blitz has an enhanced version of the Frixion cover from the Covert Tank creating a stronger version. The Frixion+ has a very smooth shape without an over response to friction. Throughout league night my moves were minimal and the carry is awesome. The way it reads the mid lane makes it very predictable and easy to control. Let me make this clear, this ball is not urathane! It absorbs oil at a faster rate so it does not create carry down like traditional urathane, but it has a similar shape which is a definite plus over urathane. As the night went on, I never lost continuation or hitting power as I moved deeper on the lane. Bottom line, this ball is a must have. Whether you bowl league or tournaments, it offers a motion that is different from anything on the market.

Layout 65 x 5" x 35 The next step in the Microcell Polymer evolution has come screaming out of the gates with the new Tank Blitz. Using the building blocks from the Covert Tank, MOTIV boosted the oil absorption rate of the Frixion coverstock to create more traction in heavier volumes of oil. By wrapping this beefed-up cover, Frixion+ finished at 2000LSS, around the time-honored Gear core (2.48RG, .034Diff), a strong and continuous motion has been created that keeps amazing hitting power at angles that are far beyond what some resin balls are even capable of. Not knowing exactly how strong the Blitz was going to be (spoiler alert, it's ripped!), I put a 5" pin to PAP distance so that I would have some versatility in how I could attack the lanes through multiple patterns, making surface adjustments when needed to tweak the reaction. On the typical house shot I bowl on, I usually start at 15 and cross at 12 with my Forge Fire. When I first threw the Blitz, it took me five shots to finally hit the head pin on the 'correct' side; this ball was hooking early and often from places my Forge Fire was still skidding through! Initially I was timid about that reaction as typically with stronger equipment energy will bleed rapidly if you try to cover too many boards with your launch angle. It did not take long, however, for me to see that Microcell Polymer is a game changer in this category. The way the Blitz reads the midlane yet still retains energy on fresh and transition is something I have not seen in any piece before. When others are struggling with the first transition and are looking into switching to weaker shells, I can continue moving left and throw this ball where they cannot. This reaction and shape allows me to carve out my own line beyond what they have so that when the time comes to jump down in strength, usually a full game after everyone else has, I have set myself up to keep striking. Only when I get to angles that are typically meant for pearl covers do I start to see a labored reaction. The fact that it takes extreme angles or heavy up-front burn before I consider putting this ball away is a testament to the versatility this provides. Don't be fooled by anyone saying the Tank Blitz is a 'urethane' ball. While its reaction is controlled and ultra-reliable, its strength is far beyond many 'reactive' balls on the market today. When stronger resin equipment starts plaquing corner pins due to energy loss, this ball still drives through to the pit with a vengeance. I truly do believe that the Frixion coverstock technology is a leap forward in improved ball reaction for today's game, and the Tank Blitz expands that motion into a heavier volume. Prepare to be armed and dangerous on the lanes! Trent Overbey In the Zone Pro Shop MOTIV Staff www.motivbowling.com

Motiv continues to push the envelope with cover stock technology. Frixion™+ Microcell Polymer is the latest installment of this unique cover. Paired with the proven Gear core from the very successful venom shock it should be good, right? This IS NOT Urethane and, in my experience, does not roll exactly like urethane. However, it does allow a player to use the same part of the lane with moderate volume. It reads the fronts as heavy as any ball in the Motiv lineup, without sacrificing hitting power and drive through the pins. Plus, I can use it for three games without seeing any carry down or destroying the lane for others. I see it being more useful on tougher patterns or a super cliffed house shot with decent volume. By Bryan Ramsey From Phillipsburg, NJ About Me Motiv Regional Staff ALL OUT BLITZ I have to start out by saying I've never been a huge fan of throwing urethane. This new BLITZ by MOTIV bowling is quickly changing my mind. The new FRIXION Microcell cover paired with the trusty Gear core from everyone's favorite Venom Shock is such a sick combo from MOTIV. So far I've used this on a lighter, flatter pattern, right away I notice it has a smoother stronger reaction with better continuation through the deck compared to the Covert. I really look for this new Motiv piece to quickly become a popular choice for a ton of bowlers across the board. Motiv keeps raising the bar in bowling equipment, best in the business. This ball is something special! It is smooth off the spot, it digs in the mid lane and continues through the pins. The Blitz will give you a controllable motion no matter where you put it on the lanes. It is predictable, and reliable. Review: The Tank Blitz is one of the latest releases from the MOTIV Bowling product line. With uniqueness and very popular release of the Covert Tank, MOTIV brings you the Tank Blitz that is the next stage of the Microcell Polymer technology. The Tank Blitz brings together the new Frixion Microcell Polymer Cover Stock along with the Gear Core that was found in the Venom Shock. This dual gives the Tank Blitz a stronger, smoother shape as well as a better continuation through the pins compared to the Covert Tank. Also with the new Microcell Technology, the Tank Blitz will have a better absorption rate of oil so you don't have to worry about messing up the shot. If you loved the Covert Tank, then the Tank Blitz will be another favorite in your bag. Weight Block Gear Cover Stock Frixion Microcell Polymer Finish 2000 Grit LSS Comments: I have never been a fan of throwing Urethane. I have never been comfortable throwing it nor never had no interest in having that shape in my bag but that all changed with the Covert Tank. The Microcell Polymer technology I feel gives us an advantage over any other company in that Urethane line because we can be a little more versatile without destroying the lane. The Tank Blitz could be pound for pound the strongest bowling ball I have ever owned. The early, smooth shape that the Tank Blitz gives me I feel I can throw this piece on higher volume and have success. Higher rev players will like this piece just as a previous stated. Medium to lower rev players will love the Blitz because when on more volume or transition has pushed the oil you will have no problem throwing this piece in your comfort zone and have success Likes: Early and smooth down lane motion; continuous through the pins. Dislikes: None I recommend this bowling ball for all types of bowlers MOTIV Staff Player, John Robertson www.motivbowling.com
