Forza GT

Review: The Forza GT is going to be strongly versatile on numerous patterns, both house and sport. I compared my Forza GT to my Primal Rage Remix, as both contain a Hybrid coverstock. I easily noticed how the Forza GT gets into a heavier roll through the front and middle part of the lane. Having a similar layout on my Rage Remix, I did notice the smoother motion on the backend of the lane. With the signature continuation on the backend, the shape does remind me the Covert Revolt and original Forza – which is still amazing and a favorite to a lot of bowlers. The combination of the Forza GT and Rage Remix will a great combination, especially for those that compete in numerous tournaments and bowls in multiple houses. Summary: The Forza GT will easily become the benchmark ball for a lot of bowlers. It’s heavy rolling, has a smooth shape on the backend, and keeps hooking without sacrificing any hitting power. It wouldn’t shock me to hear that this may be the best Forza yet. The Forza GT will be a great compliment to many of the other MOTIV balls, both current and older. Because it was a snow tire it was somewhat condition specific in terms of overall usage, the Forza GT provides a different overall ball motion and reaction. In term of encountering friction, the Forza would become lazy whereas the GT would pick up and roll through the friction. Overall the GT provided a faster and smoother reaction than the Forza. Forza Redline: The Forza Redline provides a faster response time upon encountering friction as well as providing a more angular ball motion that the Forza GT overall, the difference in what the GT does upon encountering friction is the overall ball motion. The GT is not as sharp as the Forza Redline as it is smoother and provides a more controlled ball motion overall, unlike the GT the Redline is not ideal in terms of usage on heavier patterns. Summary: Satisfaction at first roll is the best way I can describe the Forza GT, having the original and the Redline in the same bag I’m rather fond of the shape all three provide me with. In terms of overall reaction the original Forza was early and controllable which made it ideal heavier patterns, the Forza Redline is considered the fastest and most angular of the three, and the Forza GT is longer than the original Forza but it isn’t as sharp as the Forza Redline. A perfect fit in between the two. Although I didn’t include the Havoc in the video, the Havoc is earlier than the GT but it is also slower than the GT down lane. At the end of the day Motiv has done what they’ve always done and that is giving society a product that does as advertised, and the Forza GT is just that. If you are looking for something to play a little deeper with but with a smoother ball motion, and if you’re a fan of controlled continuation then I encourage you to take a look at the Forza GT. Your game will thank you for it.

Speed off hand 18 Review: The Forza GT is a nice addition to the Forza Line. It is also noted the other Forza balls have been discontinued. The Forza GT still uses the Torx core which matches the Hybrid cover nicely. The GT would fit right between the original Forza which wanted to start early and the Redline which was very angular compared to the GT. The Forza GT is really the best of both worlds. The Forza GT is a very nice looking ball and can easily be polished for more length and backend. Like the other Forza balls, the GT drives through the pocket keeping the pins low. In my opinion the newer Motiv Balls seem to clean easier and feel tackier after cleaning. In the current line the Forza GT fits under my Revolt Havoc and above my Octane Burn. The Forza GT is very predictable and hard hitting and is a must have for house shots. The Forza GT reads early enough but still saves power for the back end. It is easy to line up with the GT and once you do, you can beat the pocket up all night. I got my best results with swinging the GT on a house shot or going up the boards on a sport pattern. In the video we are on the Tower of Piza and the ball rolled very well even with my lower rev rate. It would not be my first choice on heavy and flat patterns but will still work. As I said before a THS is where this ball really shines! I do not think we have seen the last of the Forza line from Motiv. Summary: The Forza GT has a new predictable Hybrid cover This ball is a House Shot must have, The Forza GT hits hard and keeps pins low. Polishes well but maintains the same predictability. Forza GT Review Motiv Bowling has introduced the New Forza GT. I drilled the Forza GT just like i drill all my symmetrical balls (65 x 4 1/2 x 35). I love this layout because it gives me plenty of flare without sacrificing down-lane hook for my style. This is one of my favorite balls in my bag right now. The Forza GT is the third Forza in the series and in my opinion the best