900 Global Zen Gold Label Bowling Ball

The Zen Gold Label will be the cleanest and most responsive Zen to date! This ball was hand-crafted to give you the ability to open your angles and not feel like the ball is going to miss the breakpoint. Featuring our Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Cover combined with the Meditate Symmetric Core, the Gold Label will dominate any medium-heavy condition you can throw at it.

The more than proven Meditate Symmetric Core is the engine driving the Gold Label. Since the cover is so clean and responsive…this core makes perfect sense. Due to its massive size and readability, this single density symmetric core will not miss the spot as others can with skid/flip bowling balls. The low RG/high differential symmetric core will perfectly even out the angularity of the cover. .

The 900 Global Zen Gold Label has a low RG value of 2.49 a high differential of 0.051. 900 Global came out with a Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Cover combined with the Meditate Symmetric Core, the Gold Label will dominate any medium-heavy condition you can throw at it. As seen before in the Zen Series, the Meditate Symmetric Core with a low RG and high differential along sides a very clean cover as the Reserve Blend 801 Pearl cover will give you a very clean look through the mid lane and smooth and controllable backend reaction. Whether you have a super high rev rate or a super low rev rate, or a rev rate somewhere in the middle, this Low RG, High Differential, Symmetrical core produces a constant stable motion off your hand and all the way through the pin deck. In comparison to the 900 Global Xponent, the Xponent is the poster child for a benchmark ball fits right in the middle of a Summit and the Zen Gold Label. The Xponent will very smooth, continuous, and very predictable. The Zen Gold Label will be the perfect 1-2 punch on a house condition or on tour where you need a ball for the transition / burn. In the bag, will be the Summit, Xponent, Zen Gold Label and Storm Hyroad Pearl

900 Global Zen Gold Label Coverstock: 801 Pearl Coverstock Finish: Reacta Gloss Core: Meditate Symmetric (14pd) RG: 2.50 Differential: 0.051 Layout: 5 1/2 x 4 x 3 - 2LS Layout Extras: 2 1/8 Finger Depth, "X" - 4 1/2 D and 1 Inch Left Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The Zen Gold Label features a pearl coverstock combined with the famous Meditate symmetric core. The Reacta Gloss finish of this cover will provide the most skid/flip reaction we have in the 800 series. For me, I went with a 2K, 3K over the OOB finish after testing this ball. Currently, for THS conditions I'm rolling on two older HPL surfaces that have a lot of friction. I noted above the slight surface change. For me, my high rev rate and slower ball speed preferes some surface on most pearls. As a general rule, I personally prefer more control of bigger pearls in the arsenal. I was able to test the Zen Gold Label on a 43 foot typical house pattern. The Gold Label for me was an easy read as I sent it down the lane. Along with several other testers most have been impressed with how easy the ball gets to the spot. Carry was exceptional with the Zen Gold Label once I put a touch of surface on the ball. Compared to two original Zens (1500 polished and Reacta Gloss) the Gold Label goes much longer through the front part of the lane. In addition the Gold Label has a bit more angle over the original Zens. I'm excited to see how long I can stay in the Gold Label as lanes transition. More to come on this ball. Be sure to try out the 900 Global Zen Gold Label and fill that gap for league and medium volume patterns. I'm definitely excited to use the Gold label in league competion. 900 Global brought us the Zen Gold Label which features the 801 Pearl Coverstock with the same core as the original Zen, the Meditate Core. As I was a big fan of the original Zen, along with everyone else, I was really excited to throw this one. The New 801 cover is clean and very responsive downlane. The new ball release from 900 Global is the Zen Gold Label. Using the same Meditate core but using the New Reserve Blend 901 pearl coverstock. I drilled mine with a 4 1/2 pin, pin above fingers. I was only one of the few who just thought the original Zen ball was just okay. For me the Zen was early had a lot of midlane to the ball motion. Which with my roll it was conditional for me. But with the new pearl cover, the Gold label is much cleaner and responsive down lane for me. I have tried the Gold Label out on a couple sport patterns and the typical house shot. Our centers have 20+ old Brunswick Pro Anvil lanes. On 45 ft Sport shot with lower volume, I started with my Storm Summit on the fresh, after about a game and half the Summit start to bog down to much to get the ten out, so I switched to the Gold Label and it was a perfect fit. As it was able to to get down lane easier and store the needed energy to get the 10 out. On the house shot I actually had to move a good amount to the right with feet and target as it was just too clean on the fresh. But was able to chase it left once the heads broke down a little. Then that is where the Gold label really shined the most. Gave me a lot of miss room downlane. I have drilled 3-4 of the Gold labels for customers, and all are really surprised with the amount of backend the Gold label has, especially compared to the original Zen. The Gold label has also been #1 at most of the Storm Match makers that we have held so far. This ball is going to be a top seller period its that good! 900 Global Zen Gold Label Layout 5 x 4 x 1.5 Style – stroker Ball Speed – 14-15 mph at pins Condition – house pattern - older HPL surface Surface – box condition Had great success with OG Zen. Absolutely didn’t match up with the Master and didn’t drill the Soul. After watching some of the other staffer reviews, I decided to give this one a go. Clean is an understatement even with my slow speed. My first couple shots out of the box went forever. Had to make a big jump right before seeing some motion and was still super long. Back to the bag and grab a used 2000 pad. After lightly going over the ball, it made a much better motion to the pocket for me. I’m still of the belief that I could go over it again with a little more pressure. But I’m going to get a few more games in before trying that. I see this ball being a win for slower ball speed. Those bowlers shouldn’t have any issues getting it down the lane in box condition. Additionally, for those that like to play the dry down lane it should be good. Curious to see some higher speed / rev players use it. I’d think the box finish with higher ball speed wouldn’t be a good matchup. But rev rate might compensate for that or a much drier/flatter condition.

