Layout: 90° x 4 1/2" x 35° PAP: 5 1/2" Over - 1 1/2" Up When this ball was announced, I was very intrigued. While the Magnitude 035, for me, was very controllable and gave a predictable motion, it didn't have the bite or traction that I was expecting. I felt like this ball made sense to add to the line next. For my layout, I wanted to go with something that I was familiar with, and had previous success with. The last ball that I drilled that seemed to have the same characteristics as this ball (big/strong/dull symmetric) was the Meanstreak Beatdown, so I went with that layout. The first shot thrown with this ball, I was blown away when it made its turn towards the pocket. It reminded me of the first shot I threw at my first USBC Open Championship Tournament in 2009. I was throwing a MaxxX Zone, and I got it a little wide of target. As it starting its trajectory towards the gutter, I thought, "Well, that's going to be 5," ready for the super-washout. Well, I wasn't wrong, it was a 5 count, but a Greek Church. The Magnitude 055 had that same hard turn off the spot as my MaxxX Zone did, but is a lot cleaner in the fronts. It's almost as if the MaxxX Zone and the Nexus f(P+F) merged and formed this amazing symmetrical ball. As all the video reviews from Brunswick have said, and I can concur, I have no fear moving in with this ball and knowing that it will come back. This ball, along with the Kingpin, I can hear the difference in sound they make going through the pins compared to any other balls on the market, including some of the other Brunswick/DV8/Radical balls. This ball the new ball that will not come out of my bag at the top of my symmetric stack.
