Definitely the strongest ball in my arsenal. I have been able to use it on 41' + of oil without any trouble. In fact, at times it would be so strong that I would have to open my angles on what would normally be tight patterns. I have mine with the pin down because this is my first ball to go in Long patterns. Then, I could transition to my Venom Shock, Trident Quest, or the Villain depending on how the lanes are transitioning. Sandro Perrino MOTIV Staff - International

The Ghost Jackal has unbelievable continuation for a ball of its strength. The backend motion is very predictable. I noticed how much quicker I had to be in making adjustments due to how quickly the Ghost Jackal's cover transitioned the middle of the lane. With the moves I had to make, the Ghost Jackal does not lose energy hitting the pins. The Ghost Jackal is an amazing piece. The cover plays a big role with this. For when lanes get tighter downlane, on flatter conditions, and when the fronts are flooded, the Ghost Jackal's versatility will help combat any and all of those conditions. The backend shape is impressively predictable and controlled. This is one that always has a spot in my bag. Darryl Carreon MOTIV Staff / Bowlifi / PBA Member

This ball is the newest introduction into the Jackal line of bowling balls. The MOTIV Jackal Ghost features the Coercion HFS Solid Reactive coverstock combined with the Predator V2 core. It's strong in the front of the lane, but yet is clean and smooth enough through it that the ball does not burn up. It reads the mid lane for change of direction and yet somehow retains its energy for the most continuation that I've ever seen from a BIG ball. It will be a great fit in your bag on medium to heavy oil. I have the used Ghost on everything from high to medium volume sports patterns, as well as on your typical house shots. It's strong and continuous enough to handle the sports patterns and blends out the house patterns like nothing I've ever thrown. My Jackal Ghost is laid out pin down below my ringer finger, CG slightly shifted right and extra hole down. Since this ball's release it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. This ball allows me to play up the lane on fresh or heavy oil and as the fronts start to go away has no problem allowing me to move left, open angles and it returns with tremendous continuation. Again, for BIG ball I have found it to be more versatile and continuous then I could have ever imagined. Craig Auerbach MOTIV Staff Member Florida

Jackal Ghost For me the Jackal line has been very interesting. Some were very good and some not so good. My tilt and axis rotation is such that the ball pushes through the oil without much resistance so heavy oil was always something I struggled with. Over time I have learned how to stay more behind the ball and truly roll the ball which in turn help the ball to read more in the oil and has for the most part helped me to tame the heavier oil patterns. This is great with the exception that it takes me a bit away for my sweet spot and the comfort of just throwing it! I have been in search of a ball that would allow me to stay more up the side of it but still read for me in the oil. The Jackal Ghost became that ball. Because of its massive track flair, stronger back end and continuation the ghost allows me to stay within my game and feel confident that I can get in the oil and still control the pocket. This ball is idea for low rev or speed dominant players and will not disappoint. If you are looking for that heavy oil ball that will react where and when you need it to this is the ball for you! GHOST The Jackal Ghost, the newest Asymmetrical release from Motiv. I was excited to see the changes in the ball core/cover combo. As with this being an Asym, I had to make sure of the drilling to be able to get the most out of this ball. Given that I am rev dominant and have a lower tilt, I consulted with Jason Poli on choosing a layout. The lay out we came up with was 70 X 5' X 45. The hopes for the layout was to delay the start of the core and not have nearly as much flare. So the question is did all of the preparation work? The answer to the question is YES! As I drilled the Original Carnage, I drilled it stronger and had lots of hook stop motion and very little continuation through the pins. What I have found thus far with the Ghost is the opposite. The Ghost allows for me to use the ball in the puddle. I have been able to open up my angles through the front part of the lane and toss the ball to the spot. The Ghost doesn't over read the dry and when I use the shim to the left the larger pin to pap has allowed me the miss room left. With any strong Asym, the Ghost does need Oil. The benefit with the Asym core and this cover is it allows me to start a little deeper on the fresh and stay away from the traffic on heavier oiled patterns. So as this all goes, If someone is looking for a ball for heavy oil or a heavy puddle house pattern I would