To clear up something first. These were not blems, they were just a model for Kmart and sold regionally in certain Kmarts in the early 1990s, typically higher volume stores that could warrant more bowling stuff. I originally bought this ball in 1994 at a Kmart that was closing for $20 which was pretty darn cheap for a sanded ball back then. I played around with it as I bowled primarily at a bowling center using old wooden lanes at the times (it was completely revamped for a tournament a few years ago). It's positively useless to try and throw strikes with it. It has no hook to speak of unless you crank it or want a straight tracking shot to the pocket. I set it aside for a few years because I had little luck with it only to pull it out about 15 years ago to realize its sole potential, a spare ball. I'm glad I did. It tracks so perfectly straight on virtually any type of lane condition it is like picking the pins off at a shooting range. It's helped my game immensely simply be the fact I can so confidently place the shots. There is no worry about it doing anything except going precisely where thrown. If I ever see one pop up somewhere undrilled I'm buying it without hesitation.
