Ebonite Xcel Pearl Bowling Ball

(5 reviews) Write a Review

The Xcel Pearl is extremely strong in the backend, thanks to the use of Ebonite’s ChromaFlair technology. ChromaFlair is proven to yield stronger backend motion than standard pearl veneers and when it comes to the Xcel Pearl, it’s an investment worth making. The Xcel Pearl is Red, Green and Blue ChromaFlair and is best suited for medium and short patterns.

I can't say enough about how much i like this ball all it does is roll smoothly and i haven't had any problems with it in the least. I like the lack of sound it makes going down the lanes. I'm not the smoothest roller out there but this ball makes me feel that way. It's drilled to do a constant hook but in the normal patterns i have been bowling on the ball hooks perfectly with a great backend. Just let the ball do it's thing and it will hit the pocket with all kinds of force and you will be amazed at your score.

Ebonite finally came out with a great bowling ball line with the Xcel line. The ball reads the lanes very well . It recovers very nicely and hits the pins like a bat out of hell. I love the way the ball reacts looks and carries. Finally a winner from Ebonite. I have owned five Ebonites bowling balls now, and hated them all, that is until the Xcel particle and pearl came out. I know I will have lots af great scores with these balls in the future. Can't wait for the XXXcel to be released. ebonite kepp making balls like these.

I don't know if its the ball or the lanes or the way my pro shop guy set it up but I am not real impressed with the pearl , I had the particle xcel and gave it to my son , it was great .I am going to try the pearl again but I think we might set it up a little different .I love ebonite eqiupment ,its all I own .I hope I can make this ball work . the thing I don't understand is this ball has the same core as the particle ball and the reaction was so different ,I mean this thing is supposed to have 9.8 breakpoint out of 10 and it even breaking 2.0

Yet again, i edit, now that i am throwing this ball correctly this ball is actually very good, still a little iffy but opens the lanes right up. When it does catch the back ends, it does hook, and i mean hook, like a nice eaven roll. On the right condition this ball will do exactly what it is drilled to do. This is a great ball for light oil and if you want to play inside. I prefer to play straight up, but i can play anypart of the lane, so inside isn't hard for me, and this ball proves it isn't with high strike percentage. at first this ball is very weak just because of the shine ebonite puts on it, but just throw about 10-20 games on it and it will grip and rip the lane and pins. The ball has pin up, and the cg is kicked out, i believe the top weight is 2 oz. There is a weight hole.<

This ball is a must have.It works great with many different shots. It hits hard and gets great carry. The ball may be expencive at your local house but if you go to a ball demo or get it online you can get it pritty cheap......I would definetly spend the money . This ball is definely a must buy.I Have only been bowlin for two years and have been able to shoot two 300's, 299, 290 , 280, and many 279's but would have not been able to do any of this with out ebonite balls !!! If you live in the New York area I highly going to Smithtown Bowling alley to get your balls drilled. He not only drills balls great but will give you great deal. aNick the owner is also part the Ebonite team
