Hammer is very pleased to introduce the new Hammer Aggressive Reaction Technology (HART) core concept to the bowling industry. Developed by our team of design engineers, this radical new concept in bowling ball core design provides maximum performance without the need for exotic layouts and weightholes. It is that simple. Combining the new HART core concept and Violent Response Reactive coverstock gives the bowler more aggressive hook motion and improved hitting power. This unique core concept delivers aggressive backend reaction by placing the pin at 1:30 with the HART in the track (see Drilling #1). The No Mercy is very simple to drill. For layout purposes, please use the plastic bag as a template. |

Hammer Aggressive Reaction Technology (HART)
Hammer is very please to offer the unique Hammer Aggressive Reaction Technology (HART) core concept to the bowling industry. Developed by our team of design engineers, this radical new concept in bowling ball core design provides maximum performance without the need for exotic layouts and weight holes. It is that simple.
The HART core concept allows for strong hook motion with aggressive backend by placing the pin at 4? - 5? from the positive axis point and the HART in or near the ball track, The No Mercy offers a simple approach to asymmetrical cores so you do not have to over think this one. For aggressive ball motion, drill No Mercy series balls with Drilling #1 and have a nice day.
Tuning Ball Motion:
The coverstocks used on the Hammer No Mercy series will provide aggressive hook motion. However, it is important to keep in mind that all bowlers have different needs. The No Mercy coverstock can easily be sanded to a rougher grit for stronger hook motion in oil or polished for more length, more aggressive breakpoint and less total hook. Please consult your pro shop operator for additional assistance in tuning ball motion.
Ball Care:
It is imperative to maintain your new Hammer No Mercy by cleaning the coverstock immediately after each bowling session using bowling ball cleaning products designed for reactive balls. Hammer highly recommends Powerhouse energizer ball cleaner applied with a micro-fiber towel to remove the dirt and oil from the surface of the ball.
Drilling #1 - Most Aggressive
Ball Motion: Length with aggressive backend
Lane Condition: Medium to Heavy Oil
Flare Potential: High (5+)
Pin Placement: Place pin at 4? - 5? from the positive axis point (PAP)
HART Placement: Place HART in or near the ball track keeping side weight and finger/thumb weight to less than 1 ounce
NOTE: For bowlers with higher rev rates, place the pin at 5 - 5? from the bowlers positive axis point. For bowlers with lower rev rates, place the pin at 3? - 4 from the positive axis point.
Drilling #2 - Strong Arc
Ball Motion: Strong arcing hook (about 2-4 boards less than Drilling #1)
Lane Condition: Medium Oil
Flare Potential: Medium (3-5)
Pin Placement: Place pin at 4 - 5 from the positive axis point (PAP)
HART Placement: Place HART 2 right of the ball track
Balance Hole: If needed, place balance hole at 4 from the center of span on a line through the center of gravity.
Drilling #3 - Controlled Arc
Ball Motion: Controlled arc (about 4-6 boards less than Drilling #1)
Lane Condition: Light to Medium Oil
Flare Potential: Medium (2-4)
Pin Placement: Place pin at 5 - 5? from the positive axis point (PAP)
HART Placement: Place HART 1 right of the ball track keeping the side weight and finger/thumb weight to less than 1 ounce
Drilling #4 - Length with Smooth Arc
Ball Motion: Excellent length with smooth arc (about 6-8 boards less than Drilling #1)
Lane Condition: Light Oil
Flare Potential: Low (0-2)
Pin Placement: Place pin at 5 - 5? from the positive axis point (PAP)
HART Placement: Place HART 3 right of the ball track
Balance Hole: If needed, place balance hole at 4 from the center of span on a line through the center of gravity.
Drilling #5 - Full-Roller Layout
Full-Roller Ball Track Only!
Ball Motion: Strong arc
Lane Condition: Medium to Heavy Oil
Flare Potential: High
Pin Placement: Place pin at 4? from the center of the span and 2 from the grip centerline
HART Placement: Place HART at 4 from the grip centerline
Balance Hole: If needed, place weight hole at approximately 5 from the grip center on a line connecting the grip center and center of gravity.
Do not use traditional mass bias layouts for the Hammer No Mercy!!!

Wow, what can I say. Hammer's No Mercy is great ball. This ball can work anywhere good. I have mine drilled for low revs, which puts the pin about an inch and a half away from the ring finger and the heart on my track. When I first got it around the launch in November of 06, I didn't throw the ball well. First off, I threw it about 18-19 miles per hour on my strike shot and that didn't work out well, being that I don't crank the ball. Even then my average went up about 20 pins. I didn't clean the ball after every use when I got it, so it lost most of its power( if you don't clean your balls they will die, no matter the company, just to let you know). Now after a revamp of my style and a short bake and resurfacing I can rip the ball across whatever lane I got to, given I don't hit my ankle on the way down. =)