The 900 Global Zen Gold Label is the newest addition to the 800 series line and features the proven Meditate core. Compared to the original Zen, the Gold Label offers a cleaner cover and more downline motion. The Reserve Blend 801 Cover is weaker than S77 Pearl, but the core still provides predictable ball motion. I drilled my Gold Label 4.5x4x4 to help it blend the lane and see a similar shape to my original Zen. It is slightly cleaner and sharper; however, I think that this piece tops the bag over my original as far as ball motion is concerned. I have been using the Zen Gold Label on house and sport patterns over virtually every part of the lane and it does not disappoint. If you liked the original Zen but need something that will not read the midlane as early, this is the piece for you! PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. The Gold Label is a good looking black ball with just enough purple shine showing though to make it a beauty on the shelf and on the lanes. I would call this a medium – strong ball that has a nice predictable back end motion and excellent hit. I have rolled the Gold Label on two different house patterns with very nice results. This ball fits between my IQ Ruby and Exotic Gem in total hook. I have not tried this ball on a flatter sport shot but feel it would match up pretty good. The Zen Gold Label has already been selling well and has been getting nice feedback. This ball should fit many styles of play and could be used as a benchmark pearl ball. Summary: The Zen Gold Label has more length and backend than the original. The Zen Gold Label can allow deeper lines than the Zen for carry. This ball should be an excellent seller for Global. This ball has done nothing but knock expectations out of the park. I loved the original Zen, though found at times it was maybe a little too early when I needed it to float. This is when the Phaze 5 came into play, with numbers of 2.48 and .051 it allowed me to get into a zone where I knew it would float the front but make the corner down lane. When I saw the numbers of the Gold Label being 2.49 and .051 I knew I was going to be in love. My Phaze 5 being pin down, it was a no brainer for me to go pin up (50 x 4.5 x 45) to give me a little different option. Out of the box, this was a little too clean for my liking to I scratched it with a 3000 and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. This has given me the perfect compliment to my Phaze 5 when needing to get out of my original Zen. It gives effortless roll through the front while still making the corner down lane. I love dark bowling balls and this one is proving to become another staple in the bag just as the original was.

