Setup: pin under ring, CG kicked, no x-hole. This ball is the Original Inferno and has the same characteristcs. Its a really solid ball in medium oil. The early roll setup and early read gets the ball started sooner than my Absolute Inferno. The hit is typical for the inferno line...BANG. The move to the pocket is more of a hard arc. Multiple lines can be played and the ball reacts well to changes in hand position and release. What can I say, the Original Fire & Smoke Inferno is well known and a very popular. This ball makes an awesome compliment to my Absolute inferno. When the AI squirts a bit in the midlane I try this ball and I'm usually OK since it reads a bit earlier. The only thing I need to watch in this case is the 10 pin leads. I think that's mostly because this ball is more of an arc and not does not make as sharp a turn compared to the AI.

I have drilled three of these balls so far for three different for people that went to the PBA Pro-Am with me. Every one of these guys has a differnet style and they all score well with this ball. This ball is really just the original inferno with a red/black coverstock instead of the orange. The ball is forgiving and hits well taking out most 10 pins. It's a polished ball so it can be a little iffy in heavy oil and can take off in dry because of it being reactive. The one problem is that Brunswick/PBA did not ship the ball for months after we went to the pro-am. It took many calls and was a big hassle to make sure they got to us. Read my next review to understand what Brunswick is doing.<sc

I got this ball at a Pro-Am and really did not expect much of a difference in reaction to this ball and the original Inferno. I have a friend who has the original Inferno and I had my PBA Inferno drilled the same. After seeing them both side by side on the lanes the only difference was the color, I like red better then brown/gold anyway. I got the PBA Inferno roughly around the same price so I did not complain about that. The PBA Inferno had great carry and a very strong hit. This is farily similar to my RS1 but the PBA Inferno gets down the lane farther. I like this the best on a medium oiled house shot with clean backends. You will see this ball truly perform on that condition. I tried it on a slightly broken down medium shot and it hooked a bit early for my taste. I tried it in heavy oil, but all it does is skid. I would not recommend this only because it is hard to find and their are many balls that are similar to this low RG, high flaring, aggressive pearl reactive, ex.