Drilled this ball up with the # 1 drilling pattern, average/lower track and average speed player. Ball reads the lane like no ball i have ever had in the bag.Great midlane read on med/heavy oil, which is what i was hoping for when i got this ball. Good companion with the black widow. Very controlable turn to the pocket with great carry. Crushes the pins with a sound that makes people on the next lane look over. Basic color to the ball, nothing fancy, but the ball proves its point at the pindeck. Great logo. couldn't have come up with anything cooler for it. Do you see any Mercy? I don't see any Mercy. There aint gonna be any Mercy. NO MERCY.. lol

My over all view of the No Mercy is that the ball is well above the norm for the balls that are out there so far. By far hammer is comming back in to the picture again since the 80's. I would not give up this ball for anything else. The ball does not give the pins time to know what hit them with this ball. I would rate the NO Mercy an 11 if there was one but i could only give it a 10. The No mercy is a must have in your bag. Nothing hits like a hammer. The name say's it all.

This is the only ball in our house right now that carries 10 pins consistently. The ball is extremely easy to read and it repeats what it will do consistenly as well. If the ball gets to the hole, it carries 8 out of 10 for sure. Not even kidding. Last night I shot 759 (289, 245, 225) and never changed balls. I got a hair too deep and ran into carry down problems the last game, but that was my fault not the ball's. I want people to know before they buy this ball that it won't hook as much as some of the hook monsters out there, but if you're looking for a hard rolling, hard hitting, consistent reaction (and who isn't) then this is the ball that you need to have in your bag. This is the first Hammer ball I have ever owned and am eyeing the new Toxic as we speak. If you buy this ball I can promise you that you won't be disappointed. I had an Angular One before I had this ball and I couldn't be happier about the switch. Good luck to you and your opposition if you have this ball

It had a great carry down hit and continuous hit, i think u might want to look at my reviews on other balls first. I shot 2 300 in the month i've had this ball, portrays backend motion and to me it was more midlane, otherwise good ball factory finish goes to long. i believe if you change the surface of the ball you can aquire the roll you need. I believe you might want to try the Angular one if u want more backend and for any other things you might prefer having both like me one for as league starts and then switch to the angular one after carry down because it still turns to the pocket strong just needs some backend

I have med revs and can throw fast, but I like throwing about med speed. I normally play 20 to 25 (depending on the oil), across 12 to 15, and aim for around 7 on the break point. If I get this ball a little wide, it comes back with a vengences and destroys the pocket. If I pull it inside my intended line, sometimes it holds, or it will break brooklyn and get a good carry. The only down side about this ball is if the lanes start drying out on ya. Once they do, this ball will get a little jumpy on the back end. Definitly needs some oil to work properly. If you bowl in a dry house, this ball is not for you. If you have good oil, this ball will show No Mercy on the pins, and will be a great addition to your arsenal....

Simply the best ball I've ever thrown. This ball smashes the pocket whether you are light or flush. High hits tend to leave the 6 (I"m a lefty) but that's my fault for not giving the ball room to work. This ball must be given room to do its job. Trust this ball and it never lets you down. Pins have no chance on light hits. I shot a 299 three days after having the ball drilled. 300 two days after that. I've averaged 232 in league since purchasing this ball 6 weeks ago. I really love my Doom and Vibe, but they have been stuck in the bag since I purchased this ball.

I drilled the no mercy with the No. 1 drilling on the spec sheet that the ball comes with. I was having trouble with my house shot because they have gone to a much flatter pattern this year. I just couldn't find a ball that I could use all three games. I have a Track Animal, Columbia Action, Storm Agent, and Storm Jolt. I can hit the pocket with all four playing different lines, but by the 3rd game there was no shot. Shot 255-229-236 for 720 first night out of the box & won enough brackets so that the ball paid for itself. Just moved left all night. Best ball I've thrown in quite a while. Definately would recommend

First: This is another great ball from Hammer!!!! I love it like my other 4 Hammer bowlingballs. (Big Deal, Road Hawg, Hawg Zilla, Black Widow). Powerful but smooth and very controlable. The pincarry is unbelievable. Goes long and straight down the lane, before turning hard, but smooth to the pocket. You can always read the balls way to the pins. Crushes the pins. You won`t be one of them. The biggest difference to the Widow is, that you have to throuw it slower. To fast, less hookpotential. I love the colour.. simply black!!!!!!! The No Mercy logo is also great.

This ball is incredible!!!!! I have only been bowling for a little over two years, and my average has went from 130-155, untill I purchased this ball. My average is now sitting at around 185, and I love it! This ball is extremely forgiving, i can slow the revs down andplay in a little, and still hit with extreme power. The only issue I have with this ball is that I moved up from a 12 lb Power Groove, and have trouble keeping a consistant speed that keeps a long line. Totally not the ball's fault! I use the trick drilling pattern for extreme backend, and I highly reccomend it to anyone who can control high speed/high rev bowling! This ball is a MUST HAVE!!

