For pure Fire power, this one starts out clean through the front, stronger on the back, with powerful hook and unstoppable momentum.

The review: Where do I start? I've had this ball longer than most of my equipment and I've been quite pleased with it. The ball performs incredibly on a wide variety of conditions from light to heavy with a predictable but hard arcing turn and pin action that's pleasing to the eye. It carries light shots better than any ball I own, and I often find myself moving right a board (lefty) or so just so I can hit the pocket lighter. This is not to say that the ball is unforgiving when you hit the pocket flush or even a tad heavy. However, if you come in a little to strongly, you are likely to leave a 7 pin (or 10 pin for you righties). The ball's only reall down fall is it's susceptibility to over react on dry lanes. Although I'm aware that it's not designed for such conditions, I would have been more impressed if I could still at least control it. The ball never rolls out, though, which is great but in effect makes it's over reaction on drier lanes even worse. The materials: The Fire Q

Got this drilled with the pin on top of ring and cg 2 inches right from middle of the palm. this ball HOOKS!! and i mean HOOKS!! has very good length and the hitting power is explosive. doesnt leave much 10's which is a good thing of course. this is a very good ball and should be picked up for anyone that bowls on mid oil lanes. just keep this ball of dry lanes. i kept over hooking the ball hitting the 4and 6 pin. drives me crazy. got mine off ebay for a very good price. overall i can't find anything else i dislike about this ball.

Like previous posts, why did this ball get discontinued ? This is one of the more hard hitting ball in the Quantum line. I use it on nights with a lot of oil, I myself don't notice the ball "bouncing or jumping" on the lane, mine rolls smooth and crushes the pocket. It does have a wicked hook on the backend, but with the mushroom weight block that is to be expected. I also got my Fire Quantum on e-bay for about 70 bucks, and I just bought a Quantum Elite. As long as I can get the Quantum bowling balls I have no need to purchase any of the newer equipment out there.

The ball I have is 14 lb. and is a 2.75" pin out & 3.1 oz. top weight. I had it drilled with the pin just above ring finger and the center of gravity 1 1/8" right of the center of the grip. I ended up with 1/4 oz. finger weight and 3/4 oz. of side weight. This is a great ball for medium to medium/dry conditions. I was sliding on 25 and rolling over 17 at the arrows at about 15mph. The ball was clean through the heads with a very strong predictable break on the backend. This ball hits like a freight train and carries very well. Overall this is one of the best balls I have ever used and will probably pick up another one and drill it a little different.

After reading all the positive reviews, I knew I needed to try this ball out. I was lucky enough to have someone whom I love very much order it for me off E-Bay as a gift. I believe the cost was $65 + shipping. I had wanted to try the Monster Bruiser for a while now, and this is supposed to be the predecessor. Anyway, it has a 1-2" Pin, 3.5oz top weight and is 16lbs even. The ball is great. It gets over on fresh oil. On the dry lanes, it is a little strong. The balls carries very well. I would highly recommend it. Now when will Brunswick re-release the rest of the quantums for us to use?!?<scr

I've kept this ball over the years becuase it's super and for ABC tourney, World Team Challanges, sport shots, etc. Decided to pull it out for league and was I surprised!! Shot 707 on fresh oil on synthetic lanes!! Ball hooked way more than I remembered. Not too much skid, great midlane roll and a big arc/snap backend. Carried the corners for most of the night. My mistakes were high not light. Ball seems to roll like nothing else I've thrown in years. On today's lanes it seemed much more aggressive & flippy. Here's the kicker: after I was done in league I took out my Inferno and to my surprise the Fire Quantum hooked at least 4-5 more borads than the Inferno. Granted they are not drilled the same but I was shocked thatr the Fire handled the carry-down way better than the Inferno did. It rolled up sooner and came off the oil/carrydown harder. If you have a chance to pick one of these up - do it!! It's well worth it

I've thrown my first 300 with this ball and have (5) 700 series with it since purchasing it off ebay from bowlingball.com Recommed this ball highly. I like this ball enough to purchase a second one while they are still avaliable. Just in case something happens to this one. I hope to continue seeing my game improve. I have gone from a high 180 average to between 200 and 208 on three leagues at three different houses. Have found this ball very adaptable to the different patterns on the lanes. Have only thrown the ball with it in the polished form. Has anyone tried it with a dull finish? I also have tried the Forest Green Quantum but found it hooked too much for me. Thanks and may God bless.<sc

Got this ball on ebay for 70 from bowlingball.com. Best investment ever for bowling. I've been bowling for 2 months before buying this ball. I was hoping to be more consistant with this ball. I bowl my first 200 game, then did it again a week later. Ball has good length, thus providing strong back end reaction, and it hits the pins hard. However, ball tends to break earlier in drier lane, making it hard to be consistent since that first week. I tried putting a little bit more speed on it, it corrected the problem, but left a few 10 pin. Should i polish the ball, or just add oil??? P.S. polishing the ball with Ultimate black magic works great, add some more length on the ball.<scri

Hooking and hit. What more do you want to know? =) Now I know why it used to cost too much back in the 90's. It's hooking and hitting ability is just phenomenal for me and the sound it generates once it hits the pins is, for lack of a better adjective, "shattering". People from the bowling alley were actually watching me from behind and keeps asking me what kind of ball is it, how come it sounds that way..etc.. and how the heck did i got a discontinued ball...... I was almost tempted to say "time machine"....hehehe....Oh yeah, I got it for less than $100.

If you can find this ball anywhere, even if it is used, buy it! You will not be disappointed with its results. And throw me a bone if anyone finds a stock of them, cause I will sure love to buy another 1 or 2 and drill them up in other layouts. Anybody that has some information concerning this ball or needs some, please feel free to email me. I am always open to others opinions and stories concerning this ball or any other Quantam ball, as well as Storm equipment too. By the way, I shot my first 300 with this as well as several others with it, and one of those was during cosmic bowl with it!!

I just picked this ball up on e bay and am very happy with it. It looks nice hooks hard to the pocket and will get you off the rain if you push it out too far. This is a fun ball for leagues because no one has seen one. I roll this ball over the 15th board it will flare out to about the9 th or 10th and just smath the pins. I mean this thing just throws them all over, you will love the pin action with this ball. Go get one!!! 22 2 2 2 2 2 2 2<scr
