LaneMasters sent this ball to me, along with the New Standard and the Yeah Baby. We laid this ball out with the Pin 4 1/2 from my PAP and the CG 4 1/2 from my PAP. The ball had a pin out 3 inches. We put the pin 2 inches above my grip line and this put the pin directly under my ring finger. With the longer pin the CG was down in my thumb quadrant. I tested this ball on a variety of shots. I found this ball to be at its best on Medium-Light Oil shots where I could go more up the lane. I was able to swing the ball around 5 boards and still get the ball back to the pocket without a problem. With the layout that I put into the ball I found the Awesome Impact to be the ball of choice when I was able to go more direct, especially when the heads started to dry up. The Awesome Impact has the same hitting power as the other LaneMaster equipment. This is the straightest of the 3 LaneMaster balls that I have thrown (Awesome Impact, Yeah Baby, and New Standard).
