Our Forest Quantum is the embodiment of dual personality. Designed for smooth, even performanc on medium and oily conditions, it delivers a sudden, surprisingly powerful backend reaction. As well as center heavy action and a high track flare potential. In short, a workhorse ball.

Picked this ball up second hand from a pawn broker for 15 pounds a few years ago. The ball appeared quite old and battered at the time, but it fitted my hand perfectly so i took a risk. It proved to be a sound investment as i sold it for 25 pounds to my brother. It a had a nice early mid land reaction which worked very well on my natural wide outside line in oily conditions after the local pro sanded it to 800 grit for me. I found this ball resistant to high revs, but that did not seem to reduce the curve of this ball. I still wish i had this ball, or a new version in my bag. Overall a great ball

Wow... First time I used this in league play......811 - 298 ! At first I was very disappointed with this ball. It would nto do anything but go straight. Tried polishing and then dulling but no luck. The ball would make a little move and then nothing. It sat for about a year then I decided to give it one more chance or it was gone. So I sanded it to 2000 grit and then put a polish to it. After that I applied Neo Tac Controll it and suddenly the ball would hook! So I took it to league play and had 30 strikes that night! If I never use it again it was worth the $30.

I just picked up this old gem, and it's a real versatile piece. It's an obedient slave - you throw it straight up the back, and it goes straight. When you put some hand into it and turn it, it really wakes up and hooks. Not a skid-flip ball (for me, anyway.) Goes smoothly through the heads and has a nice continuous arc. Boy does this thing HIT! It's NOISY! And I can flatten it out and shoot 10 pins with it, too. BUT, if you get lazy and don't put any effort into it, the ball doesn't hook much, so you can still chuck it out there when the backends are cooked. If I had to go with only 1 ball, this would be my second choice (see Brunswick Speed Zone.)

The Quantum series is the best thing Brunswick ever did. Now for the ball in question. I Have always wanted a Quantum but I was not going to pay 300+ dollars for one. However I wish I had they are worth every penny ( at least this one is ). This ball gets down the lane with ease and just goes right for the pocket. I have no idea why Brunswick does not make them any more but they should. As said above you can still find these balls on E-bay so If you can pick one up. I hope to get the Fire Quantum in the near future.

I managed to get a couple of these when the LPBT came to town, all those years ago. This is the best way for a young bowler, or anyone else, to grab the newsest technology without selling an organ. If you're not already aquainted with a pro, as I was, buddy up to one during the tournament. They love having someone "caddy" for them. The ball was well worth a little groveling. We are all aware of the storied introduction of the first $200 ball. While many dismissed it as an overhyped publicity ball, many others were intrigued by a ball the pro shop owners had to go to Quantum School for, if they hoped to sell it. The cover was agressive, yet controllable. The core, powerful and forgiving. The carry was awesome. Changes in hand position, speed, or "hit" only caused differences in degree of reaction. Never out of control. Early rolling by nature, everyone but "coast to coast" crankers could find something playable in this ball. With a smooth, powerful move to the pocket and acceler