suggest trying the Ghost. The Core and Cover match really well, blending the lane out. The ghost will allow you to start inside the puddle toss it to the dry and maintain the continuation through the pins. The Ghost will have no issues telling you when it is time to transition away from it and place it in the bag as well. This is another wonderful piece in the long line from Motiv. That's right... A devastating blow was thrown at MOTIV March 2015 when the decision was made by USBC to revoke the approval of the monsters that were the Jackal and Jackal Carnage. Such a decision has been known to be demise of many... But people thought the monster was slain... the monster was no more, but they couldn't be more mistaken. The monster laid dormant, changing, evolving... lying in wait for when it may return and spread its terror once more. And so the beast has returned, the Jackal Ghost! Do not allow the name fool you. You make thing that the Ghost is simply a phantom of its former self, but that will prove to be a fatal mistake on those who stand in this piece's path. A legend such as the Jackal does not die, it simply evolves as seen with the Ghost. The Ghost introduces both a new core in the Predator V2 asymmetric and cover stock in the Coercion HFS (High Friction Solid). This deadly combination will give the Ghost's master the ability to fight through heavy oil conditions providing superior mid-lane reaction and the MOTIV's trademark continuation. This ball, with this new technology, in fact provides us with even more over hook than any previous Jackal and yet, we don't sacrifice the ball continuation on those heavier oil patterns. It is absolutely true what has been said, #LegendsNeverDie! With the Jackal Ghost. I know some did not have the opportunity to fully experience the capabilities the Jackal and Jackal Carnage presented. Some unfortunately missed out on the chance entirely. The void was there, it could not be denied but MOTIV heard you, heard US. Not only was the void filled, the Ghost delivers so much more than what was lost. I knew it from the first set I threw with the Ghost how great of a piece it is. Straight out of the box, I rolled an 814 series. The Ghost, with this stronger engine and aggressive cover, it allowed me to open up the lanes early on a FRESH house pattern. This core and cover combination allows for good angle to be given but yet, it is very rare that the ball will not generate great pin action when it does not give you the dead-flush hit. To take it a step further, I can firm up the ball speed, square up even and yet the Ghost can still turn the corner, rarely overthrown and thrown through the breakpoint (unless you're trying to do it of course!). Just this past week, in my Thursday night league, a second shift league mind you, I rolled a 300 right out of the gate. The surprising part of shooting this 300 was the fact that rather than opening up the lane second shift, I actually had to square up and migrate left (I'm left-handed!). There was actually a few shots during the game that, the Ghost read the mid-lane perfectly, but yet there was some unseen carry down caused it to labor down lane. Despite this fact, thanks to the heavier core, the pin action was there to carry those light hits.

Layout: 90 x 4 x 40 Heroes get remembered, but Legends Never Die. The Jackal Ghost brings back the spirit of the original Jackal line using new technology to deliver the same performance. The Predator V2 core (2.47RG, .054Diff), wrapped in the all new Coercion HFS Solid coverstock (finished at 3000LSS), delivers the same continuation of the original Predator and hits the pit just as hard as well. I put the same layout on the Ghost as I did the original Jackal to give myself a good comparison and I have not been disappointed in the new versus the old. Since this new Coercion is much stronger I see the ball read the mids extremely strongly (I have come close to flaring the entire ball when I have to get on it) yet I see no hesitation when it comes to changing direction towards the pocket. So far I have found this to be an easy 3-2 to 5-3 more than my Trident of similar layout; both box finish. Though I get the best results when I am a bit more square, the ability of this ball to open up surprises me as I can swing it almost like it is a medium volume piece of equipment without the fear of it bleeding too much energy and finishing weak. What impresses me the most, though, is that the continuation is astounding. Once the Ghost decides to go left it just keeps going; a ball that cuts through heavier oils rarely flirts with leaving as many 9-pins as I have. Do note, however, that this is a heavy oil beast so I usually have to put it away by the end of game one in league (a medium oil shot at best). So long as you remember to stay in this hunter's natural habit, enjoy unleashing this deadly beast that has risen from the dead, the Jackal Ghost. Jackal Ghost | #Legendsneverdie Description: The Jackal Ghost is the third "official" Jackal of the series. It has an all new coverstock, Coercion HFS Solid. The inside utilizes a modified asymmetrical Predator Core that was found in the original Jackal and Jackal Carnage, now called the Predator V2 (Also found in the Jackal LE). Reaction: I tend to really like asymmetrical pieces, especially with solid covers, with that said the Jackal Ghost has become the strongest ball in my bag. My first layout 60X4.5X60 (Pin down, no hole) at the box finish is strong in the front and middle part of the lane with a smoother arcing motion down lane. For me I can see this ball at this surface being utilized more on tougher patterns and actually opening them up a little when they are flatter without sacrificing carry. Although I don't always make surface changes in my initial testing, I did with the Jackal Ghost. Initial testing was on a heavier house pattern and had no trouble playing deeper and carry was better than expected. I took the Jackal Ghost to the spinner and threw some MOTIV Gloss on it. It allowed me to move a solid arrow right and allowed me to have a lot of hold and also have a lot of bounce and never over hooked with the surface adjustment. It has since become my favorite ball on house patterns. It's a ball I know that will hook and that I can be firm and confident with. Comparisons: Everything else in my bag hooks less than the Jackal Ghost. The Jackal LE is close in terms of hook potential but still falls 2-3 boards short. The Jackal LE also responds a little faster down lane. The Trident is about 3-4 boards less in total hook, but once again responds faster down lane. The Jackal Ghost provides no overlap and is a great addition to bowlers looking for HOOK. Summary: This ball WILL force you left of everything you have. It will allow you to still control the lane and provide a great motion through the pins resulting in very good carry. Between the Jackal Ghost, Jackal LE and Trident MOTIV really does have all the variations needed in asymmetrical balls. Even more than most releases this ball performed very well with the surface change I made (MOTIV Gloss). Review: The legend has been resurrected. The Jackal Ghost is the latest from MOTIV Bowling that will bring fear to oil and the pins. The Predator V2 core that was first introduced in the Jackal LE is a low RG with lots of diff and will give the bowler lots and lots of track flare. Paring this core is the new Coercion HFS or High Friction Solid cover stock. This is by far the most aggressive cover stock that MOTIV has ever produced. This gives the Jackal Ghost great mid lane and continuation through the pins that make you go wow. Truly the Jackal Ghost continues the legacy the originals first started and does answers the question legends never die. INNER CORE Predator V2 COVER STOCK Coercion HFS Solid FINISH 3000 Grit LSS Comments: I have to say this is the best Jackal I have ever thrown. The shape the Ghost gives me is something that I have not seen in any of the previous Jackals. This is the first one that I feel comfortable enough to throw bout on house and sport. The shape I get is unbelievable, I feel like the more I move left, the harder the Jackal comes back and still has the hitting power to go 10 back. The Ghost reads the mid lane well and with the high track flare, the continuation is something I have never seen in an asymmetrical. High rev players will love the Jackal Ghost on house and sport patters and as the same for lower rev players if they need something to get down lane on higher volumes. I recommend the Jackal Ghost to all types of bowlers. MOTIV Staff Player, John Robertson www.motivbowling.com

Ball Specs: Motiv Jackal Ghost HFS – High Friction Solid 3000 Grit LSS Asymmetric Core Layout 25 x 4-7/8 x 40 Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 4-3/4 Over 1/4 Up Rev Rate 250. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed off hand 18 Review: The new Motiv Jackal Ghost is the biggest hooking ball in the Motiv line. The Ghost is a welcome addition for those who could not get an L.E. or wanted something a little stronger than the Trident. I have tested this ball on a variety of conditions and if there is oil you will not be disappointed. I was very curious how the Ghost would stack up against the Trident and Jackal L.E. so to the lanes we went! All of these balls had virtually the same layout and I sanded them all with a fresh 3000 pad so we could be as fair as possible. All of these Very aggressive balls by Motiv where great on oil, but I did see some differences. I have a lower rev rate and high ball speed and the shot was a heavy oiled, modified house pattern. The Ghost was definitely the strongest of the three. It had early read but when the Ghost started to hook it did not quit. I feel the Ghost hit harder than the other balls I tested. The trident rolled a lot like the Ghost for me, but was a touch weaker all the way around. The Jackal L.E. was