User Specs: Left handed, 375 rev rate, 17mph speed, 45 degree angle of rotation, 7 degrees tilt Layout: 4 1/2 x 2 The Zen Gold Label is a new symmetric ball in 900 Global’s 800 series line. It features the new Reserve Blend 801 Pearl coverstock, which is a cleaner cover than the S77 Response Pearl from the original Zen, and which creates quite a difference between the two ball reactions. The core is the Meditate core from the other Zen releases, which comes in at a 2.49 RG and a .051 differential in 15 pounds. The Gold Label reaction reminds me very little of the original Zen, and actually feels to me like a stronger and sharper version of the Fate. I’ve used the Gold Label on several different conditions with a couple different surfaces. First, the box Reacta Gloss surface hasn’t been great for me, so I resurfaced it to 1000 grit on a resurfacing machine, and then finished it with Storm’s Step 2 compound. The result was a clean round arc. Like the original Zen, it’s a very balanced reaction, clean without being too long, strong on the backend without being jerky, and the strong core is very stable and rolly which creates a lot of control. However unlike the original Zen, the Gold Label is easier down the lane, sharper, and more naturally continuous which makes it ultimately a quite different look. I ended up taking a worn 3000 pad to it by hand to crack the shine to blend it out a little but still retain the general reaction. The Gold Label has been a first ball out of the bag for league since I drilled it. The Fate had been that ball previously, but it wasn’t quite strong enough. The Gold Label cover feels extremely similar and the core is stronger, so the familiar feel but extra bit of strength and friction response put it in the perfect place for me to start with it in league. I’ve also been able to finish the set with the same ball as it handles angle exceptionally well, it might be the best symmetric ball at covering boards that I’ve ever thrown.

Ben Lapointe Layout: 5.25 x 4.25 x 3 PAP: 1 1/4'' up and 4 7/8 over The Zen Gold Label is the next installment in the 800 performance line for 900 Global and it hooks A LOT. For me, with the way I have the ball laid out. I found this to be one of the cleanest ball I have thrown in recent memory. The big Meditate core, found in the rest of the Zen line, shows very pronounced hook down lane, and a lot of it. I found this ball very beneficial on the burn, like most clean balls are. However, I found this ball super useful on fresh long patterns when I needed lots of hook down lane. I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for something to get through dry fronts, as well as lower rev bowlers looking to maximize left to right ball motion. Bowl up a Storm!!!

This ball is Amazing! If you loved the original Zen....you better have ordered one of these or going to today! I can't say anything bad about this ball. Why, because I bought 2. Had one drilled pin up and the other pin down. I have to be able to throw this ball! Pin up goes long and hooks, pin down hooks a little sooner with a little less back end. So I can start with one, and switch to the other because they roll so well! Ball surface just hit them with a 4000 pad. Out of the box, myself...I had to watch my speed. But I don't hook the ball as much as some people do. The ball is TOP SHELF! Great job 900 Global!!

Hands down favorite pearl in my bag right now. When i threw the Zen, I always felt like it could have been a little better when it came to clearing the fronts, this ball, does just that! It clears the mids with ease, but rarely shows signs of over under and being too clean. The energy off the spot is insane. I preach this ball to anyone who likes to stand left, throw right, and watch it come back. Also, that rich deep purple is gorgeous! Cant not love this ball.

