Eternity Pi Cover: 901 Solid Reactive Core: Epoch RG: 2.47 RG (16lbs) Diff: 0.052 Int Diff: 0.014 My layout: 4 x 4 x 2 The Pi is a big solid Asymmetrical ball that I see working best on medium-heavy to heavy conditions. The 901 solid cover is super strong and is a good combination strength and shape. The low rg asymm core combined with the big cover, makes the Pi a medium response high end ball for sure. I have found that the Pi is best when the on the fresh and on higher volume oil patterns. Once the lanes start to transition, the Pi will just flat out hook too much. The Eternity Pi is the newest iteration to the Eternity line. The Pi features the same core and coverstock as the original Eternity except the Pi is the solid version. Because the Pi has the solid cover it is a little earlier and smoother than the original Eternity. Although for a solid asymmetric I wouldn’t define it as slow and smooth. Compared to other ones the Pi is definitely a little cleaner and more continuous. For example the Gem series from Roto Grip is known for being very strong and pretty early and smooth. The thing I love most about the Pi is that it is one of the very few solid asyms that I can move way in with and it still gets through the pins like a symmetric. Which is very hard to find! So if you currently own a Gem and another stronger asym and need a choice off of it that goes a tad longer and more continuous through the pins then look no further than the Eternity Pi!

As good as it gets at the top of your bag. All the hook you could ever need while still having an incredible amount of downrange motion. If you have difficulty getting super strong balls to go threw the pins the correct way for you. The Eternity PI is definitely a ball you need to put in the bag.

This ball grabs!! The Pi might have the most midlane traction of any ball I've ever had. You better have a good bit of oil up front for this beast; it is at home on fresh or long oil conditions, whether it be house or sport shots. This is the type of ball I want for the first game at USBC Nationals, for sure. It digs in the midlane but doesn't quit; the continuation is fantastic as long as the conditions are right. Once the lanes start drying up, it is time to put the Pi away and go to something like an Eternity or Summit. The closest comparison to the Eternity Pi would be the Gem, though I think the Gem rolls just a touch earlier.

900 Global Eternity PI PAP 5 7/8 over and 3/8 up Layout 5 x 4 x 3.5 Style – stroker Ball Speed – 14–15 mph at pins Condition – house pattern - older HPL surface Surface – took surface up to 4000 abralon I was looking for a bigger asymmetrical to help blend out some issues I’ve been having with wet/dry conditions. Used a variation of my normal benchmark layout moving the pin buffer to 3.5 inches which puts it inside my ring finger. With the surface adjustment, I had no issues getting the ball through the fronts with my slow ball speed and forward roll. Ball made a predictable move to the pocket with continuation. If I get on a heavier pattern, I see no issues with pulling out an abralon pad and taking the surface down. For me, I found it more useful than the Reality. I’d drilled a couple of those and never seemed to match up. That ball was slow for me and didn’t continue nearly as well as the PI. As with any bigger asymmetrical ball, know when to put it up. My progression has been from the PI to the Virtual Energy Blackout. Creating a very complimentary 1-2 punch as the PI starts to burn up. The ball seems to have a good window for a variety of players and styles. Another great release from the Global team.

The 900 Global Eternity Pi is the solid cover sequel to the previously released Eternity. The new reserve blend 901 cover is wrapped around the Epoch asymmetric core that comes in at a 2.49RG, an 0.050 differential and a PSA value of 0.014 ensures that this is more than enough ball for fresh oil and heavier volumes. I drilled mine 5x3x5 to have as much control as possible which proved to be the case. For me, it's a tumbly end over end motion that I am able to keep in front of me, and also chase in just about as far as I want as long as I can find enough head oil due to the flare lines being a little tighter so a little more energy is conserved. GREAT option for speed/rev matched players who like to start in something readable and continuous. Out of the box, it may not be enough for speed dominant players without a slight surface adjustment. It's a great complement to the Eternity, which I saw as very angular and responsive. Overall a very worthy counterpart to the original Eternity. Compared to the Reality, I actually see the Pi as a little less motion overall, a little cleaner and a little smoother down the lane. You could conceivably fit both into one arsenal if you are looking for very specific motions or bowling on a lot of patterns.

