Endless Nightmare

Still learing about layouts, but this is the second ball that i have now with the Pin below my ring finger. I love the reaction i get, this ball allows me to play the inside of the lane from the very begining. One of the only thought process i have with it is to just make sure i get it right. My bag is complete for now with this ball. Endless, and the Diva this is going to be fun. Also i have just changed all my thumb hole to interchangable and i should have been doing that along time ago every ball feels the same now and the spare have gotton that much eaiser to pickup.

I was excited when DV8 announced this as their next release in the pro performance line. The Brutal Nightmare is one of my favorite balls, so naturally I'd be eager to give this one a try. I drilled my first one pretty strong... 55 by 4 by 60 (pin in my ring finger). On our heavier oil house pattern, Throwing the ball down the track area gives you the most room for error. This Endless hooked about seven feet sooner than an identically drilled Nightmare, and forced me into me into the middle of the lane quickly. I ended up 7 and 3 further inside than my Nightmare, which I considered the heaviest oil ball in my bag. This earlier hook provided a smooth shape in the backend, so the further inside I got, the less angle I was able to create through the pins. With this layout, I imagine this particular ball to be perfect on a fresh, high volume pattern with a large amount of oil in the front of the lane. I punched up my second EN to get through the fronts a little cleaner and save more energy for a big backend. I went with a 65 by 4 3/4 by 35 dual angle (pin just right of my bridge, above the fingers). On our house pattern, this ball's backend made up for the smooth shape of my other Endless. As I crept into the inside part of the lane, carry remained great and the ball motion remained continuous. Because of the stronger, more continuous backend, this back will fare better on longer, higher volume patterns, and would be a perfect ball to use before balling down to a Brutal. I look forward to taking it out on the Scorpion pattern. This is the dream ball for players with lower Rev rates and higher ball speeds. It will give them more hook than they've ever seen. Higher Rev rates will probably opt for altering the surface with 4000 grit pads or Rough Buff for most house patterns. The Endless Nightmare is undoubtedly the strongest ball on the market. I've thrown a bunch of balls that come out of the box at similar finishes, and none of them hook this much...definitely the strongest coverstock ever used.
