I got tired of trying to figure out which arrow to shoot when the lanes broke down for my 6 & 10 pin spares. Now I simply roll the Red Pearl standing 20 and shooting 10 and the problem is solved, regardless of the lane conditions. When the heads were really fried, I got a 5 board break but that is still easily manageable when shooting corner pin spares. This is truly a ball for the deserts and being a Hammerhead, this ball has made the difference between shooting 210 & 220 to 240 and 250. Hammer should be commended for producing a ball for spare shooting and driest of lane conditions. It doesn't hurt that it is a cool looking ball to watch either! Remember, NOTHING HITS LIKE A HAMMER!!!

I just got this ball drilled up yesterday and took it out to practice with today. I was bowling on a med-light oil shot with decent back end. If I threw the ball straight up the five board the ball would just walk right in.... it was great. All and all a very good ball for dry to light oil lanes. I was able to avg 211 for a 8 game block with this ball so I was very pleased. All and all the best 80 bucks I ever spent. In case your wondering this ball does not hook anywhere near as much as the Cranberry Groove.

Drilled this ball up right above the pin I played this up the 2 board and it did great. It skids about half way down the lane and makes a small arcing snap. Very easy to control but I just didn't seem to have the greatest carry like with reactive balls. I liked how it rolled though and its a great dry lane ball that can easily go between my shamrock and hit. It is also very useful when you have those baby splits that you just need a very small hook in the backend. You can use it as a spare ball also but you might want to be careful when it gets too dry. Overall its a great light oil ball though but I think I might like the brunswick groove urethane cranberry, it had just a little more hook and snap then this one does.

I laid this out right over the label to use mainly for spares and super dry lane conditions. The tournament that I was able to use the Sling Blade on the light oil, I was also able to play in the super dry area outside of first arrow. This 3-piece ball isn't going to fit into a lot of bowlers bags, because they will only be able to use it on Super Dry lane conditions. It is a good ball to practice straighter shots and spare shooting. The Red Pearl Hammer gives bowlers a ball between their spare ball and dry lane reactive ball.
