Hammer No Mercy Bowling Ball

Hammer Aggressive Reaction Technology (HART) - Hammer is very pleased to introduce the new Hammer Aggressive Reaction Technology (HART) core concept to the bowling industry. Developed by our team of design engineers, this radical new concept in bowling ball core design provides maximum performance without the need for exotic layouts and weight holes. It is that simple. Combining the new HART core concept and Violent Response Reactive coverstock gives the bowler more aggressive hook motion and improved hitting power. This unique core concept delivers aggressive backend reaction by placing the pin at 1:30 with the HART in the track (see Drilling #1). The No Mercy is very simple to drill. For layout purposes, please use the plastic bag as a template. 16# 15# 14# 13# 12# RG DIFF RG DIFF RG DIFF RG DIFF RG DIFF 2.50 .050 2.51 .056 2.54 .057 2.53 .055 2.60 .039 Mass Bias Rating Low

Picked this one up used, drilled basically #1 off the drill sheet, HART shifted a little farther left than I would like, but the span and pitches were identical, so just added finger inserts and was ready to go! Had my driller take it down to 1000 abralon due to heavy house shot, and the No Mercy excels on a fresh league shot. Ball will cover alot of boards, but it's the backend that impresses me the most! Find I leave more 4 pins than 10 pins once the lanes dry up, but as I've had struggle with the 10 this year, I'm not gonna complain. Light mixers send pins flying in all directions! Must clean ball after each set, but I do that with all my equipment, so no biggie. Excellent piece for the down-n-in tweener looking for hook + backend! Great job Hammer!!!

Like i said, the ball was very effective when i first got it. Out of the box this ball hooked like crazy even though i don't really throw a big hook. After about 2 weeks i noticed a drop in hook but it was still effective. After i used the ball for about 4 months it stopped hooking and i couldn't use it anymore. Other people i know have had the same problem. I struggled to throw a 550 with a 190 average so i bought a new ball. Id recommend this ball to anyone that will use it like once a week. I bowled everyday so that could be why it died so quick.

The ball has great pin action. It also has the huge hook that i was looking for. Hammer has done an excellent job with the HART core to create an amazing ball. I can even use this ball on sport leagues. The only thing that this ball has a problem with is when the lanes tend to get dry the ball may not want to hold its line. I would recommend this ball to anyone who has alot of Revs and that thinks they can control this beast....Its name says everything about the ball....It absolutely shows NO MERCY on the pins...i cant wait to but the No Mercy Beat'n

I may just have mine drilled wrong (I asked for #1 and it's not exactly as picture shows but nearly identical), but in general I've had very mixed results with this ball and I don't think it suits my style. I tend to stand on the last two arrows left and run through the 2nd arrow or between 2 and 3 out to about the 4 board. On some lane conditions this works great, but when it gets heavy oil, I have to move farther right than other bowlers no matter how hard I crank on it. I bought the ball to destroy the heavy oil and it's let me down in that department. I do maintain it and have it sanded to 2000 or 4000 box finish fairly often. I'm going to redrill it and try again, and then we'll see.<sc

My release and ball speed allow me to make use of the No Mercy's power playing down and in or swinging 10 to 5. I bought this ball used a year ago with lots of games already on it and it still has amazing hitting power. I put it away a few months ago in favor of a lighter ball and broke it out last week. I've shot series of 641, 694, and 785 in succession in leauge play. This ball has been boiled, sanded, polished and buffed dozens of times and it still works. Not for bowlers whose only game is to play the inside deep part of the lane and throw the ball with high revs.

The pin is placed bottom left corner of my right ring finger(right handed). With that being said: Ball motion and track is smooth and effortless. Super consistant break angle and pin action. Left a few 8 pins...but thats just a perfect miss! The ball looks great rolling down the lanes, the black is sleek and intimidating. It rolled as far as the oil pattern would allow, and when i needed more oil/length i just moved more left. The ball is a perfect buy for anyone looking for a top of the line - high performance ball, capable of tight angular break angles and devistating pin action.

Good ball, but it has a short life span. Have 100 games on this ball and it's been a decent ball over all. But it loses it's "punch" after that 20-30 game mark. After that point it still rolls well and hits hard, but you can't cover as many boards and the ball isn't as forgiving when you miss your target. Tried to bake the oil out of it and some came out, but the reaction wasn't any different once I took it back to the lanes. I would recommend that you clean this ball regulary.