Strongest ball ive thrown Layout: 50x5x50 / 5x4.25x2.75 Two hander, 450 rpm, 15.5 mph This ball is the definition of big, strong, rolly, asym solid. When you hear of a ball that just rolls hard and rolls early, this is exactly that. For me, the only success ive had with it is when theres a significant amount of oil on sport patterns, it just hooks too much and too early for normal house shot conditions for my game. But i have seen it work amazing well for low rev or speed dominant players because it gives the ball a chance to slow down and hook and they can play their game much easier. So i think its the perfect option if youre a bowler like that or if you bowl on a slicker/heavier condition. Its definitely strong to be first ball out of the bag material and can be pretty versatile with different layouts or surface changes. So I chose a weaker layout to give the stronger asymmetrical core some length and if the 901 Reserve Blend cover was weaker than the S84 Response for me I could just add surface to make it read the oil sooner. This ball is an early rolling asymmetrical piece but the 901 Reserve Blend cover is cleaner and smoother for me so give the ball some length. The out of box finish gave me a lot of over under on the local house shots since the centers use lower volumes and the fronts tend to go during league. After making my video review I did adjust the surface to 1000 abralon by hand and this eliminated any over/ under reaction. The 1000 grit helped me blend the wet/dry and I was able to move left into more oil. This ball is slightly weaker and more responsive off the dry than the Reality for me. To me the differences are that the Pi is quite a bit stronger, gets down lane further and has a stronger backend. What I really like about the Pi is it's not like every other big solid Asym ball that I have thrown, this does not puke out when the lanes dry out. The Pi will react off of the dry and give a good read. What else I like about this ball is if you have wet dry conditions and you tug into the pond it will still react on the back end as well. Layout: 5 x 4 x 3.5 VLS The Eternity Pi is a solid version of the Eternity Pearl, giving you an earlier much rounder shape than the original Eternity. Despite the similar core numbers to the Reality, the Pi provides a much different shape landing between the Reality and the original Eternity. The Reality digs in much earlier and has a rounder shape than the Pi, the Pi clears the heads a bit better and has a little more pop on the back end, especially after it gets a bit of lane shine on it. I drilled up my 900 GLOBAL ETERNITY PI with a strong layout of 4.5 x 3.5 x 2. This puts the pin above my ring finger and the MB just slightly above my thumb at a 2 o clock orientation. I have thrown it out of the box which is 2000 and touched it up again with a 2000 CTD pad which is the same as a 1500 SiaAir pad. I put this one up with my stronger balls that I use when I see a slicker or longer pattern. I threw it against my EXOTIC GEM, REALITY, and DNA. Compared right away to these, the PI was longer thru the fronts other than the EXOTIC which has a pearl cover. My DNA was earlier and smoother while the REALITY got more length and a rounder motion while the PI was stronger down lane than either. The EXOTIC was the ball to move down with when the transition hit as it cleared the fronts better than the PI. The EXOTIC's motion was comparable to the PI in the back of the lane. Put this one in your bag if your looking for a stronger piece that clears the fronts better than the duller pieces but is not too straight like the pearls can be out of the gate.

However, much like the original Eternity, the Pi is still really good at clearing the front part of the lane before digging in and reading the midlane, this helps the Pi retain energy and produce a strong and continuous backend motion. The PI has a little edge over the Magic Gem with being more versatile. I carry both the PI and the Reality with me to most tournaments, but would take the Magic Gem in place of the PI if the oil pattern was a heavy oil pattern. The addition to the 900 Global line is the Eternity PI. It comes with the Epoch Asymmetric Core from the original Eternity with the ALL-NEW Reserve Blend 901 Cover. I drilled mine with a 3 x 6 x 2 layout. First impressions was wow this ball is strong!. The solid cover really allows the PI to dig in early and keep going. I needed something to bowl on the short and or flatter patterns. I added some Storm step 2 to the surface to give me a little more length for my medium speed. I have had the most success on the shorter sport patterns of lengths less than 40ft. It gave me that heavy roll and control especially on when the backends are very clean. I can also use it on house or the medium to long patterns, but I need to hit the cover with 1000-2000 abralon pad. Very versatile ball. Its right up with other big asymmetrical the Reality, Gem's, Nova's. But the PI is has a little unique ball motion. For me the PI carries real well also in keeping the pins low. The PI is above the Phaze II , Zens and TNT line and maybe not as early as the Gems but just as strong just a little different ball motion. I did change to cover to 4000 abralon (no polished) and allowed it to lane shine. Super rolly but pushes down lane on the fresh with ease. Something I would use before the THS starts to transition. Compared to my Reality it's a little earlier (layout) but not as sharp. The shape I get and see fits as my first ball out the bag and will definitely do its job at the pins. 900 Global Eternity Pi ball review VLS 4 1/2 x 3 5/8 x 3 1/8 The Eternity Pi is a ball I was looking forward to after the original Eternity was so good. The same Epoch asymmetrical core wrapped in the new Reserve Blend 901 solid Coverstock. I tend to like big asymmetrical solids so one with a core I like will usually roll well. I find this ball to be sharper off the spot then my DNA. Still not a quick response but gives more on the back. Definitely a ball that needs to see some oil but has some versatility. I tend to use it for straighter angles on tighter shots but have also seen teammates use it from much farther left and have success. For me, when the DNA is too smooth I can use the Pi to give me a little more. If you are looking for a ball that will dig in when you need it to, the Pi is for you. Dave Adams Storm staff

