Plastic slips. The Groove grips. And grip is exactly what you need to improve your game. When you’re ready to step up from plastic, get in the Groove. Ready to start hooking the ball? Move up from Plastic to Reactive coverstock technology. Compared to Plastic, Reactive coverstock technology increases traction and hooking action in the oil, and Reactive coverstocks can be sanded or shined to create large differences in hook potential. Reactive coverstocks also respond more aggressively to dry lane surfaces than Urethane coverstocks, increasing backend hooking action and hitting power. Coverstock: All three Power Groove Reacitve balls feature Brunswick’s popular PowrKoil 17 Reactive coverstock. First used on the Sapphire Zone, PowrKoil 17 is the strongest Reactive coverstock ever used on a Groove class ball. Core: The Power Groove Reactive group feature Brunswick’s DISC (Differential Increasing Side Cylinders) core technology which provides: The largest track flare potential

two thumbs up for brunswick for making the most powerfull pearl in the entry level class if you are looking for a ball to help you learn how to hook this is the one you cant beat the price and the power this ball has it all everyone should have one in their bag and every proshop should always have one on display you are not going to find any better pearl bowling ball than this one if you are someone that dont have a whole lot of money to spend on bowlingballs you are in luck I really recommend this ball one for you so buy one and see what I mean good luck in your bowling

This ball is a great first reactive ball. Once my revs got up, I have a hard time keeping it on the lane unless I get a running start. Very unpredictable, sometimes it hits the left gutter and sometimes it barely hooks at all. If you are a low rev bowler, then you may never have problems with it. If you are a high rev bowler, I would steer clear from the start. The color is really ugly, which I consider a plus. I would recommend a Monster Frenzy over this ball for a first or later ball. Lots of negatives, but it really isn't terrible until I get on dry lanes. It cuts through oil fairly well.

I tried Brunswick's Power Groove Teal/Purple sanded and I liked how smooth it was and the fact that it did not overreact on the backends. I wanted to see how their pearl version would perform. When comparing these two, the pearl went through the heads much easier than the sanded version as expected. The sanded Power Groove was somewhat predictable while with the Chrome/Yellow version, I could not tell where it would move half of the time. However I was amazed with the hit and backend the Chrome/Yellow created. It was flat out amazing. But once again the only downfall is predictablity. I blame the 3 piece core design. 3 piece cores are never as predictable as 2 piece cores seen on more expensive bowling balls. The breakpoint the ball creates is not as defined on a 3 piece core when comparing to a 2 piece core. But for the price, $75, I really could not complain. This is a great ball to use for broken down shots but not in very light oil, the Power Groove will snap far too har

Good ball for the money ,, you can buy harder hitting balls ,, but for something you can throw on all conditions ,, this is the ball ,, You can hook the ball if you got a strong release or can play down and in if you prefer to stroke the ball ,, keeps pins low with minimal deflection,, simple to drill ,, has good life expectency ,, doesnt track out .. If you can throw hard it will straighten out for 10 pins (7 if your lefty) so that eliminates the extra ball to carry.. Im not a big fan of brunswick but I test alot of equipment and I think brunswick got a winner here

Well, it was free! That is all that I can really say about this ball because it doesnt really have any good qualities. I did find out that if you sand this ball it will tame it down a little but still this ball has some massive hook. So if you think you should buy a Triple Xtreme, or a Fear Factor or and animal untamed or an Ultimate Inferno you are wrong you should just go and buy yourself a Power Groove, because I guarantee you this ball with hook more than all of those balls buy at least 10 boards this is if you have revs because all these balls hook but the Power Groove is really nasty on the back-end. The End.

If you are ready to step up from plastic to a high performance ball, or if you are looking for a spare ball...this is definetly the ball for you. I got this ball and had it drilled for $85 dollars at my local proshop. This was my first ball that got with a fingertip grip to start throwing a hook. On main thing that is wonderful about the ball is that you don't have to try too hard to make it hook. It doesn't hook quite as much as the higher priced balls, but for the money, no body can go wrong. With my first week after switching from plastic to this ball, my average went up 10 points.<scr

10 pins form my wife! a bargain reactive ball!! This ball allows her to step up her game with control. She even makes her ten pins with it. Stack drilled the hook is done with her wrist action.....Improved her game greatly. Bargain ball that looks and plays fantastic!Recommend for the bowler who needs more control when lanes get dryer. She usually throws Storm El Nino2000, and Blazing Inferno...Now she is using this ball alot, got to play the lane not play the ball!! and she loves way it looks!Wife is a 175 avg, but on medium to dryer condition needed something more controllable. Well this hit the nail on the head. Had it stack drilled for her.......Bang to pocket!! high game so far is 242 with it.....The ball allows her to play the lane how SHE wants to.

This ball performs just like it was designed too.. This ball was designed for lite oil, and with a hard backend.. When you are having trouble carrying, and your other balls want work. This is the ball.. Wouldn't recommend this ball for heavy, or medium oil, but of lite to dry.. This ball looks nices going down the lane, and you will get people asking you what kind of ball that really is... Dollar for Dollar this ball performs perfectly.. If need a ball to go straight, and dive into the packet this is the ball.. When carrying looks very impossible remember this ball because it will work for you
