The Groove Urethane Blue Sanded and Cranberry Pearl outperform and under price the competition and are recommended for medium to drier lane conditions.

While bowling tournaments on burnt wood, every single ball was grabbing at the arrows. This is where the Groove comes in. I was able to hit 10 and try and send it to 2. The ball was able to get threw the dry and get down the lane. while it looks like the ball is rolling out, it hits harder than some of the reactive equipment I have. It is the perfect ball to fit inbetween your plastic ball and a dry lane ball (ie, Monster SlayR). While sanded, it didn't give the proper reaction for what the ball was designed for, even though that is the factory finish. Just throw on some Brunswick polish, and it will be the best ball in your bag!<scrip

This ball is a great value and will deliver what Brunswick promises straight out of the box. The Groove dominates the market of beginner balls with predictability, hitting power, and adequate hook potential - there simply isn't a better beginners ball out there. I typically use this ball with the ditch shot when the lanes are *really* dry and it is impossible to control a reactive/proactive coverstock ball. This ball got me my first 200 game and with it my first 600 series too. I would definitely recommend this ball or the Groove Cranberry Pearl to any beginning player.
