The Hammer Black Widow has been designed to give the bowler more length and more angle at the breakpoint than any Hammer ball to date. The Black Widow features the Gas Mask core with added flip block and Hammer's new Violent Reactive coverstock to produce excellent length, strong backend and enhanced drilling versatility for a variety of bowling styles. The Engine: The Black Widow features the asymmetric Gas Mask core design with added flip block providing a High Mass Bias rating of .014. By desigining the core shape to be a High Mass Bias ball, the Black Widow will produce strong hook motion with aggressive backend. The Tiires: Hammer's Violent Reactive coverstock will give the bowler more length and stronger move on the backend. Combining the Gas Mask core shape with added flip block and the Violent Reactive coverstock produces a strong and aggressive movement at the breakpoint. Featuring the High Mass Bias Gas Mask core with flip block and Violent Reactive coverstock, the Black Widow goes long and attacks violently on the backend. There's no lane condition out there that's safe. 16# 15# 14# 13# 12# RG DIFF RG DIFF RG DIFF RG DIFF RG DIFF 2.51 .049 2.50 .060 2.49 .057 2.53 .055 2.60 .039 Mass Bias Rating High

this ball performs exactly as i thought it would. it goes a long way and then make an almost 90 degree turn toward the pocket and hits harder than any of my other equipment and makes peoples heads turn. I drilled this layout three which is supposed to produce the most amount of backend and thats what it does. this ball and to no mercy make one heck of a tag team. i would highly recommend both balls to anyone. the black widow goes farther than the no mercy and the no mercy gets about three to five more boards of over all hook. i love both balls and couldnt be happier with their performance<scr

Instead of getting the 'Widow" first, I wanted to be different and got the Infinite One. Its a great ball and all, but didnt react like I wanted it too. I stuck with it and then decided it was time to get another ball. It was time for the widow...nope, i went with the Total Inferno. That thing was weaker than the Infinite one. So i spent 200 bucks just to down grade. Got the widow and I have been happy since! Believe it or not, I broke a pin bowling with my widow. It just hit right I guess. Pretty good stuff!!

I love the way this ball carries. Even coming in high if it does not strike, it rarel leaves splits. Even when I am having trouble duplicating a good shot the ball will wold an inside line or come back if I miss right. Great ball. This ball got me excited about the sport all over again. Threw my first 300 with this ball last night after sanding it down. Both the even arc and skid snap reactions are fun to watch. I also threw my first ever 700 series with this ball. I have a cquired a tropical storm and a polyester ball and the three can cover just about any lane condition, but the first ball out is my hammer because it is the most forgiving.

This is a great first ball out of the box its over all hook is just a little less than the No Mercy but just a little more than the Toxic. The first on i had was drilled pin 43/4' from my pap and the mass bias was 4' from my pap. that layout seemed to skid just a little to much for my likes luckily the ball got chewed up in the ball return. The new one that I recieved i drilled it pin 4' from the PAP and the CG 4' from PAP (safe layout) and I get just the right amount of length and backend. The carry on this ball is great if i am anywhere near the pocket X is going on the score sheet. Purchase this ball if you are looking for somthing consistant.

Predictable break point every time. The ball is not for everyone as with other balls. I like to throw deep and this ball will do it, but not on PBA shots, it is a down and in ball on them. Long and hit strong. Good track flare..................................... I am happy with the ball. The coverstock gets lots of nicks easily. What else is there to say, you need this ball in your bag, some what versitale, but can play inside outside swing or straight, (but only down and in on PBA shots) Ball needs to be cooked in your oven at 200° for 15 minutes about every 25 games, then dowced with alcahol to clean up oil.

This ball is amazing. I went to the proshop the day the widow came out and drilled it pretty tame. (RICO) drilled it. This ball still is very strong, and predictable, this ball throws pins everywhere. I am so glad that the local pro shop owner told me to buy the widow. I picked another one up to drill it in between this and my total nv, back to the ball though, I would have to say this is the best ball hammer has had ever. I would recommend this ball for anyone, I have seen this ball played in the track area, and down the boards, great reaction either way!!! Great Job Hammer Bowling

GREAT ball, BEST I've ever thrown,,, Can use on ANY condition but flooded. Don't even carry the Hawg any more since getting this ball. Very consistant on roll / reaction. Find the line, hit the spot & you're in the pocket. Perfect ball for us noncranker down & in shooters. Pin 5" from CG drilled skid / flip seems to be the ideal layout & drilling option for us down & in types. EATS pins on almost dry (LOVE to find a dry lane with this ball some day) to nearly flooded lanes. If you can't score with this ball, you can't score.

