I have drilled two Mystic Auras. The first one was 65° x 4 1/8" x 35°. This is my standard layout for an asymmetric ball that I'm looking to have a typical skid/snap reaction. I have found that when bowling on flatter patterns is where the Mystic had it's best reaction. Being a high track player, and the angularity this ball has to offer, the ball definitely made the sharpest move of the spot I've seen, however, I would really have to twirl it to see this reaction. With my normal roll, the ball seemed fairly lazy off the spot, especially on house shots. This smoothness of the spot is what made it work better on sport shots for me. I drilled my other Mystic 70° x 5 1/4" x 30° with the intent of trying to get a better reaction on house shots. While this ball was a good amount better on house shots than the 65° one, it still doesn't have the reaction I was expecting. I would much rather throw the original Aura or the Meanstreak Brawler on house shots. Overall, if you have a fair amount of tilt, this ball will definitely do what it is advertised to do. However, if you have a very high track with little tilt, I would recommend sticking with the original Aura, as the solid cover will make a better read on the lanes. --The opinions expressed are solely those of the writer and not of Brunswick Corporation--
