THIS BALL IS AMAZING I NEVER HAVE BAKED IT AND ITS STILL AGRESSIVE. MY FAVORITE SPORT SHOT BALL. IT HAS SMOOTH ROLL AND VERY SMOOTH BACKEND REACTION. VERY NICE TRANSITION IN PATTERNS ESPECIALLY IN TOURNEMENTS WHEN I DONT WANT TO MOVE UNLIKE WITH MY REALLY SNAPPY BALLS. THIS BALL HAS GREAT CARRY FOR A EVEN BALL IT JUST EXPLODES THE POCKET IT MAKES MY POCKET LIKE 5 FET WIDE AND IF I CLIP THE HEAD PIN I CAN BE ASSURED IT WILL CARRY MUST GET BEFORE THEY ARE NOT AROUND I JUST GOT THIS ONE USED FOROM MY DAD.D

THIS BALL WAS DRILLED UP FOR A TOURNAMENT SHOT PATTERN BY ED SELIGA, SELIGA'S PRO SHOP IN KENOSHA, WI. ON DAY ONE WITH THIS BALL JUST OUT OF THE BOX I SHOT A 906 FOR 4 GAMES AND LED THE FIELD BY OVER 50 PINS. DAY TWO I LED THE FIELD BY BETTER THAN 60, WHICH HELPED ME EARN THE FIRST SEED POSITION. I WENT ON TO WIN THE TITLE MATCH 227-221. THIS BALL ALONE GAVE ME AN ADVANTAGE THAT NO ONE ELSE HAD AND ITS FINAL ZIP TO THE POCKET IS SOMETHING THAT IM NOT USE TO. USUALLY I GET THE EVEN ROLL WITH GRADUAL HOOK. THIS BALL HAD EARLY ROLL AND A POWERFUL MOVE TO THE POCKET. OVER ALL, IM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE BALL AND PLEASED THAT EBONITE WARRANTIED THEIR 15 LB BIG TIME OF MINE THAT CRACKED.<sc

I BOUGHT THIS BALL WHEN I WAS STRUGGLING WITH BRUNSWICK I BOUGHT THE ULTIMATE INFERNO,THE ABSOULUTE INFERNO,SMOKIN INFERNO, STRIKE ZONE, VAPER ZONE BUT CAME UP EMPTY THIS BALL IS SIMILAR TO THE OLD APEXS WHICH I LIKED IT REVS UP FAST AND ROLLS SMOOTH AND HITS HARD USALLY EXEPT WHEN IT GETS LAZY AND ROLLS OUT. BUT THIS STARTED TO HAPPEN AS IT GOT OLDER WHICH I EXPECTED OTHERIWSE SOLID BALL AND I'M HAPPY TO SAY GO EBONITE AND STILL I STAND BRUNSWICK IS GARBAGE......................I HATE THIS 100 WORD CRAPFDNNKLFNFLKNGFD GKLFDNGFKLD GKLFDNGKLDF GKLDF GKLDFNBKDF BLKFBFKB KLF KLDFNVDFLKJFDLJGERLGJL

If you do your part the ball does it's. Plain and simple EBONITE BIG TIME balls thrown outside of target rebound quite well and end up producing strikes. Particle balls from past experience hold up for hundreds of games. With this new ball, I have only about 9 games on it, and my goal is to always wipe it off with alcohol after every use. I have a 15 lb BIG TIME with about 400 games on it, seriously. It still hooks and carries well leaving minimal 7 pins. I use a grey scotch brite pad and scuff the surface every couple of weeks and it works like it's new.

I recently have gone back to this ball as a result of my backyard bully dying. I immediately noticed that my average of 220-225 shot up. Get this. I average 60-65 percent strikes per game. With this ball the 7 pins are being carried and found myself averaging 235-240. I honestly couldn't believe it. I always get print outs from the bowling centers and pick apart the games I bowled. I find my faults and conclude that I leave a ton of 7 pins. If I carried more 7's, I would average better and if I could stay split free, I would be in 7th heaven. Well, this ball answered my prayers! I can't wait to have my brand new 16lb Big Time drilled for these conditions in league play. If I keep up this average I'll be able to go pro! For this past couple months without using this ball I have dealt with 220 averages and frustrations with leaving 7 pins, thinking that I've become increadibly accurate, keeping my balance, and following through properly, and I just couldnt carry. Well I've

This ball makes up for any poorly placed shot is fast to recover and not so forgiving when you miss inside your arrow. This ball hits like a cement truck driving through a farm field full of chickens. Get out of the waaaaay! This ball sucks up oil. So i put it into a 150 degree oven for 30 min. wash it off with soapy rag and keep repeating until the ball is dry. I then took it out of the oven and let it cool down. Then I went and had it polished at the bowling alley by the machine, 4 bucks. The balls still has the same action and will last longer! I HAVE NO DISLIKES ABOUT THIS BALL.....THATS WHY I HAVE THREE OF THEM. ALL LAYED OUT DIFFERENTLY 15 LB, AND 2 - 16LBERS. This ball is responsible for my bowling average sky rocketing up to the 220- 224 range! Awesome!

