I love Motiv equipment and this ball just makes me love Motiv even more! This ball is a great tool to have when the oil starts to break down and you want to keep your line. I absolutely love this ball. It has a beautiful down lane motion. This ball is a sleeper of ball! I wasn't expecting it to come back as hard as it does, but it hits super hard and just keeps on driving and doesn't stop. But i really love how long this ball is and how it comes off the spot. I recommend this ball to everyone.

Ball Specs: Motiv Tag Polished Reactive 5500 Agility MXR Ball Specs: Halogen Symmetric Core Layout 55 x 4.5 x 40 Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5 Over 1/4 up Rev Rate 250. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed off hand 18 Review: The New Motiv Tag is super clean through the front with a strong flip when it encounters friction. The Tag provides a reaction that I have been wanting for a while now. This “like some other Motiv offerings” is a new animal. If I had to pigeon hole this ball I would say it hooks less than the Rage but much more than the Apex. I know this is a large gap but the Tag is just that versatile. The Tag will hook quite a bit when it hits the dry and for me is the most angular ball Motiv has. I would rate it stronger than the Motiv Ball Guide on a house shot. We have drilled a good bit of Tags now and the carry percent is fantastic, most likely due to the increased entry angle. The Tag carries well when playing deeper lines and does not seem to have weak corner pin issues. The only time we struggled with the Tag was on a flat heavy oil pattern. The Tag just was a little too long. No worries, Motiv has a ton of balls for that pattern. I let a few thumb less and high rev bowlers try my Tag and the result was just unfair. They cleared the heads with ease and the backend was nothing less than explosive! These bowlers got easy length with a devastating hit. I think high medium and high rev bowlers will have a winner with the Tag. If you like to play deeper lines this is your ball. Motiv technology and innovation is just exploding and the new use of chemicals in the cover stocks have given Motiv the ability to be on the cutting edge of ball motion. I have some tournaments coming up and you can bet I will have a “Tag in the Bag.” Summary: The Tag provides easy length with a very angular backend. This is a great choice when playing inside lines. The higher entry angle creates great pin carry. The Tag pushes cover stock technology again. Glenn Wendel PBA Member Motiv Staff Turbo Staff gwendel@comcast.net www.motivbowling.com

Rev Rate:420 Axis Tilt:20 Axis Rotation: 45 Ball Speed:17 PAP Measurements: 4 1/8 Description: The Graffiti Tag is the latest artistic piece of art that Motiv has to offer, wrapped in the new Agility™ MXR shell and Halogen core the Tag will allow you to play in the burn and bounce off a dry spot deep at the backend of the lane. Out of box surface: 5500 Grit LSS Layout: 60/4/30 Ball Reaction Using the same layout that was in my Apex Ascent I got a totally different ball reaction, the Tag was both longer and sharper than the Apex. I have run into situations when the Apex did not bounce off the ditch down lane when I was playing straighter angles, the Tag fulfills that need. I use the Tag when it is time to retreat right or there is enough friction that I can circle the lane with it. Comparisons Apex Ascent: The Tag and the Apex Ascent are both angular pieces, the Tag is the stronger between the two as it possesses a bigger backend reaction and has more overall hook. The Tag is also the sharper of the two; however you will roughly get the same amount of length out of the two. Depending on what type of friction I see determines which one I use, if I want to control the breakpoint I’m going with the Apex Ascent. If I want to bounce the ball of the friction into the break point, I’m using the Tag. Venom Panic: The Panic is not as lengthy as the Tag nor is it as angular, overall you would see more hook out of the Panic than you would out of the Tag. In terms of backend reaction the Tag is the stronger of the two, through my own eyes the Tag just has a stronger continuation through the pins. I believe it’s due to the Tag being so sharp. Tribal Fire: The Tribal Fire is earlier up front doing the majority of its damage in the midlane, The Tag does not possess as much hook as the Tribal Fire but it does provider a bigger reaction in the backend. In terms of length and angularity the Tag is the longer and more angular of the two. Summary: Motiv constantly continues to further carve its name into the industry of bowling with the building of phenomenal weaponry, what I like about the Tag is the various angles the bowler can play with it and the Halogen weight block. As I mentioned before this is a ball that has no issues of down lane recovery when I’m playing direct, those that bowl in later tournament blocks or start out with early burn in league play will see how well this ball get down lane practically ignoring the friction. Out of box the tag is best suited for high friction areas; however I did test this ball on both medium and heavy patterns. On high volumes of oil I played rather direct and lowered my ball speed to allow the ball time to roll over, minimal success as a 5500 cover is not meant for heavy volumes in my opinion. On medium patterns I had a greater success rate, as the Tag thrives off friction once it was located the ball did as I desired. I feel that the Tag is a ball that will fit all styles of play, my advice to you is to pick one up. Indulge your inner Graffiti Artist. Your game will thank you for it. K.C.White II Motiv Staff

