Brunswick Imperial Quantum Bowling Ball

Introducing Imperial Quantum, featuring BTV's exclusive Proactive MTX4 ™ coverstock. This new formulation combines the impressive performance characteristics of Axiom with a more Skid/Snap arc than the Jade Quantum. The traction effect built into all formulations of Axiom™ Proactive™ coverstocks results in a strong but smooth reaction on the lane that is less skittish or squirty at the breakpoint compared to reactive urethanes. Proactive inspires confidence in the strength of the reaction and in the repeatability of the shot.

Introducing Traction Effect Characteristic, the newest industry statistic. Traction Characteristic helps you calibrate where the traction will kick in and to what degree.

Imperial Quantum is constructed with Quantum's patented mushroom core design which creates dynamic integrity throughout all weights. Together, this core design and Proactive™ coverstock material, come together to produce a later rolling ball with a very aggressive, but readable move to the pocket.

The traction effect generated by Proactive™, provides a readable reaction that also creates a significant increase in overall hook for virtually any bowler style on a wide variety of lane conditions, even when shined. If the bowler desires more hooking action out of the box, Proactive™ can be sanded and will provide a cleaner front end reaction than dull reactive balls, while maintaining strong mid-lane and back end reactions. Proactive™ is a significant improvement over reactive urethane technology when used dull as it delivers a reaction that is much less sensitive on the front part of the lane. Most of the increase in hook will come in the middle and backend parts of the lane, offsetting any early reaction that may be created by sanding the ball. Axiom's impressive performance improvements are not achieved through higher friction. In fact, Axiom™ Proactive TM is less abrasive against lane surfaces than conventional and reactive urethane coverstocks.

Making contact means taking control. It's simple physics. This proactive cover stock uses traction to unite surfaces. Gripping the lane. Not letting go. Resisting everything in its path. Except, of course, the pins.

I bought this ball on ebay for 10.00. The ball was in great condidion when i got it. Started throwing it and wasnt getting a very good reaction at all out of the ball. The ball would go cleanly down the lane but would never roll over and drive. So i baked the ball thinking that it was just a little soaked. BOY WAS I RIGHT!! There were puddles of oil all over the ball. After I fixed that problem I returned back to the lanes. This time the ball would start to make a move but it was to little to late. I finally decided to try somthing. I went back to the ball spinner and hit the ball w/ 600 grit sand paper and topped that off with the 10 micron trizact. WOW what a difference! The ball is soo strong now its' unbelieveable!! It just crushes pins and the carry is out of this world! This ball deserves a 10 out of 10!!! The ball is drilled Pin in the Palm and the GC UNDER AND TO THE RIGHT OF THE RING FINGER. Lefty. =)

This ball rolls extremely nice there's no doubt about it. This is definately one of my favorite balls to throw just to watch how it rolls on the lane. I believe this balls is pretty condition specific w/only a few exceptions. It can be alittle uncontrollable once in awhile but, alot balls are like that and usually adjusting takes care of that. On soup where I would like to use it alittle more it just doesn't roll up worth anything. If there is carry down it tends to float off alittle bit, enough to hurt. I would say if there was a fresh oil shot or medium oil this ball would be at it's best. Much else and it really isn't that useful. LtZ The Prodigy

Drilled 4 x 5 (no hole) and polished with Cerium Oxide. For a proactive, this ball can generate quite a bit of length polished. The break point is incredibly smooth....No sharp snap here. Was so happy to find one of these, and as the first Quantum I have owned, I wish I could find more. Hit's the pins with a resounding CRACK and just keeps on driving. Ocasionally it drives just too hard and leaves some very cold 8 and 9 pins, but hey, that's a good problem the way I see it. If you can find one, GRAB IT!!!
