Cover Stock: The new Honor Roll Solid reactive coverstock is Brunswick’s latest cutting edge development based off our performance enhancing additive chemistry technology. Honor Roll Solid coverstock offers the most aggressive coverstock to date for a Brunswick ball. This aggressive coverstock produces easy length through the heads with unsurpassed traction in the mid-lane and backend to achieve ultimate hook. Core: The Mastermind Ultra Low RG core features a single density squared-off elliptical inner core. The core is dynamically designed to extend the rotational energy, boosting angular velocity to transfer energy to the pins for increased pin action and higher scores. Ball Motion: The new Mastermind breaks through the hook barrier again extending the overall hook potential range for the Brunswick product line.. The Mastermind with its 1500 grit Siaair Micro Pad finish, reaches the highest hook potential of any previous Brunswick ball to date on medium to heavily oiled lane conditions.

Layout: 55° x 4" x 40° My arsenal has been missing this type of reaction for a long time. The NeXXus f(P+R) and the Paranormal Aura before it didn’t live up to the expectations the Nexus f(P+F) set. I think I’ve finally found the replacement. The Mastermind is the new standard for a high end ball. It gets through the heads and has such a heavy roll that the pins don’t stand a chance. I haven’t had as much confidence throwing a ball that I knew would hook no matter what since the original Nexus. Anytime I hear a ball that is dull that is advertised as clean through the front, I immediately have to compare it to the best ball that did this, the original Nexus f(P+F). Up until this point, I haven’t found a ball to legitimately replace the Nexus. Everything that made the Nexus f(P+F) a great ball, the Mastermind improves upon. I have no fears about the Mastermind being able to hook and make the corner. --The opinions expressed are solely those of the writer and not of Brunswick Corporation--