I have had the Tag for a Month and thrown this on a variety of lane patterns. The Tag has been a wonderful addition to the Motiv family. There have been times in the past where the stronger pearls just wont hit, the Panic and Vengeance come to mind. When these balls just won't hit as I chase the pattern left. The tag has no issues when I stand left and use the spot down lane as the continuation through the pins is truly great. This ball truly shines on the burn or later in long blocks. If you are in search of a ball for later in the day this is definitely the ball. Clayton Mohr Motiv Staff

I absolutely love my Tag on the lane conditions I tend to see the most back home. Very wet/dry. I either go straight and hard outside of 10 or get in deep between 3rd and 4th arrow swinging out to 5. This Tag lets me do both. It doesn't hydroplane in the oil from deep inside. I never worry about the ball recovering. It gets to the break point and just takes over. Continuation through the pins is great. The ball is so much value for the price point it is in. I personally feel that it rivals some upper mid performance balls! I ended up hitting mine with a 2000 grit pad just to break the shine a bit. I can see the Tag getting a lot of play later on in a block on tougher patterns. You won't have to worry about getting this one through the front. Get it to the hook spot down lane and free wheel. I have my Tag drilled 50 x 5 x 30 with no extra hole. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjI4b7_cvf4 Darren Andretta MOTIV Staff Vise Inserts Staff www.motivbowling.com

Just when I thought I had found the perfect light oil ball with a bit of a bite in the backend with the Tribal Fire, MOTIV just had to go ahead and turn me into a liar. For once however, I am very happy to say that I was a liar! In honor of MOTIV reaching its 50th release, I am happy to present to you on behalf of MOTIV, the Graffiti Tag. To pay homage to the ball that started it all for MOTIV, the SX1, MOTIV has gone with a bit of a retro look with the simplistic Black and Green color scheme. This color scheme may look very familiar to those who have been with MOTIV from the very beginning. Don’t let these colors fool you, this ball is a true monster waiting to be unleased. With the introduction of the new Agility MXR cover stock, the Tag will leave you speechless at its response to friction down lane. Pair this cover with the proven Halogen core as seen in the Tribal and Tribal Fire, this ball has no difficulty getting down lane and reinforce the sharp backend once it reaches the spot. To say I was impressed with the Graffiti Tag when I began to throw it would be an understatement! I’ll be honest folks, When I drilled this piece up, I was expecting into be similar to the Tribal Fire, maybe a little more giddy-up in the back part of the lane given the core inside. When I threw that first shot with it however, playing the very same line and standing position I would with a Fire, my jaw just dropped. I watched this ball make it down lane without much effort, but in the blink of an eye, at about 40 feet, this ball turned to the pocket with very, VERY bad intentions. The ball proceeded to hit high-flush, so high that I had almost left an 8-10 (I am left-handed mind you), luckily the 10 fell out late but still left me with the 8 pin standing with no other pin in site. As I said above, do not let this ball fool you, although it says ‘Light Oil’, this is a very versatile piece with its ability to get down lane, retain energy and response to friction with no hesitation. I have been able to keep everything tight and simply play up the boards when the lanes were on the fresher/heavier side when it came to oil. On the other side of the coin however, I have had just as easy of a time opening up the lanes by moving right and swinging left with the Tag with confidence in snapping out corners when this ball hits the pocket. I actually have a second one on the way as we speak I am so pleased with this ball (I am not normally one to double up on bowling equipment). My Initial Tag was drilled with one of my all-time favorite drillings the PIN placed right below the bridge of my fingers and the CG kicked out slightly. Listen, if you’re looking for a good piece that will offer great flexibility and endurance both for League play as well as tournament, the Tag is the way to go. You will be surprised with what you will accomplish with the Graffiti Tag. So what are you waiting for? Go out and ‘LEAVE YOUR MARK’! This ball is extremely clean through the front of the lane and continuous off the spot. I used my normal drilling for most symmetrical balls (60 x 5x 40). It really is an impressive piece in the angular line of Motiv balls. To me the ball just doesn’t see the front 30-40 feet of the lane and then creates impressive entry angle down lane. Once your typical house shot starts to break down this ball will allow you to move left and open up your angle. When I compare it to the Venom Panic, which is drilled the same; the Tag creates more length (about 5-7 feet) and greater entry angle. When I see my Panic start to burn up a little, it’s time to go this beast. Really is tremendous value for an entry/mid range ball. Matt Rayner Motiv Staff Member

