Track Phenom Unleashed Bowling Ball

(29 reviews) Write a Review

Raw power Unleashed! That’s what you will see with the new Phenom Unleashed. If you want a ball that can open up the backend of the lane like no other, look no further. To get the length and backend necessary to create this animal, we altered the Phenom core profile by removing the bottom flip block and using a lighter load of the Fang particle. These changes and our Smooth finish create a ball with extra length and an extreme angular breakpoint. Put this Phenom in your hand and Unleash yourself on the competition.

Have had this ball for two years and still one of the best balls out there. Gives me just enough hook without over reacting to crush the pins. My absolute favorite ball and first out of the bag. Recently, I rolled a 225,234,258,236 for a 4 game 953 series. While everyone else was moving all over the place, I didn't have to move at all. This has been my money ball and I bowl the most consistent when I get to use it. Thanks Track for produceing one hell of a ball and keep it up. I reccoimmend this ball to anyone.

When I got the Phenom Unleashed, I was expecting a good solid medium-heavy oil ball. I was wrong, this ball is much weaker than the original Phenom. The original Phenom was very strong through out the entire lane and was great for the flood. So I was expecting this ball to be a little bit weaker. The Unleashed is a good ball for medium conditions. I find it to be very smooth with tremendous carry, for a particle of course. However, it is not very predictable on the backend. When I throw the Unleashed, it seems to have a different break point. This is defitianly not a benchmark ball. Although the particle cover is very durable, I do not recommend it because it does not really have an ideal lane condition.

When I first drilled this ball, i put 0 thumb and finger weight with half side. This ball slid, and slid, and did not grab the lane at all. Took it back to the proshop and Cliff the owner put almost an ounce of thumb and side in the ball. Took it out friday and bowled a 718 with it. It hooked in the fresh oil, only left me with 1 7pin, and was super controlable. Strong hook at the right breakpoint gave me the perfect angle to the pocket. I feel i can close my eyes when i throw this ball, and still get strikes. Highly recommend when drilled with thumb weight, don't worry, it won't take off too early on you, but the new drilling "woke the ball up" and now its a monster. Thanks for reading my review, and remember to.... Roll tha dice!<

This is the second Phenom I got on hand. The original phenom let myself have a lot incrediable images of amazing backend & driving through power. This unleash did good back-up job when phenom was early out of energy on mid-heavy lane. I had this ball as 1" pin, most of the people said pin in ball may not easy to handle. But I showed them is it true??Not at all!! You need a unleash ball prepare to break into local tournament with mid-heavy pattern. The nice pin carry will reduce your doubts when choose this animal as strike shot weapon.Don't be worried, few 10-pin shows in front of you,I promise!! Enjoy with this Unleash Baby!

Great ball that carries extremely well and revs up nice towards the end of the lane. This ball seems to find the good angles in all different lane conditions; can be thrown down and in from the corners in heavy oil and in lighter oil can swing outside deep to give you more length. Saves power till the end making a late agressive move to the pocket that usually doesn't leave a lot of 10 pins. The only problem I have had is the balls loss of effectiveness when the surface is dirty. Keep the ball clean and lightly polished with some 3M machine polish (not a polish that will clog the ball pores and take away drive) or just use some Neo Tack Renew-it to clean and leave a slight polish. May need to make some fast and big moves when the lanes dry up but as long as there is oil somewhere there is a shot for this ball.

Great ball if your bowling alley believes in oiling at the end of every day and keep the oil medium-heavy to heavy. Also if you are only bowling a few games or have a reserve ball to use once lane patches up or starts breaking down. I have been able to bowl some very high games with this ball but I am not satisfied with its length or with this balls consistancy. 30+ games on it and it doesn't seem to have absorbed much oil and the coverstock isn't destroyed like some of my other balls. I'll give it a 7 out of 10 for its good first game performance.

Generally, this ball is an animal & not easy to tamed. One thing good is reduce the bottom weight plate from original Phenom, this ball can move much more longer with strong arc track. This is a definately nice mid-heavy oil lane monster. The strong with a little jumpy flip provides very outstanding reaction in clean backend.Looks like a reverse "L" but not so sharp. If you have normal revolution, then I will recommend this ball.It will be surely of your favorite ball during most of the games you will play by 35'~38' oil pattern.Even 40' with light volume oil pattern can be made in your controll. As I mentioned all the time, don't forget to clean your ball after finished games. This small action will extend your ball more longer of life.

