Brunswick Power Groove ProActive Black Bowling Ball

Plastic slips. The Groove grips. And grip is exactly what you need to improve your game. When you’re ready to step up from plastic, get in the Groove. Want more hook? Move all the way up to Proactive coverstock technology. Compared to Reactive, Proactive coverstock technology increases hooking action in the oil by adding texturizing particles that create a tread-like surface that tractions through heavier amounts of oil, increasing friction and hooking action. Like Reactive coverstocks, Proactive coverstocks can be sanded or shined to create large differences in hook potential. Proactive coverstocks also respond less violently to dry lane surfaces than Reactive coverstocks, creating a smoother, more arcing ball reaction with more control. Coverstock: The Black Sparkle features Brunswick’s popular Low-Load Proactive coverstock. First used on the Navy Quantum, this Proactive coverstock is the strongest ever used on a Groove class ball. Funny thing about my first practice with that ball was that it occurred during "Astro Bowl" with all bells/whistles, fog machines, strobe lights, disco balls and lane lights off. Only the pin deck was illuminated. Basically averaged 215 for seven games while utilizing 50% inside and 50% outside shots. Common reaction for a Brunswick ball. From the outside, it had medium length, then backend snap into the 1-3 pocket. Bowling from the inside, same reaction, hard snap back, but no deflection! This ball, although mid range performance, is the real deal! Perfect compliment to my Reactive Power Groove! Thanks Brunswick!

This is one of the best balls i have used. Though it does have its faults, it will stay one of my main balls for a long time till i can get used to 16 pounds. This ball will make heavy oil the easiest lanes to bowl on.b The ball curves when it is only 40 feet down the lane, on dry lane it can start curving after 20 feet. This causes me to have many ten pins still standing, but ten pins are easy to pick up for me. Also my ball will starts curving when it is halfway in the gutter. This is a god and a bad thing since i love to scare people by getting a stike when my ball is halfway in the gutter, but if i put more power into the shot it will go in the gutter. The price of this ball is another plus since it is cheap compared to balls that perform almost the same as this one.

The power groove is not a first pull out ball but probably one of the most variety shots ball out there. You can throw this ball up the boards you can throw it out a little bit.You can also throw it at ten pins for spares even though you wont leave much. The ball specs 3-4" pin from cg 2.1 top weight i usually put about 40-50 something axis tilt on it.It seems to hit the pocket light but probably my damn ball.iam not recognizing the drill overall I think they could have done a little better.<scrip

This has to be one of the most amazing balls I have ever thrown, This is a 3 piece with a proactive cover. Its cheap. I still cant believe this one. Okay, The pin is just above my index finger and this ball was drilled to get thru the heads with strong midlane revs and a hard pop on the ends. I waited until they oiled the lanes 38 feet, Top hat type shot and backends were not flying. This ball does not skid snap but a hard arc to the pocket so be sure to give it some room but it will not be a coast to coast hooker. You have to see this one to believe it, The pins were kept low and this pup was smooth. Control, Control, And more of it. If you need a ball when lanes get tricky this is it. I still cant believe it. I just cant describe this one you will have to see it. Check this one out, God I cant believe this one. Hope this helps, Take Care, RickyP............

Topweight-unknown Weight-15 Pin- 2-3inchs Drilled-pin just over and a little up from the ring finger and the cg put on the low sid down close to the thumb. no weight hole nesasry Lane Condition #1 This shot is a sport shot at 35ft in lenth and buffed 40, maybe 42ft. Through the middle of the lane it seemed to be like a chrismas tree shot with medium heavy, and the drier spot was medium. Lane Condition #2 Also a sport shot, this one went down to 39ft buffed to 42ft middle was soaked and seemed to be just a flat oil. Lane Condition #1 Now this was a tournment with a sports condition. Started by standing on 13 board, and laying the ball across the 3 board with no roll out, or the ball would end up in the ditch, was using medium hand, which cut the flare a inch or so off the potenchal that this ball has. This shot worked rather well for the first couple of games untill my line started to dry up (move a pair to the right after each game)so i went to anther ball that hooked a

16 pounds Top Weight: 3.7 Pin out: 4-5.5 inches Factory Surface First off, I am a power stroker with high revs and medium ball speed and about a 15 degree axis tilt. I have mine drilled up 5 3/4 inches from my PAP. This put the pin over my bridge, and the cg being just below the center of my grip. This ball is amazing. I bowled on the new brunswick synthetics on house shots that have been thrown on quite a bit during the day. This Groove cleared the heads and midlanes exceptionally, never once wanting to turn on the dry. Once, the Black Sparkle hit the dry it was a very nice smooth and controlable arc. The Power Groove hits like no ball I have ever seen. It is not an explosive hit. The Groove just pushes the pins out of its way. Nothing is left on the deck once it enters the pocket. Pins just danced across the deck, messengers left and right. The Black Sparkle does an excellent job complimenting my Swamp Monster. When I run out of adjustments or hand positions with my Swamp,
