Got this one from the Texas Connection! Thanks go out to G_thing. Another quality Hammer in awesome used condition, drilled this one up strong, full stacked leverage, not thinking it would be as strong as it turned out. Was pleasantly surprised as I rarely bowl on light oil and was going to fill this void in my arsenal. Now will be able to use it at the local house that puts out a decent amount of oil. Generally play down and in and this ball excels on this shot. Can swing it on drier conditions as needed. Roll is predictable and smooth. Carry is typical Hammer!

Let's start off by saying that I've owned two of these. The first one I let my driller decide what to do with the ball. Originally, I thought that maybe part of the mistake was in where the drill was. The pin was about an inch below the ring at about almost 6:00, with the CG directly below and the LMB under that, close to the thumb at 3:30 to it. Later I found the problem to be the factory finish though as the ball last me all of maybe 10 shots. With the finish and the drill, I got nothing on the ball. In oil, which at that time everyone thought it was for, it did nothing. In the dry, it did very little. On a drier condition, I would pull out my Blade Pearl and see a nice controlled hook with the ball (wasn't drilled for skid/flip), but the same shot yielded nothing with the Deal. Needless to say.....SOLD. Heard some rumors that the ball was a good ball if the factory finish was taken off......Hmmmm....so I got another one. This one with drilled more aggressive to start with the

Another good hammer. This one was previously owned by a lefty friend of mine. Anyway, drilled with pin on ring ringer, and massbias 1 inch below my axis (5 13-16 over, 1/4 up). Anyway, this ball is super smooth until it reaches the backend. I would never have known that this was a particle ball the way it moves. I know many dont like it because it went tooo long, but the aggressive drill i have on mine dont make it scooot long at all. It gives same length i get from my saw blade, just 1 foot or so longer with more backend punch. Yet another good ball from Hammer!!

I am a cranker so I drilled the ball to go longer than normal.. The pin is right over the grips at about 12:00.. The drilling worked out great as the ball rolls very smoothly through the heads and makes a nice, hard turn to the pins and carries very well.. Also it is fairly forgiving, so every shot doesn't have to be perfect.. I definately leave less ten pins with this one.. I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for something with some length and a pretty good pop to the pins.. This is the first Hammer i've ever bought, but I know what they mean when they say "Nothing hits like a Hammer!"

The Deal had been a great bowling ball for me. This ball snaps in the backend. You should pollish the ball everytime you bowl. If it get drity it goes everywhere. This is my first 700 bowling ball and im glad to shoot it with a ball. Get this ball if you can find it undrilled. It's name is what you get. Hammer bowling is pretty good. Im looking at the big deal to bowl so ill comment about that later. Or the high rev bowling ball, there good bowling balls and I think it's a good ball<s

Ball is drilled for length, as I thought this was going to be another weak ball from Hammer, it does go long but it handles oil better than I thought and clears the deck when it is in the pocket. The ball rolls pretty consistant but it is not very forgiving when your mark is missed. If it flies to far out it can roll out before getting to tthe pocket (could be the set -up) and if tugged it will fly left. I ran in to problems when the lanes were fired out with the ball over reacting but it also carried several Brooklyn hits. Hammer / Ebonite seem to be headed in the right direction with this ball and I hope they keep going UP.<scri

This ball is just what the aid says: goes long and strong. Very controlable. But not very forgiving. For the price it is not a bad deal. Nice color sceem. If you hit the pocket light you will leave the ten pin all night long. Don't expect any more from this ball than it's long and strong. You have to be in the pocket flush. The one thing you must give hammer they do hit hard. Ball is not very forgiving, & you must keep this ball shinned up factory finish or it's all over the place. After about fifity games the ball lost it's factory shine and was too hard to cotroll on the wood lanes. All in all good ball.

I was told this ball would hook strong on the the backend, but I haven't seen any results of that yet. (May have to take it for a little sanding job at the shop.) I'm hoping this ball will break in a good track within the next month, if it doesn't I'll probably make a move to the Brunswick Inferno. I usually roll the ball out across the 3rd arrow and expect it to come rolling back. I placed "The Deal" on the lane with my usual stroke and the ball had the appearance of making the turn to the pocket, but just continued to slide right down the lane. I didn't find the pocket until I used the straight down and in approach. I just laughed because the ball had plenty of spin on it, but never turned over. I plan on sticking with this ball for another month. If I don't see any results, it's going to the dogs.

I got my dad's deal plugged up after he disliked it. He told me that the ball went too long and didn't recover. So i plugged it up. I drilled the pin under my ring finger and bumped the cg and the mass bias out. I sanded it down and now the ball moves like an animal. I use it for oiled conditions and now it's the only ball in my bag that isnt brunswick. It doesn't grip like my ultimate inferno does, but it is an alternate just in case my ultimate isn't working the way i want it to. I've thrown some nice games on lots of oil. I recommend this ball if you like balls that have length, but if you want something to hook stick with the real deal.<s

well i bought this ball because i was wanting to try a hammer ball and everyone seem to say the deal was alright. after purchasing it i read more reviews on it and people were saying they were having trouble making it turn the corner, i thought since i put a lot of hand in the ball that wouldnt be a problem for me...well turns out i was wrong. when first getting this ball i was playing straight up second with not much room to swing. as i bowled more games the ball seemed to not want to react on a variety of lane conditions. finally i got one of my friends to look at the drill pattern and it was drilled to hook up early. well i asked around on the internet and found the solution to this ball not hooking. first you sand it down to 600 then hit it with a little bit of polish. once i did this, this ball started taking off. i was suddendly forced to play 15 out to about 11 and still coming in heavy. i suggest getting a little bit more polish on it after getting it sanded down to 600 if you

I had been interested in this ball for a month or two, a few of my friends have been raving to me about it. I recently attended a Hammer Demo Day and had a chance to throw the Deal on a variety of lane conditions. The ball was drilled in the standard strong fashion, with the pin at about 4 o'clock and the CG kicked out a bit. On a fresh house shot the ball cleared the fronts with ease, glided through the midlane and flipped into the pocket like a car with a broken axel once it hit the dry backs. The entry angle was extreme to say the least. Shot after shot it cleared the deck with ease. I was able to throw a few different lines with equal effect. The only drawback I can think of is you have to rev this ball pretty hard to get the reaction that Hammer advertises. For slower speeds you can play up 10 and it will still finish. I do not think this ball is ideal for me (I don't throw or rev that hard), but for someone who has been struggling with over reaction, this ball, when drilled

Took my 4" pin and leveraged the Pin and CG with the pin 1 1/2 in above the VAL or Midline. 1" Weight Hole on the VAL or Midline on a line from the Center of Grip through the Center of Gravity Pitched 1" down . LMB 80 degrees from PAP This is a drilling that Mo Pinel (MoRich) came up back in the early 90's that he called "Flip Dick" and that is what it does it goes long and makes a sudden move to the pocket. I actually had to back my fingers out of the finger holes to maintain control of the ball. I dropped to a 14lb ball because my arthritis has been bothering me, but this ball has explosive power and did not notice any difference in carry.
