Brunswick Monster Scream R Bowling Ball

With the Monster ScreamR Brunswick has moved it’s popular N’Control PowerStock coverstock system to the mid-price point. N’Control PowerStock, first used on the Command Zone (1999) and Command Zone Arc (2000) delivers a fundamentally more skid/snap ball reaction than the PowrKoil Reactive coverstock family. The Monster ScreamR features a low-RG, medium flare compound core system utilizing a super- high-density version of the inner core that was made famous by the Teal RhinoPro. The combination of skid/snap coverstocks and low-RG core systems has produced some of the most forgiving and broadly appealing ball reactions in the history of bowling. The skid/snap coverstock gets the ball through the heads, the low-RG core system helps to promote mid-lane recovery, the skid/snap coverstock creates a strong backend reaction that is made smoother and more controllable by the low-RG core system. Maximum forgiveness and versatility in a bowling ball. The Monster ScreamR has been previous

This was my first reactive ball and currently the only ball I own to date (though I've just purchased a high-load particle ball). I bought it about two years ago and have played with it at least 2 times a week since then - and its still reacting like it did when I first bought it. I had this ball drilled for medium oil. This ball has been an excellent ball when you use it on medium/light oil conditions (On heavy oil it wont finish and on dry lanes it will role out.). The break point which is angular is very consistent and predictable as long as its used on the correct conditions (obviously) On the whole, I like it. If you can find one of these balls new I wouldn't hesitate in buying it again. Its a really good tool.

Lets me throw my normal shot from anywhere if there's a shot. I haven't found a shot other than heavier oil that I can't use this ball on. I'll be bowling a sport shot league this summer, so I'll see how well it works then, but it doesn't seem to overreact on dry, and has a little move on oil. Mine doesn't really skid/snap, but I like the reaction it has better than what I had expected or wanted when I drilled it. It starts moving early, but doesn't overhook, more of a hook set reaction. Very hard arc to the pocket, makes the pins dance around pretty well. Has a problem with 10's sometimes, but what ball doesn't?

ALL IN ALL THIS IS AN EXTREEMELY GOOD BALL,,THE OVERALL HITTING POWER IS VERY POWERFUL AND THIS BALL KEPT THE PINS FROM FLYING ALL OVER, BASICLY IT KEPT THEM ABOUT MEDIUM TO LOW ON THE DECK BUT THEY MIX VERY STRONGLY.......I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMEND THIS BALL TO ANYONE EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT A BRUNSWICK FAN AT ALL...THIS BALL IS NOT FOR USE ON DRY LANES UNLESS YOU HAVE NO HAND AT ALL ,EVEN AT THAT THE BALL STILL ROLLS STRONG AND CARRYS WITH JUST A LITTLE FINGER ......BUTT I WILL NOT SWITCH FROM AZO TO BRUNSWICK BECAUSE OF THIS BALL AZO STILL MAKES THE GREATEST BOWLING BALLS AROUND...

16 pounds Top Weight: 3.6 Pin out: 2-3 inches Factory Surface Sorry about the delay guys, I have had finals and just finished up the semester up. It has been a pretty busy end of the year..... What an amazing bowling ball. I drill this one up 5 1/2" strong, with the pin above my fingers. I drilled this up for when the backends are toast during the later games of a tournament. And, this is what a bowling ball should be. The way it eases through the heads, and once it reads the dry on the backend goes that extra foot and makes a nice hard controlable arc towards the pocket. It reminds me of a Zone X low diff on steroids. Once it gets to the pocket, nothing is left standing, maybe a few 8 or 9 pins, but the ball is like a ton of bricks. The ScreamR fits nicely between my Ignitor and Zone X Low Diff. It goes just that tich further than the Ignitor and when the lanes fry out too much I go right to my low diff. This is one hell of a ball for all types of bowlers, if you a

Great ball on medium to light lanes it just sits back and then hammers the pocket at the back end, ball also allows u to miss left and still come back but if u have carry down, if your gunna bowl on lanes with lots of carry down dont buy this ball it tends not to finish in carry down.the first serise i got with the ball was 687 and it helped me get downstate in compition. it is overal the best bowling ball i have ever owned but im retiring it for the columbia wicked. I got sick of the ball<scri

I've been a loyal Hammer bowler from 1987 until I took time off from 1997 until last year. I came back to the game looking for some new equipment (only to find Faball in shambles) when a pro shop manager/ friend showed me his new Monster ScreamR. Now, I had seen the green Monster and the red/black Monster, and I thought they were great for the people I saw rolling them...but not for me. When I saw him cut loose with the ScreamR, I ordered mine within a half hour. This is definitely a medium/medium-heavy oil ball depending on drilling. Too dry (even on the back end of a wet/dry shot) and you'll be living in corner pin hell. If the lanes have a lot of carry-down, you may skid right through. Get on that in between shot and this ball hits harder than anything else I own (sometimes almost TOO hard). I'll leave it at this: I'm left handed, bowling in a wood lane house that sets out a wet/ dry shot. My ScreamR is drilled pin-in with stacked leverage (2.5" pin to CG) and an axis hole. Th

Well 1st Game with the ball first 10 for a 289 Game and a 778 Series. Next week 802 Series with a 300 Game. First 800 Series in the bowling center for 8 years. Enough said this ball hits awesome and carries light. I would recommend this ball to everyone that needs power on a medium to light oil shot. Do not use this ball if you have carrydown though or lots of oil. You will leave corner pins and possibly pocket splits. Go out and get this ball today!!! If I was going to war with 3 bowling balls this would be one in my bag along with the Elixer Pearl and Apex Intensity.

Overall this has been the best reaction I have ever gotten out of a ball. I have a lot of revs and this ball will get down the lane for me and deliver a nice controllable break point. Perfect ball for anybody that has some hand! I have the ball shined all the way up and normally bowl on synthetic lanes. My buddy that has a similar style steals this ball off of me all the time. He agrees on the best ball ever. I haven't had much success on tournament shots with this ball but for normal house conditions I LOVE THIS BALL! www.scratchbowling.com

Ball of choice with dry backends... but if the house oils all 65 feet... u might wanna think about leaving this one at home. It has it's 750's as well as it's 620's. This would be the ball i would use for the first game and a half to two and two thirds of the game, but when the oil gets carried too far down... your gonna have to catch to another ball that will give you a more demanding hook on oil. I shoot the Scream R until it starts to breal too soon and miss the pocket. In which cause I switch to me AMF Angle Evoultion... which will break at the same point, but it will hold a more true line and give the head pin a ride.