I got this ball about a week ago, primarily to use as my heavy oil, heavy carrydown, ball. I have it drilled with the pin next to my middle finger and the CG out to the right, weight hole on the other side. I've thrown it on two different conditions and was very happy with the reaction both times. The first time I threw it on lanes that had significant carry-down, I threw from the 5th dot out between the 2nd and 3rd arrow. The ball got through the midlane great and revved up on the back end, exploding into the rack. This ball carries everything if you get it anywhere near the pocket. Very forgiving even when I miss my mark. I threw it this morning on a freshly oiled pair, and the ball was awesome. It gets through the oil very cleanly and blows into the pins like a cluster bomb. I'm talking pins flying everywhere, messengers galore, running home to mama kind of hitting power. I was able to throw a few different lines with equal results. The first three games I threw were 243, 218,

My specs are in my profile. The ball: 14# 5oz 3" pin 2 ¾ oz top Drilled: Pin; 3¼" above grip center on bridge line (4 ¾" to PAP) MB; 1½" left of VAL and 2½" below grip center (4" to PAP) Balance hole on VAL 1¼ below PAP pitched away 1¼" Bowled on a Medium/Heavy 43' pattern Let me start by saying this thing has more backend than any particle ball I have ever seen, I think it rivals strong pearls for backend flip. The ball gets through the head with no problem, sets up nicely in the midlane and then bam it flips and screams to the pocket. This ball moves the instant that it finds dry so it is a great long pattern ball for me which is exactly what I was looking for. With the strength it has in the backend I think it will allow me to go around the carrydown from bowlers that play the track area which is most in my fall league. For comparision I set up 2 lanes with a fresh shot so I could use the Unleashed on 1 and my X-Factor on the other. The X is 4"pin to PAP and

Wow !!!! I made a review about the Animal Untamed. but this ball.... Well if yer need a ball stronger in every capacity than the Animal Untamed then this ball is the one for you. The ball hits like an express train... If the ball is is inside the 2nd arrow by 4 to 8 boards then say hello to the left hand gutter. Had ball drilled the same as the Untamed. 3 3/8ths drilling leverage. But I am finding that I have to move my feet at least 8 boards left. And yes this was on med to heavy oil pattern. Heavy oil I can see that it will be very predictable. To all Crankers forget the Ultimate Inferno and get this. I think you will get a shock when you polish this ball. Great reviews on ultimate inferno but like I said " This ball will shock you with its backend power "

A little about me first.....This is the 4th year I've bowled in league and my average has gone up every year. The end of last year it was 156. It's now between 165 and 170 depending on where I'm bowling. I don't throw a big hook I throw the ball about 8 board and it revs up strong and turns on the backend and WHAM - pins everywhere! I've had the ball for about 2 months and I love it. I got my first 600 series (607 171,242,194) 3 days ago and last night I got a 676! (236,204,236) Thats 166 pins above my average for a series and its the first time I've ever had 3 200 games in a set!! The first game I had 7 strikes in a row and the last game I had 6 in a row!! Once you get use to this ball it's a lot of fun - sorry I'm not good with the techinal stuff but at least you can see my experiences with it so far!

This ball is a heavy hooker that will recover from anywhere with correct ball speed. It tends to "Squirt" through the break point once in a while when thrown to hard and leave a week 10 pin, but that is operator error more than ball error. I have above average ball speed and revs and can not thwor this ball on my league shot as there is not enough oil. I have only thrown about 12-15 games with this ball as it has only worked on fresh tournament oil without over hooking. I have cleaned this with the track magic clean and dull and that seems to make it hook even more! All in all another solid effort from Track.