If this ball was 14 pounds I would still gladly use it until it is too old. But looking at it, it is only 10 pounds I just give it to my sister. I love the curve of it but not too much of it after my sister uses it because it is covered in oil for some reason. She throws it straight at the pins no curve at all. Is that why it picks up so much Oil? Because I really would like to teach her how to curve like me. I am not too good myself since I only bowled for 1 year in league. I have 3 balls right now, and am getting another. My problem is the one when to curve it enough. I am working on it all my best.

I got this ball right before last years summer league. I used it all summer on the sport shot. Seemed to have a real good early roll , I used it up the 5 board all summer. I think it would be great on med oil short patterns, even some heavy short patterns. I have a ton of ball speed so its hard for me to judge for other people. I hate the min word thing wish they would change it I hate the min word thing wish they would change it I hate the min word thing wish they would change it Just got my second one of these after selling my other one, drilled this one negative with the pin right between and below my fingers and the CG just above and to the left of my thumb. Ball is great very smooth and readable just rolls. Very nice

The Ebonite Big Hit Particle is just what it's named. It hit's hard with lots of pin action, has a super strong move to the pocket and carries excellent. I throw a stroker type ball most of the time. The ball is drilled very aggressive. On heavy oil I slow down, lay it out by first arrow and watch it do it's thing. On med oil did not like the balls reaction, it was very hard to keep it under control and on dry I loved it. I could speed up to max revs & speed and it was devastating on all but the worst throws. I do get the occasional ten pin left with it, but with my style I tend to get them even more with most balls.

First off this review is very late. Anyway, I used this ball in a local sport pattern tournament. Most bowlers had to play dead straight, at first I did the same thing but then remembered that I had this ball in the bag and I didnt use it yet. This ball allowed me to play inside 21-15 giving me the chance to avoid the carrydown and spotty track. This ball drove so hard on the backend that I had 10 pins and 7 pins flying out of the deck! All and all I shot 300 on the tournaments most difficult shot.

This ball isn't what I expected. I first saw Tommy Jones use this ball on TV, and I had to get it. When I first got it, it was an awesome ball, but it died out quickly. I've got this ball loaded up to the max for USBC regulation. I've had the ball for about 10 months and I've had to bake it twice already. I only bowl in one league, and occasionally open bowl once a week. I have to constantly keep it sanded or it's useless for me. Even then, it still doesn't finish as good as it used to. Leaves alot of 9's and 10's. This ball is the least versitle ball I have owned, and I am a big fan of Ebonite. I would definatly NOT recommend ever polishing this ball. I tried it and realized then why it came sanded out of the box.

I decided to get this ball after I saw Tommy Jones throw it on T.V. My dad bought it for me while we were in baton Rouge for Nationals. I bowl at 2 main houses, Pla-Mor Lanes in Dayton, Ohio and at Xenia Community Lanes in Xenia, Ohio. Pla-Mor has synthetic lanes and Community Lanes has wood lanes. This ball seems to react a lot better on synthetic lanes than it does on wood lanes. This ball hits like a truck and does a nice job at taking out the corners. I leave an occasional split here and there, but ohwell. What ball doesn't eventually leave splits. This ball is deffently better for inside angles than it is for outside angles. Overall this is a really good ball, I wouldnt mind buying another one and drilling it differently.

Only the Second ball i ever owned and even though my avg still wasnt high it manged to drop a few points. Ball would just stop moving about 5 feet from pocket. I know im not a great bowler and still learning but I have enough knowledge to know that this ball is really not that good. When told to move over alittle ball hit pocket semi solid and left just as many splits and even more 5 pins. Just couldnt get ball to stop running out. Have a couple of good scores that prob would be better if spare percentage was better but havent gotten to that part of consistently. All in All this ball prob wasnt the one for me but still would not reccomend it.

I have 380 rpms and 18.1 mph of the hand (C.A.T.S) have the ball dirlled up 12:00 w/ pin 2 inches above the fingers (ball has a 4-5 inch pin) Ball gets great lenght, doesn't rev up to much till it gets to the break point, then it makes a very strong arching motion to the pocket. On heavy oil this ball doesn't turn the corner nearly as hard and doesn't hit as hard. On med-heavy to med oil this ball is gold everything close to the pocket carries, w/ the exception of some pesky 9 pins (they are always a problem for me... i should learn to make 1/2 -0's left every 3-5 shots but instead i just spend way to much time shooting 9 pins). overall great ball

its a great ball to buy.....just when you buy it and you throw it make sure you throw it the right way...cause if you dont you'll be leaving alot of ten pins with that ball...but its still a good ball once you figure out how to throw it.....and you'll love it to death when you bowl that 300 with it!!!.....lol.....of course ive never bowled a 300 with it came close though...so yea i would buy it if you have oily to medium conditions.......and medium to high revs and alot of speed cause it will work good.....

