Brunswick Strike Zone Bowling Ball

Technology The Strike Zone brings the popular reaction of the Ultimate Inferno to the Zone Asymmetric line. The Strike Zone combines the same 800-grit Activator solid coverstock used on the Ultimate Inferno with the Ultra-Low RG Asymmetrical core system from the Zone Classic. This core/coverstock combination produces an Ultimate Inferno like ball reaction with the drilling options of the asymmetrical core. In the front-end: The Activator coverstock is clean through the fronts, saving more reaction for the back-ends. This provides improved hitting power and back-end recovery while reducing sensitivity to breakdown in the front-end lane conditions and lane surfaces that are less than ideal. In the mid-lane: The Ultra-Low RG core provides strong mid-lane recovery while the Activator coverstock provides improved traction in the oil with a smoother, more effective reaction off the dry. This combination reduces over/under reaction by making the wet play less wet and the dry, less dr

Brunswick has the best balls on the market. This Stike Zone has been the best ball that I have owned year to date. I just shot my 2nd 300 game in aprx 2 in a half years, I have typically averaged around 200 during league play for the last few years that I have owned this Brunswick product. This ball still has plenty of game left even though it has seen a good many games over the last few years. I would recomend this ball to any one that can keep the speed up and knows how to play the angles. There is a good reason the named this ball the STIIKE Zone!

I have over 300 games on ball one and with proper care it will last. it dose lose hook but has not died. I use it as a back up to my new strike zone when the lanes are worn out resurfaced to 2000 abr. second ball factory finish drilled almost stacked. no drastic reaction just a continous smooth hook for original review see great ball on 10/2005. not a ball for a new bowler. if you struggle with this ball learn to adjust. 9.9 out of 10 times it is the bowler not the ball. so quit complaining.<sc

I'm a beginner to the ball testing and such, and I don't have much experience so just bear with me...The Strike Zone is a great ball, especially right out of the box for me, when it had the best hook and hit. But it hasn't really stuck out to me, and now it has almost less power than my Columbia Messenger that is over five years old. The Scotch brite pads work somewhat, but don't completely revive the ball. This ball is recommended as a discount ball because of its age, but if you're looking for top of the line, look somewhere else.

Wanted a ball for medium oil lanes, but got this ball for a gift so got it drilled. Frist time i threw it i shot 725 so was impressed. The ball hooks good and hit hard when you are on target. Though sometimes leave too many 10 pins, but if your on taraget usally has good carry. I also use this ball for my split conversion cause of the hook its been very good also on converting splits for me about 75% of tiem except 7-10 or 5-7-10 LOL! but makeable splits it been good. I use this as backup ball to my infinite one when i cant control that ball i go to this one and usally works.

What can you say about this ball, with the ultimate inferno coverstock and zone core, it seem to hit better with the zone core over the inferno. When the condition is fresh this ball shinned, throwing down and in and swinging deep inside. I been wating for a long time for a ball that handle oil and carrydown. I bought a roto grip rsp, Xfactor ace, total shock and awe, etc and all these ball does not carry well compare to the strike zone. Best oil bowl for such a low price. Get yourself a strike zone. brunswick nation brunswick nation brunswick nation brunswick nation brunswick nation brunswick nation brunswick nation brunswick nation brunswick nation brunswick naiton brusnwick!!!!!!!!!!! 100 words to your mother!!!!!

Drill pattern is like a negative drill with the CG in the palm just the entire pattern is moved 1 1/2 inches over to the right side of the ball I got this ball drilled for a heavy oiled sport shot, the only thing is thats the only place I can use it. Also if there is any carry down the ball becomes very touchy. It also seems that this ball is very speed sensitive, if I am just a little quick the ball goes straight as an arrow, if I'm just a touch slow it revs up very early and hooks a ton. Maybe it's the way I got the ball drilled, but so far I'm not impressed. Well, I figured out what was wrong with my Strike Zone(No it's not going to help the rating... it's staying a four). I got one of the newer ones with the "improved" "activator" (that right, quoting sarcasticly TWICE) coverstock. Not to pleased, so I got rid of the ball, because it was a hunk of junk.

