Layout: 55° x 5” x 35° Honestly, when I first through the original Nirvana, while most people had a huge amount of success with theirs, my first one wasn't all that great (due to not laying it out properly). So when the Ultimate Nirvana was announced, I was a little skeptical, when I was hearing that it had the same Nirvana shape, but just stronger off the spot. I decided to go with a similar layout as the Nirvana I drilled with a little weaker layout, since that one was much better for me. I was very happy with what I was seeing with the Ultimate. It would pick up really strong in the mid-lane, even when there was a puddle there, and would come off the spot as hard as I was hearing every one talking about. I was never afraid of having to move too far inside with this ball. A ball that I would compare this with is one of my all time favorite balls, the Nexus f(P+F). That ball, to me, is the definition of a dull, strong ball that can get through the fronts and have the motion of a skid/snap on burn. The Ultimate fits that mold quite nicely. While I haven't hit the Ultimate with the same levels of surface I did with the Nexus solid, I have no doubts the Ultimate would have any problems getting down lane, with the only exception being when the heads start to go away.

I throw the original Nirvana in league often. I used the same layout as my original and with the Ultimate Nirvana I am able to move my feet a board or two towards the friction and know it is going to get me the extra length I'm looking for when the Original starts to lose it's angle to the pocket. If you did not get the original Nirvana because you were convinced it was too much ball for your game. Give the Ultimate Nirvana a try, the ECS hybrid cover will help you get it through the front of the lane, saving energy to create pin carry.