I really love this ball in medium oily conditions. I have intentionally slowed my rhythm down with this ball to maintain a ball speed somewhere around 15mph for best results.... 4.5" pin with HMB between 45 and 60 degrees 1.5 inches right of thumbhole (between strong and skid flip layout I am a medium rev player and see this ball perform well with medium oil conditions throwing from 15 over 2nd arrow out to about 7 and in. Hits the pocket like a freight train. As the game progresses, I will move feet 2 boards and target 1 board every 3rd frame or so until my breakpoint totally dries out and I start coming in high on the headpin.....I will start seeing some 6 10's and some solid 10's at that point. I am using the ball with OOB finish and have been bowling with it for about 4 weeks. In that time, my average game has jumped to 165 from a weak 136 before my purchase. Previously I was using a Vibe Blue (which is really good for really dry conditions, but with any oil was a m

This ball is great! I bowl on my highschool team and i was on JV team Till i got this ball I throw a slow 13 mph ball My first game with this ball i bowled a 162 This ball just spins and waits till the very end and just kills the pocket I have never had a ball hit the head pin dead on and still get a strike it is great There was a lot of people who said that it would not do good with a slow thrower but that is wrong i can throw this ball on light or heavy oil and make it to the pocket if it does get dry just move to the right that is where all the oil goes to so if you are woundering about this ball it is great!

used drilling pattern #1. have not bowled under a duece with ball yet. that is using it in two different houses, and including practicing. my favorite is the wood approach and synthetic lanes at the Northern lights bowling center in Petoskey,MI. last series 753. love reaction start around 15 out to 3 goes long and turns hard. also very predictable ball takes guess work out and installs confidence. want to buy a hand full of Widows just to have so when they stop making them i will have one to use for a while. I LOVE THIS BALL MAN!!

Strong Layout, 75 Mass Bias 4 inch pin. May does this thing pack a wallop. It is a skid-flip ball as much as i have ever seen, even more than my equation. I had to play 2 on the sport shot i shot on. Just a note: this ball is not made to swing it. I tried and it skids too much and you need to throw it too slow, and I'm a high rev player. If you could imagine packing the power of an airplane going at the speed of light packaged in a bowling ball that would be it. At first, it looks like it's gonna be hydroplaning, but it grabs at the last second and turns on a 45 degree angle. It covers so many boards over so little time its scary. It was freshly drilled and the only thing i really didnt like was that i had to wipe it off every 2-3 balls. This is a powerful ball that must be harnessed and you will never hit light or have crappy split leaves. A must have from hammer. This is my first ball other than Track, whom i have had success with, but this is looking much stronger than they have eve

I bought this ball to replace a dying Paradigm and a spent Big One. Lately when I run into heavy oil conditions those balls would die completely, even on medium conditions the finishing power is not there. Right out of the box the ball is very powerful yet I made my adjustments to the pockets pretty easy. It has all of the finishing power I expected and then some. It has a nice smooth roll through the heads, goes very straight and when I say an abrupt left turn when it hits the dry that's an under statment. The ball was some $37 than The Big One I almost rebought, I'm glad they were out of stock/discontinued as this ball is going to perform well for me. I managed a 683 series with it 2nd time out and that was with a few splits thrown in while getting use to the ball. I'd rebuy this ball in a heart beat, when I have $ I might buy 1 or 2 more for reserves it's that good.

borrowed this ball from my roommate, 14lb, most aggressive hooking drill pattern. 656 out of the gates. was amazed at the break from the 1board. More backend than anything in my bag so i had to get one for myself. House has the lane protectors and tends to wear a dull mark in the ball quickly. Might take alot of upkeep, but it is well worth it for the reaction this ball has in medium oil. Dryer shots, this ball works great for the big wheel shot. Sweet color and design for the label. Great ball for rev players, spinners beware