900 Global Zen Gold Label – Mediate core with Batch #801 pearl reactive cover. Layout: 80 x 4 ½ x 35 – finished with Storm Reacta Gloss The ongoing saga of the Zen line has just hit GOLD LEVEL! Here is what I found: Knowing the legacy the 900 Global Zen line has been, I was looking forward to drilling this one a little stronger than prior Zens I used in the past. After going with a long front number and a power pin to pap layout, I witnessed the strongest angular symmetric ball I have EVER used. Mine rolled so “quiet” down the lane; it did not think I would see any reaction until it reached the pins – AND BOY! I was quite surprised when the ball started over the farther tracer board, it woke up and turned and faced the pocket like a mean Tasmanian Devil. I was gainfully giggling like a little school kid and was quite happy to see the ball react like that. Shot after Shot, less angle or more angles the Zen Gold Label was pure MONEY. Even after the lanes were blown up by a ball demo – it was very responsive and held up very well. If you are looking for the BIG hook pearl ball, the Gold Label is perfect for you. The Zen Gold Label starts with 900 Global's proven Meditate Core. Then 900 Global wrapped that Meditate Core with the all-new Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Cover, and this combination of Core and Cover has proven to be another 900 Global striking success. So, let's take a closer look at what makes the Zen Gold Label such an impressive new release. The heart of the Zen Gold Label is the Meditate Core. And for that straighter and down and in players like me, the Mediate Core delivers the strength, consistency, and power we can depend on. I love how the Mediate Core builds relentless momentum as it revs its way down the mid-lane. And as the Zen Gold Label turns off the pattern, the Meditate Core stands up without hesitation, turning that momentum into a powerful explosion as it strikes the pins. And the best part for us "rev -challenged" players is the Meditate Core's continuation. Even when I knew I missed or was weak off my hand, I could count on the Meditate Core to keep its rolling thunder all the way through the back of the deck and carry those dreaded weak ten pins we straighter and rev-challenged players tend to see! The all-new Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Coverstock was a pleasant surprise for me. I liked how the Reserved Blend 801 with the Reacta-Gloss box finish created a crisp and clean motion as 900 Global claimed it would. But then, when I hit the Reserved Blend 801 with a 2000-grit Abralon pad, my Zen Gold Label came alive and was amazing! I loved the smooth and well-rounded motion the Reserve Blend 801 provided in the mid-lane. And it had a decisively brisk and clean motion off the pattern without being jumpy or erratic as the lane condition started breaking down. So overall, the Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Coverstock gives the Zen Gold Label a predictable and stable motion you can count on throughout an entire night of THS league bowling. In closing, 900 Global has added another success to their Zen line with the Zen Gold Label. Straighter and down and in, players like me will love the smooth and well-defined motion the Reserve Blend 801 provides and can count on the striking power of the proven Meditate Core. Together, they make the Zen Gold Label a powerful new weapon for any league bowler's arsenal! The new 801 Reserve cover is clean and responsive down-lane giving you a great companion piece to the original Zen. I tested the Zen Gold Label in league. Our house pattern being longer and higher volume, the stronger balls have been the better performers. While the Zen Gold Label is definitely strong enough to throw on a fresh lane, it really shines as the lanes transition. I threw a few shots on the fresh, by increasing speed and playing closer to the friction. It was a little too easy for the ball to overreact in this part of the lane so I put it away until game two when the fronts started to go. The Gold Label really surprised me with it's easy length through the early friction. As I moved left I simply increased my angle and the Gold Label kept coming around. I ended up having to give it a little bit of air time over the corner of the left gutter by the end of game 3 but if anything it might have looked even more impressive in that part of the lane. I think the Gold Label will be really popular for people who love their Zen and look for a ball to transition to when it gets to be a bit too early and round down'lane. It's great for transition and for guys who don't need or want to really ball down when they have to move way in. Layout: 4.5 x 4 x 3 Surface: 2000 Grit The new Zen Gold label brings back the meditate core with the new 801 blend pearl coverstock. This new coverstock gives that length and very angular motion we all love to see. I was able to test this ball on a typical house pattern and the Earl Anthony PBA pattern. On the house pattern, I saw a lot of length and very angular backend that made it tough for me to use it early on the fresh. In the transition, the strength of the core allowed it to read the oil stronger like the original zen but the new coverstock gave it a much more backend motion. For my higher rev rate, this was not good for me as it made the ball more erratic. I took the polish off the cover with a 2000 grit abralon pad to blend the reaction more. This gave me more of a predictable ball reaction while still giving me great continuation. For those bowlers who love angular ball reaction, this is going to be a great ball for the transition or on the fresh depending on how much friction that the lanes have. On the PBA Earl Anthony Pattern, I saw the same type of ball reaction as the house pattern; pretty long and angular. It was certainly harder to control the reaction on the flatter pattern. On the fresh, the reaction was too strong on the backend to give it a chance. A ball like the new Xponent would handle the fresh much more ideally. When the lanes started to transition, the ball came alive. I was able to open up my angles and throw it to the friction faster and the ball angled hard off of it and went through the pins really well. For me, the core and coverstock combination definitely needs a fair amount of oil to work well. Patterns where the oil volume is low, this ball will have a hard time being controlled. This ball needs no introduction, the Zen Gold Label is the newest Zen ball and personally I think this one is way better than the original Zen. It has the same Meditate core found in all the other Zen’s but has the new Reserve Blend 801 Pearl cover which creates a cleaner, stronger back end reaction than the Zen. I drilled mine 5.5 x 5 x 5 and like I said in my opening sentence, I believe this is the best Zen ball made. I thought the original for me was a little too mid lane revvy at times for a pearl ball but when it matched up for me it was obviously all the hype behind it. The Gold Label is cleaner for me which gets rid of that mid lane shape that I saw in the original but keeps the backend reaction the same. Later into blocks or higher friction patterns is where this ball is going to excel and I believe I will be able to use this as the ball in front of my trusty Fate when the lanes start to hook and I can’t wait to have this 1-2 back end combination in my bag!

