The ball has a very calm transition, but does not quit. I have owned this ball for over 2 years and I will continue to resurface and throw it in tournament competition. This ball will burn on light oil, but will dominate on medium oil. I use this ball sanded at 1000, to cure my problems with Wet/Dry Synthetic surfaces. I have 2 300's and multiple 750+ with this ball. Mine is a 1" pin, drilled basically over the label. If you can find one- GRAB IT!!! This ball was/is a very good ball for the price.
