DRILL PATTERN Ball: 45 x 5 x 70 X Hole: After being originally drilled without a x-hole I added a 7/8" hole 2 1/2" down my VAL to slow the ball down faster in the midlane. BOWLER STYLE Rev Rate: 400 rpms Ball Speed:17 mph off hand PAP/Track: 4 7/8 over 3/4 up SURFACE PREP Grit: 2000 Type: (Matte, Polish, Sanded): Sanded BALL REACTION Length: Clean through the heads with a strong move off the friction. Back End: extremely fast responsiveness down lane COMMENTS Likes: Easy length down lane even after encountering friction and great recovery when moving inside. Dislikes: the oob surface for me was almost too clean. When I first saw the videos on this ball I was very impressed with the ball reaction I was seeing. I have been with Brunswick through their entire transformation in ball reaction from the early rolling and predictable Inferno line to today's Masterminds and Flip product line. As each new line was released the ball motion was a little bit further down the lane. I feel the release of the Exile has capped off that quest to make ball motion further down the lane with more energy retention. When I first drilled this ball I went with a layout that I normally like on asyms (45x5x70). When I first threw this ball I liked the responsiveness off the friction however I felt like I had to be extra perfect to get the ball to slow down enough to go through the deck the right way. I decided to take the finish down to 2000 and add a x-hole down the VAL to get the ball to slow down just a touch sooner. This was the combination I needed, now the ball is clean through the front of the lane but slows down enough to not want to go completely sideways after it reaches the friction down lane. This ball is now a winner in my hands. Brunswick Regional Staff Vise Regional Staff The opinions expressed are solely those of the writer and not of Brunswick Corporation.
