The ball was my fathers from the early 70's or late 60's. He gave it to me in 1980 and I have been using it ever since. After 40 years of use, the ball chipped for the first time last week. (Aug. 2006) Should note that my bowl is Maxim 4 without Supreme logo. When bowling a straight ball, the Maxim goes where you're aiming. Hits the pocket hard and will cause allot of pin action for a straight ball. As with many balls which are thrown straight, there is a tendency to leave the 5 pin. Ball will hook when properly thrown on wood. But this is an old ball best for bowling straight. Not sure of it's history and would welcome more information on the ball.