The big time is a great ball. it hooked on every shot that I bowled on. It carried almost every shot that I through in the pocket. It was a particle ball but it still held a BIG amount of energy for the backends and hit so hard I almost fell over. it was very smooth and did not have to much snappyness. if you chicken wing the ball all the way out to the one board the ball great recovery and hits like a truck with rocks in it. the big time is one of the graetest bowling balls ever made.

Mine is drilled with the CG in the middle of the palm and the pin at 1 o'clock. The ball has an amazing turn and rolls out almost never. The pattern I used it one was a 42 shop sport shot, where i played outside of 1st arrow. The shot was mostly just up 4 but i could swing it out to 3 or tug it to 5 and still hit the pocket. THe ball still hits like a truck, and seems to be dying at a very slow pace, even though it is a particle. Compared to my Big deal (target weight) It has a sharper break point further down the lane, and hooks about 4 boards more. Yet, it has a big problem with dry. Maybe it was drilled to aggressive?

Drilled stacked 3x3, with the pin about 2" up from the midline, and an x-hole just below my axis on the VAL. In this configuration, the ball gets into an earlier roll (which helps because I have excessive side roll) but still makes a strong move at the breakpoint, particularly when it hits the dry after being tugged into the puddle. (If sent way out to the driest part of the lane, it recovers nicely with a hard arcing motion.) Even with the earlier roll, the ball still has plenty of power to knock down pins. It's also a bit of a love hate relationship - if I can get lined up with it in just a few shots, it will play great for many shots after that (basically until it toasts the heads). But if I can't find room on the lane to miss in and out (as I have a tendency to spray the ball at times), I can make this ball look bad almost as easily as it can make me look good when I'm on a more forgiving pattern. Still, two 300 games in the first week of owning the ball is a new persona

Well, obviously, Tommy Jones has made this ball a household name. Once Tommy Jones made his T.V. finals, I couldn't keep this ball in stock. Unfortunately, that's also what it took to get me to try this ball. I do throw similiar to him, so I figured I would give it a try. I was extremely impressed, out of the box, first three games I shot 725. Not great, but I only Avg. about 200. This ball leaves you plenty of options to alter the coverstock so you can get some different looks. This ball hits hard, carries well, and carries the 10 pin (which I love). I just have one problem, I'm not sure who I should thank for this ball Ebonite or Tommy Jones.

Ebonite has always had great mid-per. bowling equipment. The big time was a Good ball. I really like the reaction shape. This ball was drilled up with a 4"pin @ 60 deg. from PAP. Pin under ring finger, and CG was stable w/ no balance hole. This layout gives a nice mid-lane reaction, and the core helps send it on its way to the 1-3. On certain patterns I have noticed this ball doesn't carry that well though. But, overall , I was impressed with this ball, now, Ebonite needs to do, is get a true skid/flip ball in their lineup. This ball was given to me from a pro shop that received it as a demo ball. It was drilled brand new out of the box for me. I'm left handed, and I play the ball right up the second arrow to hook at the backend. I can't throw this ball like Tommy Jones does! I've played light oil to medium oil with the same results. It seemed to have a pretty good finish in the backend. This is the second Ebonite ball I've ever used. My first was the Blue Omega Dry. I'll add this ball to my bag with my Hammers.<sc

I finally took the plunge and bought this ball. After watching Tommy Jones throw the ball for the last 2 months I couldn't take it anymore. I was really worried that the ball was not going to live up to all the hype I had created. I had the ball drilled to the 12:00 leverage pattern, pin to the right of index finger and 3 3/8" from PAP. Had the ball polished on the spinner straight out of the box. It usually takes me 10 games or so to find any kind of comfort with a ball and I avg. between 195 & 205. Went in this morning on a fresh THS and immediately fell in love with this ball. Scores this morning went 192, 223, 235, 235, 136(tried some different lines), 235, 200. Great scores for me when I am comfortable for sure, but even more impresive I could not believe the instant connection I made with this ball. This ball is very consistent, easy to repeat shots, and is very angular...more so than expected. I was so excited that I went back late tonight to see how it would handle ca

I just purchased the Ebonite Big Time yesterday and I think it's an awesome ball. I got this ball drilled for less length and more hook and it does just what I want it to do. I can pretty much play where I want to play. It's a very versitle ball and very predictable. I havn't tried it out on wooden lanes yet, but it's awesome on synthetic lanes. I'm sure it's probably awesome on wooden lanes also. Hit's the pocket very hard!! : ) I would definately recommend this ball to anyone wanting to improve their game.

Keep it dull for the heavier carrydown conditions. Dull for low rev players, shined for high-rev players. Did a pin axis drilling for a low rev player with medium speed and reacted and hit hard off the 5 board. Once dulled to about 800 grit, it came around the corner hard and shot 244 with a pocket 7-9 in the 10th. 25 crossing 15 out to 5 was the shot and heavy carrydown wet/dry was the condition. I did not have enough hand to get it around the carrydown polished. Out of box surface is very good to work with