out of the three. The Forza has a New Helix HR (Hybrid Reactive) coverstock, which raps around the Torx Core that is used in the previous two Froza’s. The Forza GT still gives me a benchmark feel, but will give you more continuation down lane. Compared to the original Forza the GT will not be as early, but can handle the same amount of oil and will continue through the pins better. Compared to Redine, the Forza GT is earlier with better continuation but they are a really great compliment to each other. I have used this ball on multiple pattern and tournament. The Forza GT is best when used on medium to light lane conditions. If you are looking for a benchmark ball with great continuation through the pins. The Forza GT should be your balls of choice!. With its hybrid coverstock, the Forza GT is a little later than the original Forza, and a little later than the Forza Redline. Reaction: I got exactly what I was looking for out of the Forza GT. This ball is one of the first out of the bag on medium-oily lane conditions. The hybrid coverstock retains enough energy to pop off the back of the pattern, but the ball is strong enough not to hydroplane in oil. Overall: The Forza GT provides an excellent look at the lanes as first out of the bag. If I need something stronger, I can use a Trident. Smoother, a Revolt Havoc. Weaker, drop down to a Venom Shock. Layout: 65 x 5 ½” x 40 Building upon the success of the reliable Torx core (2.50RG, .051Diff), the latest iteration of the Forza line not only looks good on the shelf, it leaves its mark on the lane as well. The new Helix HR coverstock (finished at 4000 LSS) allows the GT to read the mids like the original while still saving energy for some backend pop similar to the Redline. This ball is slotted to provide a middle ground for the Forza line and it does not fail. Throwing mine on several shots I have found that it blends the wet/dry extremely well, giving me a more tempered reaction at the breakpoint without sacrificing a continuous backend roll through the deck. The ability for this to read the mids gives me a heads up on the transitions but also some forgiveness in case I was a bit behind the move. Even when I get deeper on the lane I can see the ball blending out the hook spot to give me a controllable breakpoint. If you’re looking for a benchmark ball that will control the pocket for you while giving you a bit of miss-right forgiveness, look no further than the Forza GT. I was a big fan of the original smooth rolling MOTIV Forza, so I was excited to see that the new Forza GT was coming out with the same core, and a new Hybrid Cover. My hope was that the Forza GT would be right in the middle of my arsenal, and after throwing it for a while under a variety of conditions – that’s exactly what I got: My new benchmark ball! On average length fresh oil patterns I find that the GT has just the right amount of traction to deliver perfect continuation through the pins. It is smooth and easy to read and gives me a real accurate sense of what the lane is offering me that day. Plus, since it’s right in the middle of my line-up, I am able to easily transition to another ball that might have have a little more back-end, or pick up a bit earlier. I’ve also experimented and found that the GT really takes to surface adjustments very well to really fine tune the shape. This ball is the newest introduction into the Forza line of MOTIV bowling balls. The MOTIV Forza GT features the new Helix™ HR (Hybrid Reactive) cover stock combined with the Torx core . It's clean through the front of the lane, it reads the med lane for change of direction and makes a strong but controllable move on the backend. Most importantly, it features the continuation that MOTIV balls are becoming known for. It will be a great fit in your bag on medium oil. The Forza GT will become that benchmark ball in your bag you can count on to read the lanes and blend out patterns on the fresh, yet give you more then enough backends that you won't want to put the ball away after five frames. My Forza GT is laid out with the pin to the right of my ring finger, the cg stacked straight up and down and an extra hole about 1" below my PAP. This ball has already found a place in my bag, it's a great ball first out of my bag. The ball gives me very readable controlled roll and blends the fresh out very nicely. Review: The Motiv Forza GT is the newest release from Motiv bowling. The Forza GT is the hybrid version of the Forza line and is the most balanced of all three. The Forza GT brings together Torx core and the new Helix HR hybrid reactive. This combination gives the Forza GT the smooth, continuation from the original Forza and the length through the pins we saw with the Forza Redline. The GT gives the bowlers that proper balance but still being true to the Forza line. INNER CORE Torx COVERSTOCK Helix HR FINISH 4000 