Bloody Panther

Shred the lanes and devour the pins with Lane #1's newest beast, the BLOODY PANTHER. This animal has a carnivorous appetite, and is prepared to chomp into anything in its path. Once you release the beast, it's time for it to feast..!!

Layout: 75 x 4 x 40 PAP: 3 ¾ x ¾ up Pre-Drilling Expectations: I am anticipating the Bloody Panther to be more aggressive compared to the Pearl Panther and have a slightly better carry potential. I am hoping this ball can replace my Pink Panther which is my favorite Lane #1 ball of all time. I have very high expectations on this new release. Ball Appearance: The ball has a deep red and black color with neon yellow lettering. It is not “flashy” but it looks nice out of the box. Inserts recommendation: neon yellow My Random Thoughts (i.e. My Review): The Ball makes a smooth transition off the breakpoint. While rolling down the lane I know exactly what the reaction will be…good or bad. I love the massive diamond core in the panther lineup. It really keeps the pins low on the deck which increases the carry ability. Medium and slightly above medium oil conditions is ideal for the Bloody Panther. It is stronger(2-3 boards) then the Pearl Panther and clears the heads just as well. In heavier oil patterns the ball skids through the breakpoint and leaves a few weak 10 pins. Hopefully the bleeder hybrid 9.7 cover will last longer then the Black Panther. I hate when bowling ball covers “die” after 75 - 100 games. No amount of resurfacing has helped the 3 Black Panthers I have purchased. Final Thoughts The Bloody Panther will not replace my Pink Panther in my bowling bag. However, it is a very solid release by Lane #1 and will fit a need for many house bowlers. The smooth transition off the breakpoint is a thing of beauty. I really love the Panther series by Lane #1 and I hope they continue using the oversized patented diamond core in future releases. Matthew Becker BowlerX Amateur Staff www.bowlerx.com
