Ebonite Stinger 2-piece Sanded Bowling Ball

(5 reviews) Write a Review

The best entry-level performance reactive line in the market just got better. By using the predictable power of the Mega-Bite™ Super Tack Plus coverstock (same as the Tidal Wave Wipeout), the Stinger 2-Piece Sanded provides more “bite” into the oil, not out of your wallet. Sanded with 800 grit, faster ball speeds and those who bowl on heavier oiled lanes will benefit from the added power of the 2-Piece Sanded. The elliptical shaped core provides a predictable transition at the breakpoint and through the pins.

I got this ball for free from a friend and plugged and redrilled it to lay off and polished it for dryer lanes. Well, I can't exactly use it on dry lanes because this ball hooks a ton. I pulled it out in the second game of league about 5th frame and played around 15 to 5 with some forward roll and the ball went long and flipped right to the pocket. It didn't have a sharp flip but a more readable flip with a ton of power behind it. I ended up finishing that game with 237 and the last game I opened in the tenth blowing a 279 and only shooting 246. Overall so far it is a really smooth rolling ball and definitely not a dry lane ball

Got this ball from my best friend, for a trade for a 3 ball bag, and it already fits, so i used it on 38 feet, and it aint bad, well the day after i get it, i shoot 213,212,and 236..for a 661(YEAH!) well im gonna get my other balls drilled for non-finger-tips, and we'll see how my progress is goin, but yeah, definatly a keeper. I played the space between the 1 & 2 arrows on the right side throwin it up and thru, so yeah, this ball is recommended for anyone. Oh yeah...make sure to sand it..<scrip

I went into my pro shop asking for one of the most aggressive early rolling reactive balls made. I'm thinking vortex II or maybe one of the new hammers. He's been telling me about the Black Stinger for a year and he brought this ball up yet again. I finally took his word since he knows my game really well and always seems to be right! We drilled the ball up with the cg on pap and the pin about 2.5 inches from pap. The stinger's a monster! It hooks early and doesn't roll out. It is easy to read and the carry is very good. This ball is easily the strongest reactive I've ever thrown. How can this be entry level? Very very STRANGE. GREAT BALL GREAT PRICE!!!!!!!!

This ball is a major surprise to me. I drilled it label-leverage to give me a different look that my other skid-snap stuff. Pin was out 3-4in. and ball had 3 1/4oz topweight. Drilled with pin beside ring finger and cg in palm, just below midline. Ball ended up with no side and 3/4oz thumbweight so I had to add a hole to get rid of the thumbweight. put a 1in. hole just above the val in the lower thumb quadrant, leaving me at zero finger and 1/2oz negative side. This ball is now very smooth and can be used until the lanes are fried just by moving and following the oil line. Started out playing my feet on 25, throwing over 12 out to 5 and just smashing the rack. As the night progressed, all I did was move my feet and follow the oil. Ended the night standing 35, throwing over 18 out to 12 and still mangling the pins. This ball is a lot stronger than most think it would be and probably gets overlooked. I would not recommend this drill unless you like to hit the ball but I think this

When I got this I gambled. Wanted a ball that is smooth yet powerful. Got it, Pin is right under ring finger, I like this one a whole lot, I believe this ball is overlooked by people wanting a med-heavy oil ball. Threw this one on a fresh house shot, 38 feet of oil with backends that were not flying but moving just a little. This ball hits very well but I think if you dont use Clean and dull on this coverstock it could soak up oil at an alarming rate but besides that this is a Winner from Ebonite, I dont throw Ebonite balls but I do now with this one. Im a Storm man if you will, But the Stinger has filled a gap in the arsenal. I want to compare the smoothness of this ball to a Night Hawk. Very strong like that one was. Hope this helps, Take Care......................