Grit LSS Comments: If you go around and ask my core friends or Motiv teammates and you will know the Forza Redline was my ball of choice this past season. I loved everything about that bowling ball because it gave me what I thought was missing from the original Forza so I was excited to see what the Forza GT had to bring. First, this is my favorite color scheme because I’m from Michigan and huge UofM fan so that was my first thought but boy has the piece blew my mind away. What the Forza GT gives me is I feel I can play any part of the lane and still have the confidence to knock 10 pins down. I felt that with the balance in length that gives me the confidence I need. High rev players will love the piece on fresh house shot and flatter sport shot condition because of the balance of smooth ball motion, aggressive downlane motion and angle into the pocket. The Forza GT is latest ball from MOTIV bowling that uses the Torx core found in the Forza and Forza Redline. The GT is equipped with the new Helix Hybrid Reactive (HR) cover stock. While the Forza was early and smooth and the Redline was long and strong, the GT is a blend of both. Not as early and not as strong which means better control. Playing tighter angles on longer patterns with control is definitely a must in my bag and should be in your bag. It's been hard for me to take the Venom Shock out of my hands but this ball has just about done that. I have drilled Forza GT, one pin up/no hole and one pin down with a hole 2 inches down from my axis. They are quickly becoming new favorites. The blue/dark blue color combo with bright yellow Neomark logo provides amazing shelf appeal and looks great going down the lane. If you liked the Forza and Redline, you'll love changing gears and throwing the GT.

Motiv’s new release is the Forza GT. This ball will become your new benchmark ball! This ball features a hybrid coverstock “Helix HR” with the Torx core. The RG differential is .051 and this combo will provide you with the great continuation of the original Forza with the hitting power of a pearl. If you watch the video you'll be able to see the Havoc starts up earlier and has more total overall hook than GT. The Paranoia gets further down lane with less overall hook and isn't able to recover from the same line as the GT. The Cobra also gets further down lane than the GT and is is even weaker than the Paranoia. The GT fits in between the Havoc, Paranoia, and Cobra in ball motion and overall hook. It doesn't start as early as the Havoc, but it is earlier and stronger than both the Paranoia and Cobra. This places the GT firmly in the benchmark category. The balls I chose to compare to the pin up Forza GT were the original Forza, Octane Burn, and Venom Shock. The original Forza is earlier and forward off the spot providing very little continuation through the pins. The Octane Burn gets further down lane and while it responds faster to friction, isn't as strong as the GT in overall hook. For me, the Venom Shock had to closest shape to the GT than all of the other balls I compared to the GT. The main difference I saw was in overall hook and continuation. The Shock is more mild by design and for me is more forward off the spot than the GT. SUMMARY "Benchmark" is a term that gets thrown around in the bowling industry quite often and I must admit I find the Forza GT to be just that. It's a ball designed for medium oil that doesn't start too early or too late. It isn't forward off the spot nor does it go sideways either. Since I have drilled my two GT's I keep finding myself going back to them frequently. During practice I will throw whatever I bring with me and when my GT is in the bag, I usually end up throwing it. I find it to be quite versatile and usable on a wide variety of patterns because of how well it controls and reads the lane. It's the perfect fit between not only the original Forza and the Redline, but also the medium/heavy and light oil choices. Forza GT The new Forza GT is a ball that I have anxiously awaited. I have been a huge fan of the Forza Redline since it was released. The Forza Redline provided me a great mid lane read with a much stronger back end than the original Forza. The new Forza GT takes it one step further. The new Hybrid Coverstock ( Helix HR) provides the traction needed on Medium Oil patterns with both length and control. The pearlized coverstock adds the hitting power and continuation we have all come to love from Motiv equipment. For me the pin up v ersion provided some added length with a very similar shape and was a great compliment to the pin down version which read much earlier in the mid lane but wasn’t over reactive. The Forza GT is a great complimental piece to the Redline for me as it will provide me with the additional shapes needed to compete at the PBA level while still providing the predictability of the Forza line.

