Ebonite Timberwolf Bowling Ball

Exceeding our other Wolf balls was no small challenge. Then our engineers dropped the bomb on us: a revolutionary core design that uses a small weight within the core to create the ball’s offset mass bias (or b.o.m.b., for short). By placing the bias in different directions from the pin, you can fine-tune the angle of the breakpoint and backend hook style. In fact, after choosing the pin position, you can match up the ball’s rev rate and hood motion with your playing style and lane condition.

Why simply knock over the pins, when you can make them explode? That's the question our engineers asked when they set out to develop our new BOMB technology, a revolutionary core design that uses a small weight within the core to create the Ball's Offset Mass Bias (or BOMB, for short). By placing the bias in different directions from the pin, you can literally fine-tune the angle of the breakpoint as well as your backend hook. In fact, after choosing the pin position, you can match up the ball's rev rate and hook motion to your particular playing style and the lane condition you're bowling on.

This breakthrough advance in ball design can be found in several of our championship balls. Our Timberwolves, for example, with a mass bias four time stronger than any standard pin-out or other offset ball, offer an unprecedented range of ball motion and enhanced predictability. The kind that helps make strong layouts even stronger, and control layouts even more precise.

Of course, the BOMB is only one example of Ebonite technology at work. You'll also benefit from MegaBite™ Super Tack II reactive veneer, for more energy control at the breakpoint as well as more backend consistency. These are our Championship balls, after all. Let there be no doubt that we've done everything possible to make certain they live up to the name.

I HAVE HAD THIS BALL FOR ABOUT SIX YEARS NOW AND IT IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVER THROWN. HAVE CARRIED OVER 220 WITH IT MULTIPLE TIMES AND IS STILL MY FAVORITE BALL TO GO TO ON LONG OIL PATTERNS. I CURRENTLY AM CARRYING A LANE 1 GOLD NUGGETT, ULTIMATE INFERNO, RED ALERT DANGER ZONE, AND THIS BALL. TIMBERWOLF GIVES ME THE BEST OVERALL REACTION OF ALL OF THESE AND CARRIES FROM ALMOST ANY ANGLE OF ENTRY I TRY TO PLAY IT FROM. OVER THE PAST SIX YEARS I HAVE DRILLED AT LEAST 30 BALLS TRYING TO REPLACE THIS BALL BECAUSE IT HAS ABOUT 400 GAMES ON IT AND HAVE YET TO FIND SOMETHING THAT GIVES ME A COMPARABLE PERFORMANCE. IF YOU CAN FIND ONE YOU WOULD BE REMISS TO PASS UP ON DRILLING IT. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

This Can be a good Ball, Im really a newbie at bowling been doing it for about 3 months and have a 160 average, I dont have much money so this is my 1, 2, and 3 game ball. When lanes are wet i throw down and in and it brings me strikes, I have yet to figure out what to do when the lanes are medium but on dry lanes i move over and start throwing a semi swinging hook. I cant really tell you how good the ball is though cause everyone has the differences.....But i like the ball

This ball wasn't really a mistake to buy because it has great accuracy for spares but I purchased it as a strike ball. Well in order for it to smash some pins it has to be exactly in the pocket. Very unforgiving if not. But it can be flattened real nice to pick up corner pins and this ball alone has really improved my game just because of spare shooting. Not the ball you'd want if you needed just one ball but if you had spare cash it would be a good bet. I'm sure it will be in my lineup for a few more years to come.
