I am really impressed. It has strong continuous backend. It must have burned heads and fried backend for great backend reaction. This ball will work for high rev players who need control and predictable ball reaction.A smooth transition with pretty tame reaction is what the Stinger is all about. For more early rolling action I would dull up the surface of the ball.Ebonite has been making some great balls the last couple of years and I'm really coming to appreciate the versatility in the Ebonite ball line.I hope this review helps and you take my advice.

I would have to say I bought this ball on a recommendation from a friend and he absolutely loved his. This ball was bought for a late in the night ball to use when the lanes began to dry up. I've only thrown it about 10 times and I can already tell that this ball hooks a ton. I clean my balls everytime before I bowl in a tournament or league. I wouldn't use this to much when the lanes are oily I had major problems keeping it where I wanted it. I have it drilled straight up and It still hooks a lot.

this ball is great. one of my favorites to use. on oily lanes, take the ball out farther to the guttter, on drier lanes, bring it in closer to the head pin. this ball has great hook on it. this is the best ball for beginners. this ball is a deadly weapon if used right. another great ball made by ebonite that i would suggest for beginners is the thunderbolt m/d (urethante). that's the ball i started off with. this ball is cheap and has lots of bite into the lanes. i've used other 2-piece pearl balls (reactive resin and urethane), but they don't hook as good as this.

Well, I drilled this ball up a couple of weeks ago, and haven't thrown it that much up until last night. The layout on this ball was the pin above my fingers on the grip line and the CG swung out a 1/2" on the negative side. I used this layout for extreme dry and to give me a lot of control. I started the night with the X-Calibur Legend, and had a great shot, but going into the 3rd game, the lanes started to burn and I was getting too much reaction out of the X-Calibur. I went to the Stinger 2-piece, and moved back to my original starting position for the night, and threw the front 5. I was able to lay the ball down in the dry and still get the ball down the lane, with the controlled reaction that I was looking for when it made the move. I didn't have to worry about the hard drive to the pocket with this layout. On a scale of 1-10, I would give this ball a 6. Why so low? Because with the way I drilled the ball, it will only be usable for extreme dry and spare shooting. I th
