I am a lane #1 Fanatic! This is a great ball from the company and a smart idea with cutting the top of the diamond off in the core. The Viper clears the heads really well, causing a great push down the lane. Once it finds the dry it waits, oh it waits, and stalks the pocket like a Viper waiting in the grass... to pounce upon its pray. They said it was predictible, and this is very true. If you get it down the lane, it will come back time and time again. However, compared to other predictible balls it is not weak, and it does not die out. IT IS STRONG BUT DOES NOT OVER REACT! When it hits the pocket there is not a pin on the back row that stands a chance. This is a great ball for when there is fresh back end... if you have heavy oil and stripped back ends, this is a ball you can open up the lane with. This is a ball that works very well on hard shots that feature a short oil pattern. I will go as far as saying that if you have any speed what so ever, and any ounce of head oil...

ANOTHER PRIZE FROM LANE #1. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL ROLL THIS BALL HAS. IT JUST FEEDS RIGHT DOWN THE LANE AND ROLLS UP REAL NICE. IN MY OPINION IT IS THE LANE #1 COUNTERPART TO THE STORM TOUR POWER ROLL WISE. I TESTED IT TWICE TODAY, ONCE ON A BURNT SHOT AND ONCE ON A FRESH PATTERN. THE FRESH ONE WHERE I BOWL IS PRETTY HEAVY SO I COULDNT FIND THE POCKET. THATS NOT TO DISCOUNT THE BALL ANY, IT WAS JUST THE WRONG CHOICE FOR THAT SHOT. BUT ON THE KIND OF USED UP PATTERN, WHAT A BALL. IT STILL WENT DOWN EASY AND ROLLED UP REAL NICE. THIS ONE DOES EXACTLY WHAT I HOPED IT WOULD. GOOD LENGTH AND A NICE FIRM TURN IN THE BACK.THE MOST PREDICTABLE OF ALL THE LANE #1 EQUIPMENT CURRENTLY MADE. IT HAS NEW CORE COMPARED TO THE OLD VIPERS SO I STILL WANT TO FIND SOME OF THOSE. BUT THIS ON IS DEFINATELY A KEEPER. DOESNT HAVE THE HIT OF THE BOMB BUT IT STILL HAS MORE THAN MOST OTHER COMPANIES EQUIPMENT.