This ball is a great match up on lanes with med heavy to heavy oil or for those who play deep inside lines. this ball can flat out hook. great in midlane and back end. this ball has kept me in contention with the best of them. this is a great addition to the bag. if you have a black widow and you need something more, this is the ball. This is one of the heaviest hooking balls i have thrown. Great compliment to the Black Widow. Hooks from wherever i play. it really shows the pins and your opponents No Mercy.

this is my first hammer and i m very impressive from the motion on the lane and the impact against the pins.It hits strong. The layout is the number 2 of the hammer layout, ideal for medium oil.I used the ball out of box, it's a sponge and i presume that the mainteinance will be very important as i read on various reviews. For the moment i tried the ball only on synthetic lanes but in few day i will test it on wood lanes. It dislike dry lanes but it s not his work. It can replace my solid uranium. I'm very satisfied.

Had one of these drilled up with the #1 layout. From what I heard if you don't go #1 layout the ball is a dud. Used this on the Scorpion pattern in a sweeper first time out without working the thumb and tape to my liking and without having any practice with it. If I make more spares I shoot high 600's instead of 630's for 3. Ball ran down nice and made a very nice hard arc\snap to the pocket. I bought this ball for regionals and don't plan on using it for house shots. I see this working for the medium and long length oil patterns we see. I cleaned his ball after the 3 game qualifier and after my match play set. I think this is a ball that if you clean it after every set and get it on a spinner to get the "bowling induced shine" off of it, you'll be fine. Touch ups with a 4000 grit abralon will keep it from being too "skid-snap" and lengthy on wood. Those going too long with less hook on synthetics should try 2000 abralon especially if the oil is longer or heavier than most shots. The

This ball is so amazing and has a lot of hook which i needed for oily lanes. Even on wet lanes i can make this ball do a 48 board hook to take out the 7 pin which i hardley leave. It looks really cool rolling down the lane and when it hits the pocket and leaves no pins is even cooler. The Pro shop Which is owned by a Larry which is in the bowling Hall of fam says that this ball dosent roll as nice as the Widow but in my opinion this ball rolls good. First few games were always over 180 and i am a 150 ave and now my ave is 170 so this is a great ball and can be used on all oil patterns you just need to take some time and learn how to throw this ball and you will love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really can't say enough about the Hammer No Mercy and Black Widow. I don't know or understand the technical jargon, but I do know how to bowl. It is easier to count the series below 700 than it is to count ones above. I purchased the No Mercy used and began rolling unbelievable scores. Then I bought the Black Widow and the two balls are the best one-two punch I have ever owned. I shot 300 games with both balls, one week apart and shot my highest series ever last sunday. No fancy release or armswing needed. My target is as wide as the lane. High flush carries just as do light hits. These balls are amazing! 764, 782, 793, 749, 750, 721, 727, series all in a six week span, and with an injured throwing arm. Need I say more?

This ball is worth every penny I paid for it. i had it drilled layout one, which is the recommended layout from hammer, and does this ball work like a charm... ive never seen so much backend and overall hook out of a bowling ball. if i hit my mark the pins are guaranteed to fall....and if i miss right this ball pulls out an amazing recovery and still finds its way back to the pocket. the best ball ive ever owned.....and ive had quite a few. the min word thing is a wast of time. just filling space just filling space just filling space

This was the first ball out of my bag for some time. Absolutely loved it. Now, I'm thinking of leaving it with the house balls. I had so much room with this ball: miss right, no worries, it comes back. Miss left, it rides the oil and whacks 'em. I felt guilty - it was criminal that it always found the hole and carried so much. But now, it just doesn't dance like it used to and the change was sudden - no backend left in it. I was religious about cleaning it and kept touching it up with a 4000 abralon pad. But the magic is gone. I'll try some polish to see if the backend reaction comes back but I'm not too confident. Too bad.

Like it, but still needed some surface to it for a USBC Open type of shot. It was the best option avaialable in my bag for Nationals considering the amount oil used there, especially on fresh oil. But after 15-20 games it didn't hook as much, even after cleaning the ball every 6 games. But I guess that's how it is with most bowling balls now-a-days. Good ball for anyone who spins it or is a tweener. But anyone who is a no thumber or has a lot of hand doesn't need this ball. It's too much for them even if it's polished.

