The reason that I got this ball was because it came highly recommended espically for the way that I throw the ball so I got the exact spec that was suggested and the ball worked great for about 4 weeks. I have to admit that in the begining I was impressed I had stayed away from ebonite because of how it rolled for me. I was able to get 3 700 sets and a 299 game then I donot know what happened but the ball died. I tried everything resurfacing did not help and the hook agian did nothing either. I am a pro-shop operator and lately I have gotten alot of compliants about the one and people having the same problem. It kinda reminds me of the problems that people were having with the TPC Shooter once the coverstock died there was no use for it execpt for a gian paper wieght.

I am a die hard Storm user, but hearing, and seeing, this ball tear up the PBA tour, I had to try it. This is my new "go to ball." Bought it off ebay used, should have bought one sooner. I've played around 15 games on it and still haven't thrown a bad game with it. I'm able to play areas (20 board to 5) where my Vertigo used to go before it died. The cover is very easy to maintain, unlike the Vertigo or Paradigm where they track oil and dirt at a high rate. This ball is making think twice about going from Storm products back to Ebonite.<s

The One is an incredible medium-heavy oil ball that hits and carries with a predictable reaction. I had mine drilled with the pin and CG moved to the right of the holes. When I bought it, I had a 165 average, but within a dozen games I had bowled a 256 and averaged about 195. That went back down to 170, but I still really liked it. Like any stong ball, it sometimes would leave 9-pins. A problem I found was that the cover was high-maintenence. It absorbed oil so quickly that it would burn out in a few weeks, and need cleaning. I helped it by leaving the ball in the sun for 15 or 20 minutes, then wiping the oil off, then turning it. After each time I did this, it would return to killing the pins. This is a ball that can do great things in the hands of a practiced bowler, but for someone learning to bowl, like I was, the cover most likely will be dead before you can get it to do great things.

i received my one 2 weeks ago. at first right out of the box it was working great. but then after the ball started to pick up oil it started to die and lose power. then after 2 games it regained its power and this ball is hooking more than it was out of the box.using it my second week i bowled a 188 which was right on average for me then the second game i bowled a 230 and by the 3rd game i had a reliable target line. and i threw 9 strikes in a row to start off the next game i ended up with a 279 which is my second highest game ever. my overall high was 285 which i rolled with a brunswick inferno. but i have a feeling that i will do a lot better with this ball. had the ball plugged and redrilled three times in a 6 game span to ebonite specs, with input from an ebonite ball rep. Each time the ball did the same thing. could not get the ball to move at the back end. I thought that the ebonite showtime was the worst ball I ever had, but this one takes the cake by far. Finally ebonite stopped contacting the proshop, and my calls to ebonite cust. service are ignored. I'll never purchase ebonite equiptment again. went back to morich awesome flip, the ball works tremendous!!!!!!!! Had many conversations with Richard Jacobson from ebonite he was very helpful, but as soon as it got out of his hands ebonite dropped the ball. So now i'm left with a $250.00 ball that's not even good for a paper weight.

The one is a great ball. although i believe that you should play what the lanes are giving you the one creates a very large area. although because of its cover it might go longer than expected. still a great ball.. please check my review of the infinite one after july 14 i had it drilled out the box aggressive so on friday after bowling i'll give it to you straight.. i feel if this ball is anything like its counter balls i expect this ball (the infinite one) to work magic.....if not theres always GOLF. but im not a big tiger woods fan but i love the game and i love the challenge

I actually love having this ball on the right lanes. I think that lately the biggest problem that I have had is with the lanes. When I first started with the ball it worked so good that i could play any line, but the house that I bowl leagues in put the heaters on the oiler, but never reset it to put less oil out on the lanes, and hardly stripped the back ends. We started having trouble with balls not returning due to the oil on them. Just lately the owner of the alley (David) got enough complaints to change the oiler. When i took the ball to other houses it worked better for me, but it takes a very strong hand to get a good reaction and pin action.

Wow I was skeptical at first of the out of the box surface. I thought that 4000 grit was going to be way to fine, and go down the lane too far. I was wrong, I can play anywhere on the lane and create angles with this ball. I never had a ball where I can slide 30+ and throw it out to 10-5 and have it come back and not hit this hard. usually a lot of balls roll out and hit flat in the pocket, this one hits like a monster from every place possible. For the longest time I never seen any "improvment" on the past 5 years of bowling. Particl, resin, all different types of balls. They all felt similar. This is the first ball where I feel there was an actual evolution in technology. Great, Great Ball

excellent ball, well worth the money. keep it off the dry lanes or it will act like a blue dot right to the ten pin. as long as it hits the pocket, it will score very well for you. not as forgiving as my strike zone, but better than the storm paradaigm passion. the only thing that concerned me was the fact that it tracked very fast, and a lot of nicks and scratches appeared in the first game or two. medium to heavy oil, keep it on the second arrow and it will help correct any small errors. if it starts to miss the pocket doing this, its time to put it away & grab a cross fire or somethign tamer like that. also, has anyone heard if ebonite is working to correct the cracking between the finger holes??