I got this ball cause I wanted something that I could use on medium to heavy oil conditions, cause I figured that it would rev up sooner and read the midlane a bit better. I had heard a lot of good things about this ball, and I thought that it would work for me. Unfortunately that wasn't that case. When I have it sanded, to about 400 grit, it just burns up early and does nothing on the backend, and I mean nothing. So I polished it up to 1200 grit to see if I could get it through the heads cleaner. It backended decently, but this was on a very easy medium oil pattern. The ball also forced for to play a line farther inside that I prefer to play. When I got out into my comfort area, it would make it back to the pocket, but it would leave a lot of weak 10 pins and 7 pins. I tried changing my line, release, everything....nothing worked. I will NEVER again buy another Brunswick ball. This is my second Brunswick ball in the past year that I hate. From now on I am gonna stick with

Pretty impressed with this ball. I'm a stroker for the most part, and have been playing straight up 3 board recently. I decided I needed a couple new balls, and this was one of the ones i picked up. Wow, i've thrown 4-5 games with it and in 2 different houses, and this thing took me out of my comfort "zone" and forced me to play real deep. I like that because it gives me more options to play, and if i get to a real heavy oiled house this should be perfect. This ball allows quite a bit of leeway when you throw it which turns out to be a bowlers best friend sometimes. The carry is pretty phenominal, occasional 10 pin, but it happens. Looks cool, hooks good, carries great, lets just hope it holds up and this is going to be a true winner. Brunswick just went up on my ball company list

HOOK MONSTER! I originally tried deep line (out of my game), because it hooked TOO much. Then I tried polishing this 800-grit beast. WOW!! Polish it, don't sand it up. That was the only way I could tame it (wood lanes). Don't get me wrong, the ball did get down the lane for a 800-grit ball, but it was too violent of an arc for me. But after polishing some, it goes down even better. It carries from EVERYWHERE on the lane. ONE OF THE MOST UNDER-RATED BALLS OF THE YEAR!! (along with the Maximum Velocity)

This ball was drilled to pick up roll in the mids and finish strong. It does exactly that. I have a classic zone and vapor zone that have to play 8 right with my feet and 5 boards at the arrows to get the ball to finsih vs were I"m playing with the strike zone. The strike zone finishes extremely well when carry down is a problem for most. Best Brunswick zone ball yet. I used to prefer Columbia and tired a strike zone just for the heck of it based on a recommendation. After trying it I was conviced that Brunswick has a better product and swtiched my entire aresnal. This ball is that good.

If you like the Ultimate Inferno you'll love the Strike Zone. It has bonecrushing hitting power and amazing pin carry. It rolls verry similar to the Ultimate Inferno but it hitts harder and hooks more. One suprising feature is how deep I can play it and it still crushes the pocket. this ball is great for many different lane conditions and bowling styles. This Is a new breed of Zone and it is good. Here what it has done for me , I average 178 and today i had a 616 with it and last week I had a 642. Oh yeah my team won our league due tho the pain that the Strike zone allowed me to bring to the other team. This is the first ball that I have owned that I just knew how to throw it out the box. I recommend this ball to anybody, expeciallly if you liked the original Zones and the Infernos this is the ball for you. If it can make me a chapmion it can do the same for you. Pick one up today, you won't regret it.

I BELEIVE ITS THE BEST BALL BRUNSWICK PUT OUT. ALL MY TEAMMATE AND FRIEND ARE PICKING UP THE BALL. ITS A MUST IN THE BAG. THE BALL GIVES YOU PLENTY OF BOARDS TO MISS AND GIVE YOU A POSSIBLE GOOD CARRY.IAM GETTING ANOTHER BALL BUT DRILLING IT WITH THE PIN ABOVE THE RING FINGER AND THE CG STACKED. THAT CAN BE THE BEST ARSENAL YOU CAN HAVE. I WALKED IN A FEW PRO SHOPS AND OVER HEARD EVERYONE TALKING SO HIGHLY ABOUT THE BALL THAT MY PICK WAS GREAT. EVERYONE SHOULD PICK ONE UP.YOU WILL THANK ME WHEN YOU THROW IT. IAM A STORM BOWLER AND BRUNSWICK MADE A BALL THAT IAM IMPRESSED WITH.

I got this ball for on house I bowl leauge in. they tend to put down a lot of oil! So when nothing else will turn the corner I pull this out. when it makes the left turn it keeps going. tons of hitting power. best game with this ball 290 series of 690 would have been a 700+ but i used the wrong ball the first game (180) I would recommend this to any bowler that knows how to adjust to various lane conditions. great combo in the coverstock and the core. I cant wait to use this on my tournaments. I also carry the roto grip RSX, 2 professionals (different drillings) freak-a-zoid, zone classic. that is another great ball.