A must have. The hardest hitting ball I've ever seen.Goes long turns left and just blows the rack apart.Does not roll out like I have seen the black widow do.Two 750's and a 800 with in the first month.Number one drilling with the factory finish thats all you need.It does pick up alot of dirt and oil so I have to clean it after ever set, but you should do that anyway. Its just great great ball.I think anyone can use a ball like this one.Hammer has really but out a fantastic ball in the NO MERCY!!!!

I'VE HAD WRIST PROBLEMS AND THIS BALL HAS BEEN JUST WHAT I NEEDED TO BE ABLE TO PLAY THE INSIDE OUT SHOT THAT I AM MOST COMFORTABLE WITH . BEST BALL I'VE OWNED SINCE THE D2Z. EXPLOSIVE POWER IN THE POCKET . I THOUGHT I HAD EVERYTHING I NEEDED IN MY STORM DEPTH CHARGE . BUT THE NO MERCY JUST BLOWS IT AWAY. IT IS GOING TO BE TOO MUCH BALL FOR A BEGINNER BUT ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A MORE AGGRESSIVE BALL THIS IS THE ONE. I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THIS OUT AT THE NATIONALS. THIS SHOULD CUT THRU THE HEAVIER OIL THERE.

This ball is one of the best heavy oilers I have. I bought a Infinite One, I thought it would move in heavy oil, that ball went straight. I said to myself, gotta get somthing better. I bought this. Shot my new high series 679. 231 237 211. I bought this ball when my release was really bad, then I went back to the basics, behind the ball, then handshake. My avg games are coming back to my normal. I can throw this ball hard with low revs and it will grab and come left. I can't wait to throw it on a fresh PBA shot in my youth tough shots tour.<scr

CRAZY BALL, This ball are very recommended,, very simple core, very simple coverstock, but hits the pocket more Powerfull and The Rotation Different from another ball... The Color make this ball looks like little dark devil through the lanes and blow up the pins 12345678910 (without any left) 11, if any.... at first, i don't like this ball,, but, after 2 games, i feel this ball is AMAZING, very NO Mercy to the pins... Hammer Have the Masterpiece,....No Mercy is Hammer Masterpiece... this ball very important to who likes strike...but more important for who never have strike... I love very very very much this ball..

THIS IS A FANTASTIC BALL FROM HAMMER. EXPEPT FOR THAT IT HATES TO BE REVED UP EARLY IT JUST BURNS UP AND SKIDS PAST THE BREAK POINT BUT NOW I HAVE ADJUSTED AND AFTER I DID THAT I THREW A 226 A 194 AND A 279 FOR A 699 SERIES WHICH ISNT TO BAD WISH IT WAS ANOTHER 700 BUT O WELL. THIS IS A GOOD SPORT SHOT BALL BECAUSE ITS NOT AS SENSITIVE TO THE BACKEND AS ITS LITTLE BROTHER THE BLACK WIDOW SO OVERALL I LOVE SHOWING THE PINS NO MERCY(EXEPT FOR A NICE SOLID 8 PIN WHICH IS ALWAYS NICE LOL)

I own two "No Mercy's" - one with the badic pattern, and the other with the trick pattern, when you absolute must throw left to right. Great ball - I gave my Black Widow to my father-in law and trashed my Vicious. This is, as stated previously, not a ball for someone who is starting out - and doon't think that if you are a spinner that this is the miracle ball for you - it isn't. You still have to have the concept of a correct toss, and understand lane conditions. What I dislike is when someone states that it wasn't "what he expected", and follows that up with he bowled two three hundred games with it. What the hell did you expect???

I loved the classic look of a black Hammer bowling ball that reminded of the old Black hammer of the 80's This ball was drilled using method number 1 aggressive. This ball skids a ton then turns very sharply on the back end and absolutely destroys the pocket ! If you can get this ball anywhere near the pocket you will strike. This ball will shred the 10 pin with unbeleavble power. Now for the bad news this ball is hard to control and has too much over and under reaction. The break point is hard to control no matter how you release it ,it is too unpredictable. I sold mine after only 8 games. If you are a mild cranker with medium ball speed I would recommend drilling this ball using the controlled arc method drilling pattern number 3