the least hooking of the group and even though it went a bit longer it did not recover like the Ghost or Trident did on the test pattern. I have ordered another Motiv Ghost and plan on drilling it weak and adding polish but I have not tried that yet. I am sure you could sand the Ghost to a rougher grit for more hook, but that would be for extreme oil! The High Friction solid cover is very aggressive. The V2 core is a great match to this cover. If you are looking for a great ball to cross boards, or bowl on heavy oil conditions the Jackal Ghost will be a great choice. The Ghost has already created much excitement for me and at my shop. Summary: The Ghost Features new big hook solid cover. This is a great choice for oil. The Ghost rolls heavy and does not stop hooking. If you like the Jackal line you will love this ball! The Jackal Ghost is here and I'm very excited to talk about this ball's performance. It delivers more total hook potential than any previous Jackal with no loss of continuation. The Ghost is an asymmetric low RG ball which features the Predator V2 core with the Coercion HFS (High Friction Solid) cover stock. All this allows the Ghost to easily rev up and create massive track flare potential. The Ghost will be your choice to combat higher volume and longer patterns without sacrificing continuation. Obviously, low rev bowlers and speed dominate players will also benefit from throwing the Ghost, this ball is scary good! YouTube: https://youtu.be/e9kotHrB_Dc Steve Haas MOTIV Staff

DESCRIPTION INNER CORE - Predator V2™ COVERSTOCK - Coercion™ HFS Solid Reactive FINISH - 3000 LSS RG RATING - 2.47 (15 lbs) RG DIFFERENTIAL - 0.54 (15 lbs) MB DIFFERENTIAL - 0.15 FLARE POTENTIAL - 7"+ REACTION The all new Jackal Ghost is the most aggressive asymmetrical ball Motiv has ever produced. The Ghost is designed for heavy oil and has an early motion. The Coercion HFS cover digs into heavy oil and provides the hook you are looking for on the heaviest of oil conditions. What I personally found to be impressive about this ball is the way it goes through the pins. Earlier rolling asymmetrical balls are usually forward off the spot which results in a shallower entry angle. The Jackal Ghost keeps coming around which will allow you to play outside on heavy oil, but still carry from steeper angles when moving in. VIDEO https://youtu.be/-F1-_IIgYDE COMPARISONS In my video I compared the Jackal Ghost to the Jackal LE and Havoc (pin up), and the Trident and Forza GT (pin down). Given the fact the Ghost sits atop the hook potential chart, it obviously displayed more overall hook than the rest of the equipment I compared it to. What I found interesting was just how well the Ghost went through the pins playing that far in on the lane. As you can see when compared to the Jackal LE, It reads earlier, hooks more, but is still continuous off the spot to get out the corner pins due to energy retention. The same goes for the Trident which gets much further down lane before starting to hook. The way the Havoc rolls would be comparable to the Jackal Carnage. It is forward off the spot and excels when playing shallow angles. The Forza GT, while having a shape that is the most similar out of the bunch, doesn't have an aggressive enough cover or core to recover from where the Ghost is striking from. SUMMARY The Jackal Ghost has been a surprise for a multitude of reasons. I know with every new release you'll see "most hooking" and things of that nature, but as you can see in the video, it is a good 4-5 boards stronger than the Trident and even the Jackal LE. It is strong, early, yet somehow continuous. We now have two very distinctive motions with the asymmetrical balls in our current lineup (Jackal Ghost, Trident), and three if you are fortunate enough to have a Jackal LE. As with all of our releases at Motiv, everything is tested to have a place in our current lineup without rolling like our other stuff. The Ghost is strong and early, the Jackal LE has more length with more of a mid lane read, and the Trident is much more angular than both. If you are a bowler who likes to play up the lanes and you are looking for something with a little more bite than the Revolt Havoc, The Jackal Ghost will fill those needs. If you loved the Trident but felt sometimes you just needed a little more ball, this Jackal Ghost is a ball for you. This ball has so much hook that it is practically unfair for the competition. Best used on medium to heavy lane conditions, the Ghost is so strong in the midlane but has such great continuation, you would never think this was a high performance ball. The core on this ball is the Predator V2 core which is found in the Jackal LE. The Coercion HFS Solid Reactive coverstock is new technology from Motiv and certainly shows how well their R&D department really is. This ball can handle the heaviest of oils and compliments the Trident so well. This ball is a great addition to any arsenal! Adam Chase Motiv Staff