This ball is a monster, Awesome hit! Great hook, make a big move to the pocket, I have bowled a 276 with this ball which is my personal best! Track Rules!!! Awesome ball, like every new track ball. This ball costs more than most but it is sure worth it. Medium to very heavy oil is no problem for this ball. I am very happy with this ball and have recomended it to many people and know two that have just go theirs and are very happy also. Grab one of these balls as soon as possible, you will not be sorry. This is the kind of ball that makes you want to change all of your equipment over to Track! and I was a Storm man before, LOL!

like what ive come to expect from Track it hits really hard. it is the most aggresive ball ive ever had. i usually throw me Triple Threat 10L-15L with my feet over 3rd arrow till about 7 board. but on the same shot with the unleashed im up against the ball return. or outside the ditch and i have any where outside 4th arrow. though i usually play in between 3rd and 4th out to about 5 board then it just snaps hard in the pocket. this ball really is incredible. it goes really long and just turns really hard. i got this ball for states this year and it is going to be a beast. this may be the ball to win. but we will find out real soon.

Excellent ball in anyone's arsenal. I had mine drilled to further go long with pin above fingers and CG just outside the thumb. I usually throw the ball over the second arrow swinging it out to the 5th board. You can play this ball on dry condition lanes but you better increase your angle of release to a more pronounced one and you better keep the speed up or the ball will fly well before the second arrow and forget about swinging anything out further than that. Very forgiving ball with predictable hook but then again I do have drilled to go long. The Unleashed quickly became my go to ball. If you have medium to high rev release you are fine but you may need to drill ball much more aggressively if you are weight block or low rev bowler. Ordered the first one in my house and in one month found purple balls all over the place, so the word is out.

Phenom Unleashed - out of the box, this ball is made for heavy oil. You can see how this ball revs up in the midlane and makes a great move to the pocket. The carry is good. So far, I have about 30 games or so in heavy oil with no loss of performance. This is by far the best oil ball I've had. It outhooks my Obsession and Aggression (probably because of the core). I recommend this ball for bowlers who have trouble hooking it in oil. I think I might try the Animal next. Rating: 9 out of 10.

It started out good on heavy oil but after about one and a half games it started wiggling down lane and forced me back to the right, when I did that it hooked early and was next to impossible to control. As long as my speed is perfect, and I stay in the oil, its pretty good, I just wouldnt spend another two hundred and thirty bucks for this one and I probably wont spend that much again, my mid price balls are just as good. thank you for listening and live long and prosper, I am out. maybe I should type a few more words, blah, blah, blah.

I got this ball because my apex obession got cracked and i was going to get another one. I asked my coach about it and he said that i should get one. So i did and in 6 games it became my second favorite ball (next to the x factor). This ball has a backend that is out of this world. I didnt shoot lower than a 225. I dont even think that i was close. This will be the last ball i get for a while. I think ill start goin back to storm, but if they make another version of this ball i will be one of the first people to get it.

Pretty much if you need a ball that hooks a ton and will finsh on any lane condition, this is the ball to get. You will need to know when to turn this ball and when not to. This ball unlike the orignal phenom will polish up very well. I would tell any body that puts a lot of hand in this ball to polish it right away. I have thrown many other track ball, but this is the first ball to carry the 12th ball( on my first 300 game). So over all I am saying this is one of the best balls out on the market.

This ball kicks butt. it happens to be my first high peformance ball. when i asked my pro shop guy what to get he suggested this ball. he had me drop to a 15# instead of a 16# because he said when the lane broke down i would need to add a little speed. The ball revved up like a champ. this thing hits like a tank. i dont see how anyone could dislike a ball like this. track struck gold when the made this ball. it was a last second decision between this ball and the fear factor. and to be quiet honest im glad i chose the phenom unleashed. ;-)

This is the best ball I have thrown to date. I would recommend it to anyone and have recommended it to many people already. I have a shot 794 and 751 series with it. I have shot about 6 260's games and 3 270's games with it and I have only had it 3 weeks. This ball hits harder than any other ball I have thrown. It will slide through the first part of the lane and hit with tremendous power. I am shooting the third arrow carrying out to about the second arrow. Our shot is 42 feet down with the outside 5 dry. When other people are coming up low in the pocket, this ball will destroy the pins.

We frilled this one for a customer 4 x 4 no weight hole. Pin under ring finger. This ball clears the front pretty good for a dull ball and explodes into the pocket. Unbelievable backend. ball roars to the pocket. The hitting power...fantastic. Actually amazing. This ball explodes the pins. It appears to be a very smooth ball. What I mean by that is that it makes a smooth transition from skid to roll. But boy does it roll up. This ball is great. You will definitely love this ball if you have med to oily lanes to play with. Kepp it away from the dry, it will check up a little.