The Eternity Pi is a new asymmetric ball in 900 Global’s 900 Series line. It features the new Reserve Blend 901 Solid coverstock, which feels similar to the previous S84 solid cover stock used in this line on the original Reality. The core is the Epoch core from the original Eternity which comes in at a 2.49 RG, a .050 differential, and a .014 intermediate differential in 15 pounds. The Eternity Pi acts exactly like you’d expect on paper, it’s a stronger, earlier, and smoother version of the original Eternity. This ball has been used on several different conditions with a couple different surfaces. The surface was initially adjusted from box down to 1000 grit on a resurfacing machine, then finished with Reacta Skuff to get it up to a 3000ish grit sheen. The result was a fairly clean but stable reaction up front, with a firm, tumbly, directional finish down lane. The Pi reminds me of a few recent balls, it’s like an earlier and smoother Super Nova or stronger Nova, but it also reminds me of some throwback balls, most notably the Crux, Lock, and Alpha Crux. It’s comfortably lengthy, it gets traction and controls the midlane without starting to HOOK or move too early, and the finish downlane is the right blend of response and control. It punches hard enough to get the pins down, but is controllable enough that you won’t have to fight an overly strong backend move. It’s also somewhat directional, meaning that it goes in the direction you roll it. It’s not predominantly continuous, but it’s also not predominantly forward. It’s not quite as strong of a ball as a Gem or a DNA, it’s in a more frequently usable zone while still handling heavy oil well. No worries of overlap with the Reality, the shapes are completely different, the Reality is more like a stronger Phaze 2 or XPonent, while the Pi is more like a stronger Summit.

I liked the OG Eternity but it was a little hook stoppy at times. The Pi picks up earlier and rounds off and continues a lot better being a solid! I love the combination of early roll and continuation with the core which I thought was a slower core anyway and lent itself more towards a solid version. The Eternity PI is a very usable aysm solid from 900 Global that I can see myself using on sport and shim alike.

I first tried to throw the Eternity Pi on a house shot without adjusting the surface… for me, this was not a good idea. I am a rev dominant bowler & the coverstock was too strong, causing it to hook early and burn up by the time it hit the pins. So for me, I had to shine the coverstock up, and the ball has been the first ball out of the bag every time I bowl now. I recently bowled against someone who shot 760 against me, throwing the Pi brand new out of the box, but it worked as he was a speed dominant player. I think the Pi is great for house shots with heavier volume and of course will be great on sport shots as well. Have a great day everyone.

At 15 pounds the RG is 2.49 with a differential of .050 and an intermediate differential of .014. The Eternity Pi is much stronger than the original Eternity. This is of course due to the solid cover stock on the Pi compared to the pearl Eternity. The Pi starts up very early, reading the lane a good 3 to 5 feet sooner than the original Eternity, and has a strong continuous motion down the lane. The Pi is an even stronger heavy oil option than the 900 Global Reality. The Pi hooks about 2 to 3 boards more than the Reality and has more controlled backend motion than the Reality. If you bowl on longer, heavier patterns, the new Etenity Pi is the ball you need to have in your bag!

The 900 Global Eternity Pi is crazy strong! Generally for a ball like this I would usually do 5 x 4 x 2 which is one of my favorite strong pin up drillings for many different balls but wanted to see how it would be with 5 x 4 x 1.5 and WOW it has such a strong motion down lane with the 1.5 buffer which I usually don’t do but glad I did to see how strong this ball can be and it is more than I expected for the Eternity line. For me being a lefty I was expecting to be able to use the Eternity Pi with the factory 2000 finish but it is really too strong even on a fresh house shot with my speed being 17 MPH at the pins. I was able to get a game with it then would have to put it away plus having to stand 25-30 and pitching it far left just gets you into trouble on a house shot with this type of ball. I added polished to see if I can get a lil more length and I did but its too much angle and leaving too many corner pins. This is for sure a ball that needs oil or if your really speed dominate on a house shot then you can for sure use this ball. It has great potential and excited to try it more on different patterns.