It is the cleanest and most responsive Zen to date with the ALL NEW Reserve Blend 801 Pearl Cover and Meditate Symmetric Core. Finished with Reacta-Gloss, the Reserve Blend 801 Cover will be more angular than the S77 Response Cover found on the original Zen. The Gold Label is designed for medium-heavy conditions and is designed to allow bowlers of all styles to open their angles without missing the breakpoint. The Zen Gold Label gave me a great look sliding on 30, looking 18 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 7-8. As the lanes broke down I was able to continue to move left and open my angles and the Gold Label continued to read the pattern well. I expect the Gold Label to work well on medium patterns and later in tournaments when the lanes have transitioned. When compared to the original Zen, I was able to stand and look in the same place, but the ball reaction was different. The Gold Label was much cleaner and got down the lane a couple more feet before making its move, which created a more angular shape than the original Zen. This has to be my favorite symmetrical pearl ball to date! 900 Global introducing the new Zen Gold Label. The same reliable Zen core with the new 801 Blend Pearl Coverstock. HOLY BACKEND MOTION! If you need a clean reliable option that’ll come back from a different zip code, this is the ball for you! I see this ball being the house shot killer and for sport shots, this ball is going to be my go-to when I need something bigger for a pearl symmetrical to open the lane up with. In my opinion, this has to be the best Zen yet. The most shape and most continuation I have seen from the Zen line to date! I cant wait for all of you to have this piece in your hand. I know its going to be a home run for a lot of you and make sure to pick yours up at your local Storm VIP Proshop.

This features the proven meditate symmetric core and the new reserve blend 801 pearl cover. This cover has brand new tech which makes this ball cleaner and angular compared to the original Zen. What I found with this ball is a ball that skids right through the fronts and gives a strong angular motion downlane. This ball will fit in when the lanes start to break down and you need to get left and throw it to the spot. This ball is going to have more angle then a Phaze V in my opinion and a great option for people who where looking for a cleaner sharper Zen. This ball will be a ball above the !Q tour ruby and a good step down from the Storm Summit. It is also going to pair great with the 900 Global Xponent for a 1-2 punch.