MOTIV GRAFITTI TAG All I can say is this ball is unbelievable. This is the piece everyone should have. Its incredibly clean through the front and unbelievably consistent and strong on the back. The motion is predictable yet strong. It’s a motion the industry has yet to witness. If you are not a current Motiv user this is definitely the ball that can change your mind. I recently traveled to El Paso to compete in the UBSC Nationals. I have to say I wasn’t surprised that the Tag came into play and didn’t disappoint. This years patterns have more volume but are quite a bit shorter in length than usual. The Tag did its job as expected pushing cleanly through the fronts and providing a clean and consistent motion on the back. I watched as others were struggling to get any sort of consistent reaction. The Tag was incredible on these patterns as well as the BJ International pattern as well. I drilled 2 Tags for El Paso – Both Pin up – 1 with a motion hole with the thought that they would provide me a natural progression as the lanes began to break down. The motion hole ball definitely provided a more angular shape off the friction. This definitely came into play early on in the block when the higher volume pushed the ball further into the friction prior to its break point. This extra motion is just what I needed ..As the set went on into singles Tag #2 with out the motion hole allowed me to make a very small adjustment while still playing the same part of the lane. What a great compliment these two pieces were! Bottom line is if you don’t get this ball your missing out! See what all the hype is about ! Get a TAG today! Rick Zakrajsek Motiv Staff Ohio

I am new to Motiv Staff and just got to try this new Graffiti Tag. This ball is so clean through the front and has a really big backend motion. Much more then I am accustomed to. I am never afraid to get far enough left with my feet (right handed) because I know it is going to come back from anywhere. This ball creates so much angle and continuation through the pins and is a must have for anyone's arsenal. This ball is great on the THS and broken down sport patterns. The box surface for me had a little too much polish for what I am looking for so I lightly hit the surface with a 1000 abralon pad. Adam Chase Motiv Staff

The Graffiti Tag is a game changer! What’s the most common ball motion that people ask for? A ball that’s clean through the fronts, and hooks hard on the back end. I drilled up two Tags.. the first one I drilled to accentuate the skid/flip characteristics of the ball (70*x5”x40* with polish). Well, when this Tag hits the back ends, it has the quickest response to friction that I’ve seen. This means steeper angles into the pocket, which can be all the difference to carry those corner pins. This piece is now my late in block tournament / second league shift go-to ball. I drilled my second Tag with a smoother layout (50*x5”x70* with 2000 surface). They both worked out very well. The first Tag is great on the burn, both on long and short patterns. The second one is more effective on the fresh. I was quite surprised how well the Tag did with surface added – It is very versatile with this set-up. Don’t let the “Solid” cover deceive you… Most people associate a skid/flip ball with a pearl. It is designed for light to medium volumes of oil. For me it works especially well on long patterns with light oil. The energy retention this ball displays is fantastic. This ball is one you’re going to love. --Kevin Gallagher— PBA Member MOTIV Staff

Review: The Graffiti Tag is the latest release to come from Motiv Bowling. This light oil monster can and will have all walks of bowlers striking at will once they see the Graffiti Tag do in business on the lane. The Tag brings back the Halogen Core that is found on our Tribal’s and Motiv introduces the new Agility MXR coverstock. This partnership of cover and core provides maximum length on light oil with amazing response of the spot, and arguably the most continuation ever made from a Motiv or any product that has been made. Time to leave your mark with the new Graffiti Tag by Motiv Bowling. INNER CORE Halogen COVERSTOCK Agility MXR Reactive FINISH 5500 Grit LSP Comments: I have been with Motiv bowling for three years now and been happy and blessed to be a part of such a wonderful company. I have drilled hundreds of bowling balls and seen this company become one if not the top player in the game and the Graffiti Tag I believe in my heart is the one put us over the top as the top dog in the game. This is hands down one of if not the best bowling ball I have ever put in my hand. This light oil monster works best in light oil because on the lighter condition I get maximum length and the continuation is pound for pound the most I have EVER seen come from a bowling ball. Another feature I love from the Graffiti tag that I have seen at least is that if you’re not striking at a higher than normal percentage, then that means you have a minor flaw either in your swing or timing. In other words the Graffiti Tag will let you know when you’re throwing it good or not. From regular house bowlers who bowl three games a week or to tournament bowlers, all of you will love the Graffiti Tag and it will have a spot in your bag for many years to come. I recommend the Graffiti Tag to all style of bowlers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpEuWtnlcZc Motiv Bowling and Realbowlerstape.com Staffer, John Robertson Motivbowling.com