The MOTIV Forza GT... It appears that MOTIV might be on a bit of a Hybrid cover kick, and truthfully, I AM NOT COMPLAINING ONE BIT. The basic definition of any Hybrid piece is to try and provide the best of both world in ball reaction, length with a much smooth roll. There is nothing basic when it comes to the Forza GT as a Hybrid. I find myself having a difficult time not pulling this piece out of the bag in any form of competition. Continuing forward with the Forza product line, we find ourselves with a new hybrid cover stock in the Helix HR wrapped around the well-known Forza trademark Torx core. This combination delivers a good amount of traction through medium oil patterns along with length for reliable continuation down lane. If anyone recalled my Redline review last year, ‘benchmark’ was my word of choice to describe that ball. Now, I am not going to go back on this review, but I must say that the Forza GT made me re-consider my choice of word. Instead, I’ve decided to say that they are both benchmark pieces (yes, I’m copping out on this one!). I just can’t deny the unique ball motion that the GT offers. This hybrid cover does allow for a bit earlier roll than we see with the Redline, BUT it still has length and continuation minus a skip-flip reaction. With this combination, I can keep my angles in front of me and play up the lanes due to this semi-early roll to the ball. The beauty of the GT though, is the fact that, if/when the heads do begin to go, I can chase the shot right slightly (remember... LEFTY HERE) and open up my angle without sacrificing pin carry with the continuation that this piece provides. One great example of this controllable continuation occurred to me just last week. My 3 person team, which has myself and a fellow lefty had moved to a new pair. Now this pair previously had another lefty with a very high rev rate (a rev rate similar to Ryan Ciminelli actually). Now this gentlemen decided to take one of his weaker pieces and play 10 to 5 line for 2 games before switching to a different pair. Now you can image, with such a high rev rate on a second shift shot, how fried the lanes had to be outside of 7. What did I do you may ask? Enter the Forza GT my friends. With the controlled continuation, I was able to inch myself in to about 12 at lay down and simple allow the ball to drift out to 6 or 7 at about 43 feet. Once this piece hit that spot, it didn’t make a quick snap for the head pin, a smooth transition with no loss of hitting power, and 10 strikes later.. The Forza GT for me is such a better overall ball than the original Forza was. I still get the same benchmark feel with it but get much more continuation and I am able to use it for a much longer period of time. The GT is not as early as the Original Forza but can certainly handle the same amount of oil. Compared to the Redline, the GT is earlier and more controllable but they compliment each other very well. This ball is best on medium to drier lane conditions with the out of box surface. Description: The Forza GT is the third Forza in the series, but the first with a hybrid coverstock. The new Helix HR (Hybrid Reactive) shell covers the original Torx Core used in the previous two Forza’s. This Forza once again has the MOTIV Badge Logo, which gives it great shelf appeal. Reaction: It’s an honest assessment that the Forza GT is a combination of the first two Forza’s. The Forza GT provides more length than the original, but not as clean as the Forza Redline. In terms of shape down lane the Forza GT is not as slow or smooth as the original, but also not as fast or angular as the Redline when seeing friction. As far as overall hook the Forza GT is stronger than either of the first two Forza’s given all things are equal (layouts, surface and lane condition). I think for a majority of the people who throw this it will become a benchmark ball. With the overall shape the Forza GT provides and continuation, it will allow success with multiple angles of attack. With the box finish or less it will be useable on a lot of house conditions and with the box finish or even more surface added I think it will be useable on a lot of challenging medium to heavy oil conditions. Comparisons: The original Forza was very early and very controllable, making it more condition specific. The Forza Redline was almost too fast or angular to be considered a benchmark ball, once again the Forza GT will fit right in between. MOTIV inserts the Forza GT in the smooth column of the ball guide ( http://www.motivbowling.com/resources/ball-guide.html), but because of the combination of the unique shape and strength, it provides a lot of versatility. The Revolt Havoc is much earlier and much slower down lane and although your eyes will tell you the Forza GT hooks more that is only because the Revolt Havoc hooks almost entirely in the front part of the lane. For me the Forza GT will probably be taking some time away from my Venom Shock, it’s a little stronger and just a little smoother, and I really like the Venom Shock, as I know a lot of people do. Summary: There are times when I need something smoother but still required to play the deeper part of the lane. The best part about the Forza GT is the carry it has provided on a part of the lane that I struggle to carry with more controllable balls.