Well, I loved the ball when I got it, it was very forgiving and hit like a ton, but otherwise, for me it has been a disappointment. Why? Well, for one thing, the coverstock is EXTREMELY high maintenance. Put it this way-- I could use this ball as a lint roller. It sucks oil, and everything else, off the lane. Therefore, I have found that it requires frequent hot water/dawn baths to get oil out of the ball. I have no problem giving a ball a little extra TLC as long as it maintains reaction. Well-- it does not roll anything like when I bought it. Which is a huge disappointment. It has maybe 100 games on it now. For some people, that's a lot. For me, that's 2-3 weeks of bowling, and I don't feel like I've gotten my money's worth, especially considering my previous Hammer, a Big Deal, lasted 1000 games before I retired it. I know this ball will not last anywhere near that. The coverstock is pretty soft, and mine is beat up. In comparison, my main go-to ball, a Columbia

This is the most hooking Hammer I have ever owned. I can play outside the first arrow from the two board, right up the first arrow, or right up the second with awesome results. I have found this ball to be pretty forgiving when I make a mistake. The ball can get a little tricky to play once the lanes start to dry up. Once again the guys from Buddies Pro Shop have drilled up another nice ball for me. I have been able to maintain the best averages in a long time (It has been nice to finally bowl in a house that is consistent every week).

Got my first 300 game with this ball today. It was amazing how exact the read of the lanes has been. Hits like a baseball rocket into the pins. Keeps the pins low combined with a tremendeous carry. I think I will stay quite a while with this ball... :-) I have the ball drilled with layout no. 1. My play is somewhat between a stroker and tweener. I play over the first arrow down the lane with quite a good backend reaction. For this type of delivery I play the ball quite fast with med revs. Again, the carry is tremendeous.

i got this ball a month ago from my hammer rep. i drilled it up using the most agressive bag layout provided. pin 4inches from my pap. cg dead center of midplane and grip line. hart right on the first track line. i talked with Brian Graham at hammer and wanted a ball with similar motion to my Black Widow but with more overall hook. Out of box the No Mercy is only 2-3 boards more hook than the black widow but smoother. So i sanded mine to 1000 grit and WOW 5-6 more boards than my Black Widow perfect. This ball is simply amazing it gives me 2 boards either way of forgiveness. It is extremely predictible and reailible. The last ball i loved this much was the orginal Blade Solid and Black Hammer. The only thing i can complain about it the out of box finish too similar to the black widow, and on very long patterns i have to play more direct but still so does everyone. 814,785,779,767,769,741,694,657..... are my first 8 series with the ball including 2 300's over the last ten day

a,azing! ball skids skids skids picksup a little then ba,! it snaps back and will keep hooking through the pins. this ball will go through the pocket and end at the 7 pin. keeps pins low and flipping everywhere very good ball and great for a sport or oil shot. recovers just in time and KEEPS HOOKING will come back in the heaviest oil i could find and i could keep playing the deep line i love to play all day long. i used this in a major tournament 1000+ people and it worked great on the freshly oiled lanes and then i just kkept moving left and got deeper and deeper and it always recovered amazingly. GREAT BALL!

THIS HAMMER IS MY FAVORITE BALL ON THE MARKET RIGHT NOW ITS STRONGER THAN I EXPECTED, THIS BALL CAN BE USED ON HEAVY AND MEDIUM OIL BUT I CANT GET IT OUT TO FAST OTHERWISE IT WILL OVER REACT OTHERWISE THIS BALL IS AMAZING I USE IT AS UP THE BOARDS BALL IF THE BACKENDS ARE FLOODED OR THIS BALL CAN DO THE HUGE ARCH HOOK ITS AWSOME I HAVE THE ONLY ONE ON MY HIGH SCHOOL LEAUGE AND EVERY ONE THINKS ITS A OLD FABLL BLACK HAMMER ITS AMAZING HOW THIS BALL HOOKS AND IT ALSO CUTS THRU OIL REALLY WELL FOR A REACTIVE BALL. THIS BALL I USED ON A SPORT SHOT THAT HAD ONE LINE TO PLAY OFF THE 2 BOARD I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAD A SHOT BECUSE OF THE TURN TO THE POCKET I LOVE THIS BALL MORE NOW. I HAD THIS BALL DRILLED WITH PATTERN ONE ON THE SHEET ITS THE STRONGEST FOR FLOODED BACKENDS AND FOR OVERALL REACTION

I have been a Hammer fan for the last 20 years, and of late I have pursuaded a lot of my friends to buy the Black Widow. So when I decided it was time to buy a new ball I wanted something a little different. Enter the No Mercy. This ball comes with drilling instructions that show you how to drill the ball with no weight hole, and yet still achieve a highly aggressive reaction. So I drilled it exactly as the chart instructed and then bowled it on a fresh condition. I don't bowl the ball with a lot of revs, but this thing seriously made me look like Amletto Monacelli or Robert Smith. It hit the pins that sweetly that a couple of the technicians stopped to watch it as they were so impressed by how the ball rolled. As previously stated it keeps the pins nice and low, and light shots seem to throw pins all over the deck. This another super high quality release from Hammer, and you should definately check it out I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