I drilled the New Motiv Graffiti Tag just like i drill all my symmetrical balls (65 x 4 1/2 x 35). I love this layout because it gives me plenty of flare without sacrificing down-lane hook for my style. This ball is absolutley amazing! The ball fits right in between the Venom Panic and Appex Accent. It features the same high-rg, medium-diff Halogen core that's in the Tribal and Tribal Fire. The tag however uses the all new agility MXR Shell coverstock. Comparing the New Graffiti to my Venom Panic, They both are cleaner through the fronts, but the Graffiti is more angular down lane, with more entry angle. Comparing the Graffiti to the Apex Accent, the tag is a little earlier than an apex, but 5-7 boards stronger at least. I honestly see this ball as a game changer for Motiv. Motiv hasn't had an entry-mid to mid range release that made this shape before. I can't wait for you to get this must have ball in your bag! Jonathan Sellers Motiv Staff Member

Layout: 75 x 5 x 40 When the lanes begin to dry up and you need something to move left with and are unwilling to compromise a strong backend reaction, the Motiv Graffiti Tag is the ball you want in your hands. The brand new Agility MXR coverstock (finished at 5500 LSP) paired up with the proven Halogen core (2.55RG, .037 Diff) has created a shape that no Motiv ball has ever before dreamed. Don’t let the fact that this is a ‘solid’ fool you, the response time once this ball finds friction is tremendous; this ball is making my pearls look lazy. My Tag is super clean through the fronts, effortlessly gliding several feet further down the lane than my similar Tribal Fire does. Once it finds the downlane friction it quickly revs up and makes an abrupt left hand turn. What’s great about this ball is that it still retains its continuation power even through such an energy-draining breakpoint snap. While I have been able to throw it on our fresh house pattern this ball is truly at home on the burn. I have yet to find a terminus to the left where this ball just won’t recover or carry the corners. Those who have lower revs will love how this ball takes off on the friction for them and those with a higher rev rate will appreciate how clean this ball makes it downlane without losing energy. When the lanes breakdown and deep inside is where you must go, #LeaveYourMark on the scoreboard by throwing a Motiv Graffiti Tag. Trent Overbey In the Zone Pro Shop Motiv Staff www.motivbowling.com

This ball is the newest introduction into the MOTIV line of bowling balls. The MOTIV Graffiti Tag features a new solid coverstock combined with the Halogen core. It's super clean through the front of the lane, makes an unbelievable move off the spot and has all the backends you will be looking for and then some. And let's not leave out that it goes through the pins like a freight train. It will be a great fit in your bag on light oil. When you don't think any ball will go through the heads, this ball will fly through them. My Tag is laid out with the pin above and to the right of the ring finger, the cg under the ring finger and has no extra hole. To say it's clean through the front part of the lane would be a huge understatement. The move it makes is like nothing I've seen before and it's continuation through the pins is something you have to see to believe. This ball is going to get A LOT of play for me on light oil. Description: The Graffiti Tag is the third release using the Halogen Light Bulb Core, it was previously used in the original Tribal and the Tribal Fire. The Tag however uses the all new Agility MXR shell. Reaction: The intention of the Tag is for late blocks and short patterns, but I have found that it has even much more potential. The ball is cleaner than anything MOTIV has produced. With that being said it might scare some people into thinking that because of the length there is no way it can recover in time or with authority. It recovers plenty and then some, along with the distinguished MOTIV continuation through the pins. The ball keeps my lines very straight through the front part of the lane even on some broken down or shorter patterns such as practicing on the 2015 USBC Nationals pattern. This ball has earned a trip to El Paso this year because of the easy length it provides on the shorter patterns being used. Although it changes direction very fast when it hits friction the ball is deep enough on the pattern that I need that recovery. (I did break the Tag cover with 4K Abralon for use on the USBC pattern) Layout #1 40 X 5 X 45 This has more hook potential of the two layouts. It starts sooner and doesn’t respond as aggressive to friction, but still more angular by far than anything in the line. Layout #2 60 X 5.5 X 35 This layout accents the intention of the ball and where it fits in the MOTIV line. It’s very clean and very aggressive when encountering friction. There is not stoppage in either ball. Comparisons: The Venom Panic is sooner and more gradual when it encounters friction. It has more hook potential, but because the Tag is so angular it appears to hook more. The Apex Ascent is clean, slower responding downlane and less overall hook. Once again MOTIV has done a great job on placing a ball into their ball guide. ( http://www.motivbowling.com/resources/ball-guide.html) Summary: I don’t tend to like lower-end/weaker pieces for the fact that I just don’t personally get much use from them. The Graffiti Tag however provides length and recovery that has never been produced before. This ball will be very popular because of the performance and the price point in which it is being offered.