Layout: 4/3/4(pin to PAP) x 4 3/4 (rad to PAP), Pin 2 1/4 above midline, Reaction Characteristics OUT OF THE BOX: The Strike Zone is an ideal heavy oil ball for players wanting to use a Reactive coverstock. Reactive Solid Core 2-piece Asymmetrical This combination reduces over/under reaction by making the wet less wet and the dry, less dry, effectively allowing the bowler to create more area. MID-LANE REACTION: the core provides strong mid-lane recovery while the Activator coverstock provides improved traction in the oil with a smooth, reaction off the dry. This combination reduces over/under reaction by making the wet play less wet and the dry, less dry, effectively allowing the bowler to create more area. Great ball for anyone that is looking for a ball that help reads the Lanes. WHEN SHINED: the total hooking action of the Strike Zone can and will be reduced Strike Zone coverstock is the same as the Ultimate Inferno with the Ultra-Low RG Asymmetrical core system from

This ball is quite possibly the best ball I have EVER thrown! This ball rolls so smoothly, its unreal. I have it drilled out to skid snap, but it doesn't cut the corner as hard as I thought it would. I thought it would be more of a sharp turn, but instead, it hits the breakpoint and arcs more than I would have thought, making it much easier to control. But since I got this ball about 3 months ago, I have shot so many honor scores like multiple 700+ Series, and multiple 250+ games. This ball has just helped me be in more control of my shot, and not release it all over the lane, and my game has improved so much more than what it was. And what makes it the greatest thing of all, I bought this ball with my own money from my summer job... GET IN THE STRIKE ZONE WITH THE STRIKE ZONE!!!<scri

The Strike Zone is a smooth reacting ball with a good backend reaction and when this ball hits the pins they dont fall they fly all over the place. Yes the Ulimate Inferno and the Strike Zone both have the same coverstock on them but the Strike Zone has a different core, so they are similar but the Strike Zone definently hooks more and will have a bigger kick to it on the backend than an Ultimate Inferno. If you like the Ulimate Inferno you will like the Strike Zone. Oh this ball flares like nothing I have ever seen it flares over my weight hole but dont worry it wont stop this ball from making the pin fly believe me. The Strike Zone definently lives up to its name.

Lots of messengers with this one. If you're looking for a strong resin ball, this could be the one for you. I'm not a big fan of particle equipment, and bought this one on recommendation from my pro shop guy. I have above average revs on my shots, and this ball recovers nice from deep inside for me, not flippy at all. I would think most style of bowlers could use this one for oilier conditions, maybe those with slower speeds would struggle to control it. This is my first Brunswick ball since the old Purple Rhino, and I love it.

This ball is a very well put together ball. It goes long like zone's tend to do but rolls early like the activator coverstock. it rolls early with a hard backend kind of reaction. mine is drill stacked with a small hole above my PAP. when you have a zone classic that dies half way down the lane and any inferno that is rolling too early this is the ball to switch to. i'm not one to plug and redrill a ball but if i like a ball enough i will drill another with a totally different drilling . i like having a ball that will roll early and one that goes long. when one is not working the other will hopefully. this is turning out to be a ball i think i fell in love with.

well i wanted something with a little length but still held up some energy for the back end so it wouldnt seem to sometimes roll out like the ultimate inferno. this ball was it. after about 12 games it finally seem to start taking off, and no it was 12 games on the same lanes. once it did this ball could really go but still come back to hit the pocket. it also gives you a little bit more area. this ball is a little bit touchy with speed. a few times i slowed it down just to see this ball jump through the face leaving something ugly

Brunswicks combination of the Ultimate Inferno cover and the classic zone core is brilliant. Ball has a similar reaction to the Ultimate, but with more length and a harder kick at the breakpoint. I usually play around the second arrow, down and in, this is one of the few balls I've ever been able to play inside the 4th arrow with. The ball gets through the heads clean and shreds the backend. The pins don't stand a chance when you hit your mark. The ball is also very forgiving, even when I leaked it left, the ball tore back to the pocket with enough power to carry the corner pins. Another winner from Brunswick solidifying their spot at the top of the food chain.
