Even though the heavier ball jerks my upper body, I have found out a way to overcome this situation. I lean my upper body forward slightly with a slight knee bend and the problem is gone. Anyway, this is a very good spare ball and lives up to being a spare ball even on dryer lane conditions. Other balls such as the Ebonite Maxim and Columbia White Dots are not so great for spare shooting on dryer lanes. I rated this ball a 9 because the Columbia Blue Dot is probably even better but I'm not complaining much because this spare ball works great except for the extra weight. I think for me it's a good idea to go lighter just for the spare ball.