Been throwing Brunswick for the past year. Was looking for a new ball and this ball was recommended to me. I do not have much luck with Ebonite in the past but after reading some very positive review from members here, so decided to get it. And no regrets, this must be the best Ebonite ball I have ever purchased. It is a very versatile ball with extremely explosive backend. I am a power stroker with decent ball speed. I used to stroke it up the boards but found that I get better results by playing this ball on the inner lane. Would recommend this ball to anyone that is looking for a good solid ball.

I hated this ball at first. It was very squirty and extremely speed sensitive. I left the worst splits imaginable. A perfect shot would strike, usually. A light hit would leave a wash out and a high hit would leave a split. The break point was just erratic. I took it to the pro shop and they sanded it to 1200. It worked a little better, but still squirrelly. I took it back again and they sanded it to 800. I'm finally getting some consistency out of it now. Even sanded it doesn't break too early and has a good back end. I'm looking forward to getting the Big One.

This ball rocks! I have alot of hand but it is all forward roll so i didnt have the problem of the squirtish reaction the all of the people on here were complaining about. I wish i would have gotten another one to lay out a little bit weaker than this one so once the lane had dried out i could just switch to anouthe "the one". The carry on this ball is absolutely amazing, i have never seen better. What is not to like about this ball. I can hit the pocket in just about any place (light of heavy), and hit it and any angle and still strike. This ball makes the game so easy. Once you start leaving 4 pins you know that it is time to put this ball away, because there realy isnt a way to work around the bad carry

the fact that i am 13 years old and shot 300 with THE ONE should tell you that i like it.this is a very versitle ball. the hitting power is emense. the one is a ball with very strong backend. it is very clean through the heads and has a strong backend move. depending on how it is drilled the reaction will be different (obviously) . my one is drilled with the pin above the fingers and the CG is slightly kicked out. there are only two things that are bad about the one,one it is a little squirty and two it soaks up oil fast. i have had it for three months and already got it rejuvinated two times so keep it clean.

This is the greatest ball i have ever owned. i hear stories about this ball dying out after a few games, but i have thrown mine about 70 game and this thing hooks just like it was brand new. i left it in ths box condition and its still the strongest ball ever i think. havent shot huge with it yet but its coming i can feel it. its amazing how many of these balls you see on the rack in every league. one of my buddies owns 3 of them all drilled different. all in all this ball has changed my outlook of ebonite equiptment. cant wait to get the big one.

I have to say this ball ranks up there with the greats such as the Danger Zone, the Combat Zone, the 3D Offset, and the Deuce. The ball is very forgiving from what I've seen. Once you find your spot, this ball is the one you will want in your bag for every tournament and league. Most balls track out when playing a deep inside line but this ball doesn't know the meaning of that. You can play many angles with it and you will get the same hitting power by making some very small adjustments in hand position. I'm thinking of buying a second one for when and IF this one ever dies. THIS BALL WILL CERTAINLY GO DOWN IN HISTORY.

    I really like this ball I just dont like how it got drilled. It was suppose to be the long and strong but it hooks up alittle early with not really much back end. I think I am going to sell the one I have now or plug and redrill. Something. I really like the power this ball has I just think mine got drilled wrong. xx x x x x x x x x x x xx x xx x xx x x x x x x x x x xx x x xxxx x x x x x x x x x x x x x x xx x x x x x xx x x x x x xx x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x xx x x x xx x x x x x xx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<scr

Havent bought ebonite in a while, but this ball changed my entire outlook in a company. I had my ONE drilled to go long and snap. Out of the box being 4000 polished, the ball allows me to go coast to coast. In the past month if having it, i have bowled several 700's , a shitload of 650+'s, and my first series over 800 which was an 824 using this ball. The ball hits like an animal, I have never thrown a ball with this much power and torque. It is a very consistant ball, doesnt overreact really that much. But I will say if it's dry, put it away. Even though its so shiny out of the box, sometimes it can be very or too powerful off the the extreme dry. I shot 824 in less than amonth using this ball, need I say more? Go out and get "one" , u will not be disappointed!!!!

Went to 2 Ebonite Demo Days. Both had an oilier house shot than I normally see. The one also had a sport shot and a house shot with carry down. Tried ball on all 4 different lane conditions. It squirted on all of them. My home house is drier and it may work on that shot. So far, I am not impressed with the reaction of this ball! With my higher than average rev rate, I thought it should hook at some point. I had a good reaction with my Apex Obsession on the oilier conditions and my Blade Pearl on the fresh house shot.
