This is a good ball for longer patterns if you can put hand in the ball. when there is oil down the lane it mellows out a lot but still rools up and hits like a champ. I was shooting in my sport shot league playing 12 to 5 and scoring while everyone else on my lane was throwing the No Mercy. The infinite one and the Beat'n and rolling up harder then all of them. If you stroke the ball you will have to get a light pattern cuz the ball flips and it flips hard. If the lanes are a little burnt dont waste your time with it. You cant make this ball roll out or throw it too hard.

If you are on light to medium oil patterns this ball is lights out. Mine is drilled to skid/flip, the back end can be vicious at times. It never seems to lose it's energy but you better not miss left or you'll pay for it. Once you experience heavier oil ball speed is a big problem. Too little and it will take off, too much and it will sail without recovering or if it does it's wash out city. For the price and what it can offer on the right condition it's worth having in the bowling bag. This ball has great potential to put large scores up but it also has potential to leave a lot of splits. Be prepared to switch to another ball when the lanes change.

I had this ball drilled with the smooth arc layout. Pin under ring finger with cg kicked out a bit and the HMB is below the thumb. I will normally use this ball on house shots when oil is light, medium and sometimes heavy. If the lanes are light, it is best to play the lanes using the third arrow. If the lanes are about medium, it is best to play about straight up 2nd arrow. If the lanes are heavy, I would suggest using the regualr Black Widow, but if you don't have one, use the Black Widow Pearl and play it straight up somewhere between 1st and 2nd arrow. I have average, maybe above average revs. I throw the ball on average between 16-17 mph, but I can speed it up a little if I need to. If you have the original Black Widow, go out and get the Black Widow Pearl. Once again this proves that "Nothing hits like a Hammer!"

This ball hits like a truck. It has some massive pin action. Hooks a ton. I threw on fresh oil toay and it took 1 game for me to find a line then I shot a 227 and 206 in the next 2 games and I only carry a 175 average. I can't wait to bowl with it Monday in league, it oughta be awesome. The only thing that I don't like about this ball is that it tends to leave splits if you go too high because it goes through the pins so hard and fast. Other than that I love the ball.

love it!!!! this ball goes longer than the original widow. It is just a little longer than my total nv but comes back with the vengance of the original. It snapped so hard on the backend that i checked to see if it really was a pearlized ball! Would recomend this ball to any one who bowls. crankers and full rollers. This ball will hook for anyone. I had anticipated this ball since the anouncment and boy was it worth the wait. I am amazed at how hard this ball snaps on the back end. For a pearl this thing is brutal. I can wait for the nvS to come out. Ebonite/Hammer are onto something good.<scr

I purchased this ball last week, bowled 299 in league and multiple 279's in practice. Ball skidded at first for me, used a green scotch brite pad and that did it. I'm a down and in player hitting around 8-10. This ball comes back from nowhere, don't play it tight, give it room to move. The pins get destroyed, blown off the deck. I've purchased many balls in the last year, all of them top end and this is the best bye far. I'm averaging 230 + since I've owned it. I move 1-2 boards throughout the night, it reads the lanes well and doesn't over-react. It seems the faster you throw it, the harder it hits the pins. Thanks Hammer!

The ball is amazing. I drilled two and Im thinkin on how i want to drill a third. i have one drilled with the pin 5 inches from my axis and the mass bias 2 inches from the thumb the ball reads the mid lane and turns the corner hard. Once it turns it doesnt stop. The second one i drilled with the pin over my ring finger and the mass bias 2 inches again the ball went alot cleaner through the heads and strong arc through the back. Hit like a ton of bricks tho. The ball carrys amazing. Great one two punch for the solid. The solid still hooks more overall but the pearl is more versatile

I had been waiting for the release of this ball since I first threw the original. I am a big fan of the Black Widow Solid so I knew this would be a good ball choice for me. We got this in Tuesday and I proceeded to drill two of these so I could get a good read on the ball. The first one I drilled had a pin of 3" to 4" and a top weight of 3.25 oz. I drilled it with the pin above the bridge and the mass bias about 1 1/2" from my thumb hole. I took it out to the lanes along with a solid that I had just drilled the same way to see what kind of difference I would get. The Pearl was was about 4 to 5 feet longer than the solid but made a much sharper turn at the break point. The Pearl also outhooked the Solid by a tota l of about 4 or 5 boards. When this ball really shinned was when the lanes started to carry down a little. When the Solid started to squirt a little in the carry down, the Pearl still made a great move to the pocket. The carry was identical to the Solid which for
